I love (!!!) LYFSUP! My mom, aunt and I - all first-time paddleboarders - had a morning class with Allison; within a half hour, we were all standing, and by the end, we all had our "sea legs." Allison is a wonderful instructor; she's a seasoned surfer and paddleboarder, and knows everything there is to know about the equipment, paddling techniques, safety, Jordan Lake-specific information, etc. We started with basic safety information ("Hello Personal Flotation Device!") and getting acclimated with the board and paddle, then moved on to SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding.) We spent a few hours SUP-ing around Jordan Lake; learning new techniques along the way (stop, turn, reverse, etc.), standing up and sitting down (and laying all the way down!) on the board, chatting and enjoying the most beautiful day. Allison even volunteered to take pictures, so we wouldn't run the risk of our phones getting wet. I would highly recommend LYFSUP to anyone; I know I'll be back!

I love, love, love Planet Fitness! I've been going daily for the past few months and I really have no complaints. It's clean, well-maintained, I'm always able to get a machine, the staff is super friendly and it really is a "judgement free zone." Probably my favorite thing, though, is the hours. I like being able to go to the gym whenever I want and Planet Fitness definitely makes that possible.

I like WeWork; it's not perfect, but could be (and is already pretty damn close.) The pros definitely overshadow the cons, in my opinion, but there are cons.

I don't like the lounge / "cafe" seating. There, I said it. It's just so uncomfortable. The bar seats, the table seats - it may look hip, but it's not practical. The couch is okay...but, to be honest, I would really just like seating with more structure. And, preferably, seating that doesn't spin.

Other than the seating, WeWork is great. (But, seating is a big deal, so I knocked off a full star.) I love the private phone booths, the "quiet room" (or, if you ask me, the "nap room"), the kitchen, the décor, the atmosphere, the location...everything except seating. Even the WeWork employees are all nice and super welcoming. The community aspect is clearly important to WeWork and I definitely did feel like a part of the community.

Always delicious, always a pleasant experience; P F Chang's is always a safe bet. My staples are the Hot and Sour Soup, Crab Wontons and the Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The Hot and Sour Soup is one of my favorite soups (...like, ever.) The Crab Wontons are like classed up crab rangoons. (Forget the cream cheese, add plum sauce and you've got Crab Wontons!) The Chicken Lettuce Wraps are pretty straightforward lettuce wraps - lettuce, chicken and spicy sauce - and they are delicious. They're also reasonably healthy compared to some of the other dishes.

Service is another consistency; it's always good. We've had a different server each time, but all have been pleasant and attentive. I've also liked our table each time; comfortable, bright and fairly spacious. (Alright, maybe "spacious" is a bit of an exaggeration, but compared to New York City table seating, it is spacious.)

Poole's is a pretty big deal in Raleigh and now I know why; everything was perfect and absolutely delicious. I went with a fairly large group, but we arrived early - we had heard through the grapevine about Poole's no-reservation policy. The staff was super welcoming and, in no time, we were happily seated at a corner table in the back.

As for the atmosphere and general vibe, I was definitely impressed. Even though it's one of the finer (dining) restaurants, there isn't even a hint of pretension. It's cute, Southern and completely charming. It wasn't a big restaurant, but we weren't cramped; it's the good kind of intimate. (The bad kind of intimate, in case you were wondering, is when you're so close to the customer next to you that when you reach for your napkin, you wind up holding their hand.) And, like I said, the staff was super sweet and very attentive.

For appetizers, we had the Pimento Cheese and Chicken Liver Pate. The Pimento Cheese was my favorite - so flavorful and it had a great kick / heat to it. I'd easily go back just for that. The Chicken Liver Pate was good, but I definitely hoarded the cheese. We then split the Roasted Beet Salad and Harland Creek Salad. I don't remember too much about the Harland Creek Salad, but I loved the Roasted Beet Salad. You can never go wrong with a beet salad, but this one was exceptional.

For my main, I had the Scallops and we split the Brussels Sprouts, Macaroni Au Gratin and Sweet Potatoes. The scallops were heavenly - great caramelization and resting on the best / butter-iest leeks I've ever had. The Brussels Sprouts were delicious, too, and swimming in buttery goodness. (This was also the only time I've asked for a second helping of Brussels Sprouts.) The Macaroni Au Gratin definitely lived up to the hype - so rich, so cheesy, so good. The Sweet Potatoes were equally delicious, but the Macaroni Au Gratin and Brussels Sprouts really stole the show.

For dessert, I had the Apple Pie and Cinnamon Ice Cream, and it was incredible. The Cinnamon Ice Cream was surprisingly my favorite part of the dish. I don't usually rave about ice cream, but it was just delicious and complemented the apple pie perfectly.

All in all, an exceptional experience at Poole's! And, as you can see, very well-documented.
