When you need to visit a body shop, it means something has happened to your car. Well, while waiting for a green light, the driver behind me was probably texting and thought it was a green light and decides to accelerate and rear-ends me, though she only admits she thought it was a green light. After reporting the incident to my insurance company, they recommended Service King by the Coliseum, which was closest to me.
I called and spoke to Dani and arranged a date for me to bring in my car. I was supposedly could have checked on my appointment status on their website, but I was never able to and had to call to confirm my appointment date two days beforehand.
Bringing the car on the morning of the appointment, I met Dani, a very pleasant personable receptionist. She checked me in and said that I would get a call after they examine my car to determine if there was any internal damage. The next day, Jose called and said my car was repaired and can be picked up at the end of the day since the damage was just the bumper skin. Since I was busy, I requested a pick up the next day and he said no problem.
Picked up the car the next morning, signed the paperwork Dani had for me and Jose drove the car out. The car was washed and bumper was beautifully repaired. Don't do business here.
Had a minor body issue with my van that went $1k over estimate and 2 weeks over time with no communication. My wife had to call daily to get updates and was told "my manager will call you back" every day for over a week with no response.
We went without our car for so long without any apology or understanding.
To top it off, they did extra work like charging for a tire replacement, alignment (i only had a scratch on a door and drove my car over 200 miles after my body damage), painting a door that wasn't affected at all, and charging us extra for a moulding job that seemed exorbitant.
Finally when I went to pick up today, they told me I had to pay $2500, then $3,000, then finally $250 after I calculated the insurance checks they had to find in their system with my own calculator. I wasn't aware of any charges so told them I'd call with a CC once i got home which is 19m away, but that's the only time the manager even seemed to care - when he wasn't getting immediate payment.

Do not bother taking your car to this place
They have the worse service ever. It took a month to get my front bumper fix, they didn't even bother to keep me updated through out the repair process.

My mom, Mayretta Ewing, is a senior. We all know businesses that prey on women and seniors.. Not here...This business treated her so well that she insisted I shout them out on Yelp.

This is definitely NOT the type of place anyone looks forward to going to. Rather it is a place one "has" to visit.
With that said, what brought me here was because my car was hit by another driver's passengers swinging open the right doors and damaging the left side of my car including shattering my left mirror. One thing I quickly realized with the continuous rain is how dependent I am to my mirrors as it is truly a safety hazard to not be able to see cars, pedestrians, parking, lane etc clear to drive safely. I couldn't tell if there was one car or a million cars as I had no idea looking through shattered mirror.
Anyways, after calling around the few places in Alameda and here at Service King, I realized how attentive and friendly Travis O'Toole at Service King really stood out in a positive way. He understood my concern of how dangerous it is to be driving without a working left mirror and knew I tug around lil ones all day long especially in this mad Bay Area wet rain, he made sure I got the soonest available opening to drop off car for repair, replace and repaint of left side. He was responsive to our concern of having a car in the meantime and made sure a rental was available with Hertz. He also took note that my husband is very particular with paint coat and clear coat looking good without runs.
In any case it's never a fun thing to go through what we had but I'm so grateful for a couple of things: the responsible party acknowledged and accepted liability, that I got my car back better condition then when I dropped it off and Travis's attentive service and concern for his customers made the ordeal tolerable. If you ever have to experience an automobile accident at least go see Travis. Tell him you heard great things about him from Emi.
I'm grateful to be reunited with my car again...and thanks to Travis the reunion was prompt!!!! As much as I'm grateful to have a rental car to drive around in the mean time my car was in the shop, I'm even more appreciative of Travis for his help. It is so wonderful to drive my own car finally and through all this realizing very quickly how much I love and miss my baby Subi. I had repairs done here in March of 2017 after an accident that had a lot of front and damage. I requested all Subaru parts be put in my then 2 year old car because had an extended 7 year warranty. I was told that they would use Subaru parts they had my car for about a month working on repairs. Flash forward to today. I need to replace my cars air compressor. Turns out it's an off market air compressor. It voided out my warranty. What would have only cost $100 to replace with my warranty will now cost me $1200. DO NOT use here they use off market products when you request brand name.

I took my car here and the inspector said it was a total loss... damaged at the back door... I had just got shocks motor mounts and a wheel alignment before bringing it... its a grate car... I decided to keep my car and all the work I just got done is un done and its making noise it never did before... the guy at the desk said they didn't do anything but my car is sitting lower than it was... the mechanic that did the work says its old pieces put in place for the new ones... I just spent over 1000 on my car... I'm pissed... I only left a little gas in it so they couldn't be joy riding in the car and they put gas in it and I checked the mileage...

I called Service King and spoke with their special Tesla customer service group to get my Model 3 serviced after a hit and run. I called twice, having to reschedule my first appointment, and they scheduled me for service at this location both times. Dutifully drove to Oakland for my scheduled appointment only to find out that they don't actually service Tesla's at this location. Then why did you make me come here?
