What a great event to have for a casual Monday evening.

Knowing Bilt Bar since they've opened (which always gets fuzzy since the lockdown era. I don't know if 2020 was ten years ago or yesterday) I was happy to see them host an event. I've been going to the place since it was Woodwork.

We were treated to three amazing cocktails as well as our charcuterie boards. I did the Thyme and Thyme Again which was refreshing and tasty. Didn't really want to try the sangria. Seemed like it would be too sweet for me.

We got to meet the owner of the bar and the creator of Happy Boards. They shared some great words and ideas. I don't know how but I missed out on my board, while some people were chowing down seconds. Kind of a bummer cause I wanted the meat and cheese one, but I'll gladly take two cheeses.

The Bree and Gouda were delicious. Everything complimented everything perfectly. What a great idea.

Had a great time chatting it up for a bit and appreciated a nice quiet evening out. Thank you to the folks at Bilt Bar and Happy Boards. And thank you so much to Morlene.

Zig Zag is a funky eclectic tiki bar with really well priced cocktails.

The drinks are delicious and on point. I loved their Naked & Famous and their Paper Plane. The bartender was attentive and chill. This place is all about the decor though.

If in the heart of BedStuy I highly recommend.

Fantastic event. Got to chow down while I threw down, some axes.

Having had a troubling shoulder for the past week, I was worried about the evening, but luckily got a small procedure done earlier in the day and I was ready to go. Loosened up and after some advice from our coach, Miller, I was nailing those bullseyes.

We got to also try some nice small bites, pretzel bites, cheese, meats, and some mac n cheese bites. Gave me some energy to keep tossing. Towards the end we got to have a couple beer samples and a pulled pork slider.

Wonderful night to meet up with friends and make some new ones. Thanks to the staff at Kick Ax and Morlene for setting up a fun event.

What a cute new gem of a place.

Yard Bar has a lot to offer. A large array of beers. Well made cocktails. A large outside area for groups, a pair, or just yourself. While being connected to some food options that are associated with it.

While sitting down I said to my friend it reminded me of Hot Bird and oddly enough I saw a Hot Bird sign in the yard. While I don't know if they are connected, it definitely gave those vibes. Outside area, connected to a place to pick up food (but not fully associated with the place), and excellent drinks (cocktails and beer)

It's perfect for a warm day or maybe even a brisk. Not sure what it will be like in the winter. If they got a fire pit that would be just like Hot Bird. Unlike Hot Bird, the inside space is not large. Maybe can fit about ten people.

If inside though the service was impeccable and friendly. I really had a great time here. 100% a must check out spot, especially when warmer out.

Who isn't giving this event five stars?!?!?!

This was much more than what I expected for the event. So happy to be a part of this event and help celebrate LatinX and Hispanic Heritage month.

Having to been to the Blend in LIC, I fully expected a beautiful atmosphere. Upon entering, there were lots of lights, plant life, and decor that really pushed the limits. It made the long line to get in worth it.

Typical events, I do not go out of my way to bother any waiters walking by in the start as I know there will always be a crowd of people following them. Here, they were following me. Demanding I take some food. Say no more. Top notch service.

I went to the bar and I noticed a lot of the drinks seemed extra sugary. Not my cup of tea. I asked if they could make a regular margarita and the said no problem. Made sure to tip extra, very grateful for the hard working bartenders.

Eventually I got to with upstairs, in the large dinning area, with the sun/moon roof. It was beautiful to check out the night sky. At one point they closed it and I didn't even realize.

The food was unbelievable. The toastatones were great. The chicken skewers were solid, but the beef ones were out of this world. Loved the ceviche. There were also some beef balls that resembled a croquette, but not quite, those were my favorite.

Without a doubt a ten out of ten event. Thank you Morlene and to the staff of Blend. It was a wonderful evening.
