I've been searching for a new go to Mexican restaurant since Las Delicias closed (off Arapahoe and Broadway). The popular restaurant (with several locations) tastes ok, but is always crowded and food inconsistent.

I've now come to Jaime's several times and left happy and full every time. The chips and salsa are solid and will tide you over until your food arrives. House margaritas are very reasonably priced and strong.

Nachos, enchiladas, soft rellenos, and their green chile are all very tasty. I can't wait to come back and try their Posole!

I'm basing this review off of taste/deliciousness, price point, menu, unique offerings, service, and location. If you're familiar with wow bao and you like it, you'll love this place (it's way better, IMO).

This spot is located very conveniently to the 16th & California light rail stop, budget friendly, delicious, and quick. It's probably my favorite place to grab a bite before a show at the DCPA or the Paramount.

You might have noted that my favorite meal/food is Taiwanese dumplings/potstickers. These dumplings are not Taiwanese but they're damn good. The wrapper is just the right thickness to be sturdy but not so thick it overwhelms the filling.

Buns (8 per order) are also delightful, steamed or pan fried (they call it water fried. It's the literal translation but means that it's steamed then fried). I HIGHLY recommend the vegan buns- filling is a mix of shiitake, wood ear, carrots, and either rice or glass noodles super finely minced. I've been looking for these buns high and low and this is the first place I've found them in many years.

Noodles- we tried the Dan Dan noodles last night. Perfectly cooked with a bit of chew and thick enough to stand up to the sauce. Corn was an interesting addition that I didn't mind. I do wish they were more generous with the baby shanghai bok choy.

Most entrees are $10-12. One order of anything should be enough for a single person. It would be AMAZING if you could order 4 pork and 4 vegan buns for a single order.

Last- the open faced buns (Gua bao): the beef was tender, the cucumbers fresh. About 10x too much sauce but easily fixed by scraping it off.

You'll notice that there's no shortage of Asians eating here. That's your cue that it's "not bad" (Chinese phrase for really good). Try the apple sidra soda!

My first time since it switched ownership (previously was Solid Grounds). I'm not sure if the large room on the right with tons of couches and tables is still part of this coffee shop, but the main area is still large enough to host plenty of folks who want to sit and chat/work for a bit.

Service is stellar, thought it might depend on who is helping you. When I ordered my food and drink, she asked which salsa I would like to accompany my breakfast burrito. My iced coffee was great and they press the burrito (YES!), but there was no salsa. Easy enough to flag someone down and ask for it.

I was able to find a 2 top to sit down and get some work done pretty easily on a Sunday. I'll be back!

Ever since Las Delicias closed a few years ago, I've been on the search for a new go-to spot for Mexican food. Down here in suburbia, the IT place to go (Los Dos) is always VERY crowded (all of the locations) and I had a not great take out experience a few months ago.

Like any good yelper, I have been on the lookout for new restaurants. I'm puzzled as to how this place went unnoticed for months before I tried it.

On a friday evening, I was starving and was able to convince a friend to come for an early dinner (I guess I could've tried to play it off as intentionally coming during HH). We both ordered margaritas and combos (yeah, yeah. I know. but it's a great way to get a sampling of the food). Chips (made fresh!) are crispy, just the right thickness, and salted. The salsa is a great medium spice level. That basket didn't last long. The drinks were large, delicious, and dangerous. We contemplated using light rail to come next time, so we could enjoy more than one. Don't miss the food offerings on the HH menu either (didn't try any, but some great options on there!)

I was very full and happy as I left. I love any place where the soft Chile relleno is the default. Rice and beans were tasty and cooked well, but not needed on my already overly large plate (3 combo - burrito, relleno, and tamale). My friend was also very happy with her food (burrito and tacos) and drink (strawberry marg).

I can't wait to come back to try everything else!

Nono's is well-known to the folks who live around here, but perhaps a bit of a hidden gem to the larger Denver metro community. Conveniently located just off Santa Fe on County Line (also super accessible from C470), there is plenty of parking.

Inside, you'll be warmly greeted by the host(s). I don't know if I've just been very lucky or purposefully going at off-times, but I'm always seated immediately. They do have patio/porch dining, if you want to take advantage of good weather.

      My favorite items:
Anything with Monica sauce on it. Blackened catfish, the breakfast burrito (I usually get the half green chili/half Monica sauce option), the salmon. I've also gotten Sondra's grits during brunch and been very pleased. If you are accustomed to baked Mac n cheese, this place has it! It's a generous portion. Finish it all off with a slice of the strawberry cake or some beignets and a coffee.
