I had an engine light and some electrical system codes on my truck. So we replaced a bad tensioner and belt which fixed the electrical codes. Naturally, we reset the codes. SpeeDee failed my truck because the codes had been reset recently, then charged $50. They said drive it for a 100 miles and bring it back and they'll only charge $25. Why not ask customers if there's been recent work before charging them. Waste of my time and money. Won't bring any of my vehicles back to SpeeDee again.

I had oil change with them a week ago and now I found the bottom of the engine is leaking something and got engine too hot warning on the dashboard. I have no idea why every time my car got issues after oil change!!! I literally freaking out for next time oil change

Ive been there before and everyone was friendly I had just got an oil change on my Chevy Aveo and it went great. I went in this past Friday 5/9/24 with a different car my BMW and had an oil change and radiator flush done. My car was running well before I brought it in. Everyone was great and helpful. I noticed that the gentleman had pulled my car out off the maintenance section thinking it my car was finished then also noticed there was puddle of fluid all over the ground right outside of the maintenance are which I found odd? He also ran a diagnostic check and told me I had a small emission leak and small oil leak. That was about it. I stood there for awhile waiting for my car to be ready. Didn't know where my car went? Finally the girl says I'm just waiting for the guy to give me your keys? Which he was done with my car for awhile now. He was already working on another one. Got my keys paid and I went straight home after that. Woke up Saturday to run some errands and my car started acting really crazy. Next thing I know my temperature light goes on and my car is running insanely hot and my radiator fan starts blowing very hard and loud and my car just just stops. So I pull over and wait for it to cool down. Check the radiator fluid which I noticed my bobber is missing? I had checked the radiator fluid the day before and it was there. Anyways my car now is overheating and I don't know what's wrong with it? They were closed Saturday and I call today and no one is answerin. I'm so upset I'm thinking he probably put the wrong coolant in it. Made my water pump mess up my bobber head might have broken off into the water pump? Who knows I need answer! So upset right now..

Jul 29, 2023Previous reviewI came in to refill AC ... they took a look at my car one hour later . The call me to tell me they can not refill it due to a leach in my AC. The I go to pick up and and get hit with a 167.00 fee for them to tell me this. With the addition fee of 750 if I want them to fix it.

I would ask yourself of what matters most to you quality or value. Because I made the mistake of taking my 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan for an oil change. Mind you an oil change is a simple job or am I wrong? I knew the shop was at wrong when the owner started saying the always have back up parts for Volkswagen drain bolt. Why would you have have spares anyways and if you say that you deal with Volkswagen vehicles all the time should you not know how to do an oil change and know the parts are plastic. They may have seen many customers coming back with a leak in their oil pan because that happen to mine. Now I'm stuck with high cost of repairing the oil at the dealership, plus I'm out of work because I don't have a car or take my daughter to preschool.
So ask yourself, do you want the job done right and save future big repairs or save money at the time for something that may not be done right.
The picture attached is the oil in my car. Wait, there's no oil in it because if the leak but this place couldn't even find the leak until I went to another SpeeDee in Stockton, which I would recommend because they found the leak and told me I should have not driven my car from Modesto. My whole back car had oil residue.
To top it off the owner is asking me to keep him in contact of my car and for the rest of the week he's on vacation.

I've been taking my cars here since 2019 for oil changes/ brake replacements/ tune ups, everybody is very friendly and fast, but carefully. They always meet my expectations with everything, the even changes my broken oil pan that I didn't know about for free with an oil change. And fixed my front liscense plate that was broken as well. Very good prices too . The owner is very nice as well. Definitely recommend this place for anybody in Modesto needing fast and quality work done on their car.
