Came here on a rainy Thursday evening. Don't think there could be a better time to have hot pot besides it not being winter. The space is not large, but sufficient to serve a good handful of parties.
Besides the hotpot, you could also opt for the Xi Ta BBQ, which apparently they just started doing. Can't comment on it as I came for the hotpot. Maybe next time if I do come back.
Fair warning, they automatically charge you $3 per person to use the sauce station, regardless if you do so or not. I don't make the rules. Just wanted to make you aware of this charge as I was not. Fun hidden fees.
I got the Dual Flavor Pot ($20), which I chose the Pig Bone Base and the Spicy Beef Tallow Base. If you like spicy, the Spicy Beef Tallow Base is the way to go. They put way too many pepper corns, which got annoying when I was trying to scoop up the meat and veggies I put in. I liked the Pig Bone Base for a balance from the spicy broth.
We got the Ferris Wheel Combo, which comes with 12 small sample items. It's a good way to try a little bit of everything as well as having a very IG-able ferris wheel. Yes, it's gimmicky. I think the better choice would have been the other combo selection that was offered. Can't really go wrong with any of the meat, seafood, and veggie selections. Loved the large variety offered and the quality is pretty good.
Came here for a 15 course omakase ($120) at 9PM. It was a pretty intimate dinner and felt like we had our own personal sushi chef as it was only myself, my gf, and another couple who booked a reservation. The entire course took 90 minutes, which isn't bad. Seems like they improved on this considering the previous reviews that it took nearly 3 hours before. Love the ambiance as it is very bright, modern wooden finishes and subtile decorations here and there. The chef's counter fits 8 people and there's a few tables scattered around.
The 15 course consisted of 3 appetizers, 11 sushi courses, and 1 dessert. The 18 course would consist of an extra appetizer and 2 additional sushi courses. Overall, I enjoyed the entire experience while also watching the sushi chef prepare the dishes. Some of the highlights include the Cherry Salmon, Fatty Tuna, and the Fatty Tuna Hand Roll. Water is refilled consistently. If you drop rice or sauce, a staff member will come and wipe it off before the next piece is served. For the main sushi courses, they will provide a book with a description or picture of the fishes being served, which is super helpful knowing what to eat. Only complaint I have was the uni that was served didn't taste fresh. All the other pieces were prepared great and fresh.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your intimate 15-course omakase dinner at our restaurant and that you found the timing of the meal improved. We're glad you appreciated our bright and modern ambiance, as well as the attentive service provided by our staff. We're thrilled that you enjoyed the variety of dishes, especially the highlights like the Cherry Salmon and Fatty Tuna Hand Roll. We apologize for any disappointment with the uni, and we want to assure you that it was fresh and premium quality, imported directly from Japan. uni was definitely fresh and premium imported from JAPAN; The current season of uni from Hokkaido Japan is almost off. they might not taste sweet as in season; and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again soon for another delightful dining experience
Came here with a friend who wanted to check this spot out. Pretty unique cigar bar concept. I came here with a coffee and the bartender was very pushy on getting me to buy a cocktail because I came with an outside drink. I ended up getting an Espresso Martini ($21) to "make his boss happy".
We each purchased a cigar. I got the Hoyo de Monterey, which was a Cuban cigar. The first one they gave me, the leaf started falling apart on me. They were able to give me a new one and made sure the leaf wasn't dry. My buddy got the Camacho Honduras. I took a few puffs and it was super smooth compared to mine. We hung out for a good two hours chatting away before heading out.
Make sure if you come here that everyone wants to be here because they will charge $5 per person if you don't buy anything.
The first time I tried this coffee brand was in Asia, but I had a Kyoto Latte iced and wasn't really too impressed with it. Someone recommended getting it hot as it would be better, so here I am.
The cashier is at the front of the oval centered counter, so the line will shoot out of the door. Would have make more sense to have it in the back so the line could stay in the shop, just my two cents. At least there's seating on both sides while you wait for your drink.
Overall the drink is smooth, not too sweet like most lattes. Would come back to try the other lattes on their menu when the line is not super long. They also sell pastries, which I stumbled upon their hidden glass case. Not sure if I would order them as I don't think people know and the pastries most likely have been sitting around.

This Shake Shack could have a lot of potential to be a great location. The floor to ceiling glass walls underneath the High Line gives it a modern touch next to the other brick buildings.
They rely on 4 self-service kiosks, one of them was broken during the time I was there. After placing your order in and giving yourself a random number, I waited a good 15 minutes for one burger to be ready, even though it didn't look like a lot of people ordered. They were for sure understaffed, which is crazy as I've seen kitchens with 10-15 staff members in the kitchen working. Tables are not really kept clean, due to them being understaffed. At least the burger tasted good.
