We had a flat tire during a visit to Santa Barbara, just before leaving to drive back north. We limped into Motor Brake & Wheel on our run flat tires after another auto service place said they could not look at our car. The owner's wife was very friendly and accommodating. She asked the technician to look at our tire right after he came back from lunch. After verifying the tire had a puncture he put on the spare tire for us. The charge for this quick and friendly service was nominal. It saved me from having to change the tire on the side of the roan and we were able to drive back to the SF Bay Area with only a modest delay.

This is a great place in downtown Santa Barbara to get your car serviced. I personally found it affordable for an oil change and general service. The convenient location is a real plus since I usually frequent a Honda-specific service in Goleta.

Be sure to get all costs up front. If you know you need a major servicing, like a 30K that includes changing air filters and fluids, etc - be sure you get the complete outline of servce and costs up front.

I've since moved to Washington State but wanted give a shout-out anyway.

We were on a road trip and were located just North of Santa Barbara when we noticed our air conditioner was not blowing cool air. Googling the closest repair shop to our hotel, I called Motor Brake & Wheel Service. Barry efficiently checked, inspected, tested, and recharged our A/C first thing the next morning while we enjoyed a stroll around charming downtown. Upon our return, he advised us on his findings, what he did to bring it up-to-speed, and shared some helpful advice on how to help prolong the life of the A/C system. The fee was reasonable, especially given our last minute 'plea for help.' We found a friendly thank you card attached to a lollipop in the car. This unexpected detour did not put us behind schedule and kept us comfortable for the remainder of our road trip, thanks to Barry's friendly and professional expertise!

This is probably the third time I've been to Motor Brake & Wheel since I've lived here and yet I'm still surprised every time at their amazing customer service. They have a quick turnaround, extremely reasonable prices and they work with you to solve your problem. I always recommend them to a friend when they have car issues and my friends thank me for it. When I first moved to Santa Barbara I was trying to find a car shop and thank God I found this one. I've been going to this place for over a year now and they're always very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Tried to charge me $800. I thought that was crazy and I'm glad I did! I had the job done for $370 in Ventura. The staff are nice but who cares with prices like that.

Sarah gave excellent service! Very helpful and transparent about everything. I was kind of bummed things took longer than expected and cost a bit more than expected but sarah had compensated for the inconvenience.
