My neighbor used Adam's Green Thumb to plant a tree. This landscaper put it in the ground so deep that about a foot of the trunk is underground! As a retired horticulturist from the local arboretum, I knew this would eventually lead to the tree's premature death. I showed the planting to our city forestry department and they said "this is about as bad as planting can get." It violates the city's minimum planting standards and if it were on public property the landscaper would be required to come back and replant it correctly. I showed it to a certified arborist and he said "that tree has no chance." I explained to the owner of the landscape company why it was so bad and offered to help him replant it correctly. He said no thanks, he thinks it is fine and said that is how his dad taught him to plant trees. He said that is how he plants all of his customers' trees. Yikes! We want our trees to last for several generations. Do not use this company for planting. Or if you do, at least insist that they look up and follow industry planting standards: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=10&ved=2ahUKEwjtnsTn-drlAhUO2qwKHekpAHQQFjAJegQIAxAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.treesaregood.com%2Fportals%2F0%2Fdocs%2Ftreecare%2FNew_TreePlanting.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0m0fygNjD1xmTUqzkix0hJ
