    Great event....Umesh...where were you dude?

  9. Thank you so much to everyone who participated in and came out for the event yesterday! I was truly blown away by the slew of amazing, kind-hearted, and talented people.

We are so blessed to have to many outstanding non-profits in the San Francisco area - which really seek to create change and improve upon the world around us.  Whether it be through providing youth outreach with Larkin Street Youth and City Youth Now,  or through  youth mentoring programs with Spark,  or through animal rescue with Wonder Dog Rescue, or by making the world a greener place with trees with Friends of the Urban Forest, or through filling hungry stomachs with curry and love with Curry without Worry, or through the Theater and Arts with ZSpace and CounterPULSE,  or through emotional and practical support for people dealing with life-threatening diseases by Shanti, or through technology and outreach with Engineers without Borders, or through home delivered meals for people dealing with AIDS with Project Openhand,  or through youth run supper-clubs with Old Skool Cafe, or through counseling and safe havens for domestic abuse victims with Casa de Las Madres, or through tours of the city with City Guides, by being a neighborhood resource - through the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center, and by providing primary resources for people with disabilities with The Arc.

In addition to the slew of inspiring non-profits - it was so wonderful to learn about how bread can help build community with Sour Flour, how to make art from organic materials through Farmer's Block, how to stay on top of the local comedy and music scene through Snob Theater and Seaweed Sway, and about the thriving urban art gallery scene with 1AM Gallery.

From all of the fun inside Cafe Cocomo - including natural affordable beauty products from Yes to Carrots, to Cressie Mae's hula-hooping, to incredible bites from Fog Harbor Fish House, to powerful dance performances from Blue Sparrow Pilates and MGM Grand, to William Wardlaw and Roy Two Thousand's on point DJing and guitar collaboration to Maiden Lane's dynamic and inspiring performance and to El Radio Fantastique's riveting and mind-blowing artistic and musical production.

To all the fun outside Cafe Cocomo - including lovely performances by Waste Band, Benjamin Anderson and Andrew Moore, to the absolutely mind-blowing cupcakes from That Takes the Cake, swoon worthy pies from PieTisserie, addictive cookies from The Cookie Department, to the famous chocolate covered butterscotch cookies from Kika's Treats, to the much buzzed about Smitten Ice-cream wagon - churning out cold deliciousness.

Paired with all of the heavenly bites - were incredible wineries - including Sonoma Portworks, Barber Cellars, Flora Springs Winery, and Starlite Vineywards.  Each person pouring radiated warmth and educated attendees about their variety of wines.

And of course major props to amazing and unique Cafe Cocomo, and all of it's wonderful staff for hosting the event!

  10. oh and who can forget all of the lovely tequila sampling from Don Pilar!
