First of all, 5 stars for Orange and their website, professionalism, clear pricing structures, and client services manager Kevin. They really know how to work with people. Totally impressed.
Second of all, 10 stars for Ryan Anson. I guess I should wait until I get the photos back, BUT Ryan was a total star at our wedding. In addition to putting up with the normal stresses of wedding on a hot Calistoga day, Ryan dealt with kids, multiple locations at the site, timing changes, lack of shade, and flirty single friends of ours with complete professionalism.
Ryan was a total rockstar. Always there when we needed him to capture something and with, what's very important to us, a sense of humor about it all. He didn't treat it like "just another wedding...stand here and okay put your hand to your cheek. yawn" instead it was more of, "okay bride, if you want to milk the cow sculpture in your wedding gown, i'll shoot that!"
He got all the shots done that we mentioned were important, but also kept an eye out. He made it fun instead of another task to get done.
Can't wait to update on the shots themselves! :)

Gene launched my career as a Local Celebrity. He discovered me at Qool years ago and seem to enjoy taking shots of me in motion (which is the most difficult). In 2004 he took a shot of me and friends at the Best of the Bay party that was used in their advertising the following year!
Orange Photography has an excellent studio space in the center of the city and they are now celebrating their SIXTH anniversary!!! I'm sad I cant make it to the party because now that Gene is so popular I never see him anymore!!

Our photographer (Ryan Anson) was great. But dealing with the sales people on the contract etc was a real headache. They went back on things they told us several times. But in the end, we're very happy because of the excellent photographs.

We used Orange for a corporate party we throw annually for clients and employees, and we couldn't be more pleased with the level and quality of service we received from them. Our photographer Gene (one of the founders of the company as I understand it) was prompt, professional, fun and above-all, extremely talented. We're very happy with the quality of the photos that were taken for our event, and will certainly be using Orange for all of our photography needs going forward.
this company was such a joy to work with. everyone was super friendly, helpful, and fun! make sure to ask for JACK: the best photographer ever! gorgeous, creative, original photos. his enthusiasm is contagious and you feel like you've been friends with him forever within 10 minutes of meeting him. you can tell this guy is super passionate about his craft. and man, what a nice guy. worth every penny of his fees and then some. love you JACK!
I used these guys for wedding photography, Vasna did our pictures. She was great, and everybody loved the photos. Reasonable, professional, friendly and responsive.

My husband and I used Orange Photography for our wedding and we are ecstatic with the results! I am looking forward to completing our wedding album and seeing the finished product.
We hired Jack from Orange and he made everyone including my picture hating mother comfortable. He was unobtrusive in our wedding yet was able to capture the important moments. I look forward to using him in the future, perhaps with baby portraits?!

I found Orange at my last job when we needed an event photographer. We used them the year after, as well, and had great pictures. Gene is great--totally laid back, creative and makes you feel like you KNOW your pics are going to come out great.
When my new company (a startup) needed head shots of the exec team, I didn't think twice about who to hire. Gene came to the office and did his magic again. The pics came out great, and we have some unique shots (and some funny ones, too) that we love!
I hope to hire Gene for my wedding....whenever that is ;-)

I used these folks to handle my corporate head shots for my company. They were professional, quick, and made everyone, even the camera shy folks feel comfortable. They have a very easy to use online system to select your pictures, and did a good job with the touch ups. Not to mention, they were affordable, which was a nice change of pace from the people who insisted that every head shot creates a new breakthrough in who you are. Come on...sometimes you just need a good picture, not an epiphany! Thanks for delivering what we needed, not what you think we should have asked for.
My friend asked me to model her jewelry in a photo shoot and I was a little nervous because I'm not a real model, but Jack of Orange Photography was awesome! He instantly put me at ease and was great at gently directing me. It ended up being a really fun experience. And then I saw the photos and was blown away. They were gorgeous and I looked like a real model! He's the real deal.
I've worked with Orange many times and have gotten great results each time. If you are looking for an artistic eye, interesting angles, and action photos that are unexpected, you will enjoy their services too. All of the photographers I've met through Orange are friendly and easy to work with, which I can say from experience is unusual for event photographers. Some photographers use their ego and not their camera lens while working. Not these guys. GO Team Orange!

By far the best full service photography business in San Francisco. Great website (intuitive and easy to use design and functionality), extremely talented photographers and comprehesive service offerings. Highly recommended.

i have written and deleted several reviews on yelp since i started yelping about two years ago. when my reviews start focusing on the negative, i delete them and try to write something positive - so that brings me to orange photography! i knew orange photography when they were just little seedlings. i met gene in 1998 or 1999 when he was the unofficial photographer for qool. he's so talented, he even made me look good in pics! since then, he's built this amazing company with his incredibly talented partners. he takes beautiful pictures, he has an amazing sense of style (have you seen his shirt collection?!), and he works his butt off!!! if i ever get married or have a photo-worthy event, i'm calling on gene to capture the event!

I know one of the photographers here, he's pretty rad. I've never used them, but I've seen them cover some great events. The website is a nice place to kill some time, very well done.
Words cannot express our joy over the photo memories of our wedding. (They say that pictures are worth a thousand words...as far as our photos, they almost leave you speechless.)
Jack Huynh is a genius and sweetest person, too! We're busy working on our album...and it's not easy to choose! He fulfilled our fondest hopes. Comments about the photo slideshow:
