Maid Brigade

I use the Maid Brigade for my cleaning service and every three weeks they come with there team and clean everything. I have had them come out about 8 times now and each time has been great and a treat to come home to a clean house. They truly go above and beyond. I found there pricing to be pretty fair and I did get a few quotes. I highly recommend them. Trust them implicitly. I also love that I can just text them when I need something.

I have been a client for a couple years and have never been disappiointed!

Bad experience - so ashamed of how much a one-time clean cost us and the cleaners ruined a rug that we had to throw away. Our quote for a one-time clean for a tiny (less than 1000 sq ft) house was $179-298. Like other reviewers, we were charged the highest possible amount (over $320 with tax). We waited outside the back door to meet with the supervisor during the cleaning, but she came and left through the front door and we didn't get to walk through the house with her as promised - maybe just miscommunication, but frustrating. Cleaners were lovely young women, and we were pleased for the most part with the cleaning- spots were missed, they didn't do some of what we'd hoped, but had it been half the price would have given 3 stars - the cleaning was fine but I'd never hire them again, even at half the price.

But in our basement they either washed our shag rug with water or spilled a great deal of water on one corner, and a week later it was covered in black mold. We were out of town and our house sitter sent photos then treated the rug and ground to get rid of mold. Because of the extensive damage to the rug, we had to throw it away.

I contacted maid brigade much too late (my fault - we were out of town and just thinking about the excessive cost and bad experience made me feel so angry and ashamed - I kept putting it off to deal with later), asking if there is anything that could be done to make this right. They said no, sorry, nothing. Had I called back the day after the cleaning they say they could have done something.

Do not hire them for a one-time clean unless you want so-so service at exorbitant prices. And if you do hire them, do a very thorough check after the cleaning and call right away if anything is wrong - don't make the mistake I did and hope the whole horrible experience will just go away!

When getting an estimate, the office team was pleasant and helpful. They did not set any prices as they had not seen my home, but they gave me fair and decent estimates. They never made any promises that they did not keep.

Cleaners showed up within the 3 hour window that I was quoted and started working immediately. Everything sparkles! We have 2 pugs, a very old dog, 2 birds and a cat and nearly every piece of fur that is not attached to a critter is gone!

They were nice, professional, efficient and cleaned places that I would not even have thought of. I spent hours cleaning my shower and could never get the "stains" out. Well, they did!

Our place was bigger (or messier) than they expected so they sent in a 3rd cleaner. The supervisor came to make sure we were ok with the overage charge but it is still within our initial estimated price (which was a pretty wide range).

There is no possible way I could ever have the whole house this clean at one time. When you work full time, once you finish the third task, the first thing you cleaned is dirty. Now I WILL be able to keep up with laundry and have energy to spend on other things that I value more.

I plan to have Maid Brigade come in once a month. The staff is fantastic and kind, in addition to being efficient and hard working!

Maid Brigade's service is top-notch. They call a day in advance to confirm arrival time, but are flexible if you are still scurrying out of the home, or even if you ARE home! I had a disability for many months and was unable to work, and they worked around me, which was highly appreciated. They pay attention to details - the small pleasantries are fun to find when you come home (the kleenex and toilet paper are decoratively folded!). My house feels refreshed and so do I when I come home.

Maid Brigade staff have been great about us getting a new dog too - they greet her and feed her a few treats in her crate, and now she can be out and about with them. Lastly, there have of course been issues - but they leave a comment card (postage paid) every time, so I can note them, and they will call you back to follow up. They will also send a crew out the following day to fix any errors (although I have never needed this, its nice to know they are accountable). The Green cleaning guarantee is also comforting if you have pets or children.

We have been using their service for at least 3 years now - and there was a 5 dollar increase in cost 2x in that period. Quite reasonable.

I have used Maid Brigade for monthly cleanings as well as deep clean before and after selling our house. They have always been efficient, thorough and friendly. Our apartment looks, smells and feels great after they leave.

Albeit there are only two people in our home and it is an easy clean up, I have been very pleased with Maid Brigade. I had never used a cleaning service before and was skeptical since I am a persnickety housekeeper. I am impressed with their service and am glad I made the decision to choose them

I am so disappointed! I was really looking forward to my first ever house cleaning. We scheduled a deep clean with the returning monthly service. They came to do a deep clean of most of the house, which somehow only took them a little over 2 hours. That was my first surprise...
They did not clean the sunroom, which I asked for, so it actually took me a while to even realize they had been there. Then I started noticing all of the things they missed. I'm really not even very picky, and I am NOT the kind of person to return something unless it's really bad. ... This was so bad.
They didn't vacuum behind doors, the kitchen floor wasn't even swept and was still very dirty, the bathrooms weren't dusted, and the list goes on. Literally, I have a list of over 20 things they missed and they are all things that should most definitely have been included. The worst part was the note from the maids saying that there would be a lot of areas that "needed a few times to get really spotless." I'm sorry. I was paying you to make my house spotless! I could have done a shoddy job in a couple hours for much less than 200$.
My last complaint is the customer service person: she only offered for them to come back to do a better job, which didn't work for us (guests coming in town next day) and feels very uncomfortable (oh hey, you did a terrible job, come back in my house please). They didn't offer any money back at all and I'm just not the kind of person to push that kind of thing. My husband wants to contest the credit card payment. We honestly never return things, so this was really bad. She also said that these were two cleaners that had been there a long time and "must have had an off day." Jeez! No, thanks. I am so bummed because I was recommended this service by a friend and will definitely be looking elsewhere. If you have high standards I would find a different company.

I had a very negative experience with Maid Brigade. I would never recommend this to people, especially those looking for a "move out clean."

We hired them to do a move out clean before we list our house and told them they would be coming in on the last day we are there.

I provided a list of suggested cleaning areas, but those were not addressed completely, and other things were left completely undone.

Examples of insufficient cleaning:

Stairs left cobwebby and dirty

Sink in basement not cleaned, plenty of crud and dust left for me to pick up

Was told my porch could be done, but the cleaning team refused to do it based on some kind of policy (which is fine if they have a policy, but I wasn't told this), so my porch was left muddy and dusty and with bits of trash

The splashes on the wall to the left of the sink left there, you know the toothpaste and face wash water that inevitably escapes. I got to scrub that off.

Closets left untouched, unmopped, unswept

All the little corners in drawers and edges around appliances - you know the stuff that says "thorough" and "I am ready to be on the market" and "I am well cared for" - was ignored.

All cabinets left untouched, even though spills were evident in a cabinet we looked at together

So here's how this played out. They arrived late, so I had to leave before they are finished. It's holiday time, so I leave what I think is at least a decent tip of $50. When they leave, the lock a part of my door I did not ask them to lock. I get a $140 locksmith bill. I arrive home at night for this portion of the evening, and once I get in I have to start cleaning cupboards, floors, and closets.

Y'all. It's late. It's my last night in my home. This is not how I want to spend it. But I have to clean because I leave the next morning and it simply has to get done.

I call Heather at Maid Brigade the next day and let her know how this story plays out. I am charged on the higher end of the estimate for the job. That's fine, but it's really starting to feel sour since so much work was left incomplete.

The only recourse is a return cleaning I am told. This is a totally inadequate option for me, a "move out clean" because....I have moved out and, given the circumstances, I was already forced to do the re-clean myself.

Maybe that's her corporate policy she has to work with. I get it.

Nevertheless I feel shafted, like I spent way too much money, and I would never trust this company with an important clean.

My experience with Maid Brigade was wonderful! They cleaned my apartment thoroughly when I moved out. The staff were very friendly and professional. They did a walk-through with me when they we done and everything looked great. They told me that if anything hadn't been cleaned to my satisfaction, they would come back within 24 hours and take care of it for free. I would use this service again in a heartbeat.
