Ordered online easily enough. I live in the apartment building literally right beside this location. Took over 40 minutes to get my mediocre order. So much for "freaky fast"

Pretty awful experience compared to other places. Started at Neo to grab a beer and food to-go to take into the movie. Good tool awhile to get. Beer was a good draft though - lots of options.

The food: chicken tender sandwich smelled fishy as soon as I opened the container. Tasted that way too. It was also very dry. My mom got the brisket sandwich. She said it tasted off, like the meat was spoiled. French fries were tasteless and limp.

The theater - reclining seats are nice, when they work. Mine was broken. The theater was TINY. There were only maybe 7 or so rows total, so even in very back you are way too close to the screen. I'd prefer not to have eye strain and headaches.

Needless to say, we walked out before the movie began an went to Cinebistro. Their chairs may not recline but they definitely have a leg up in all other categories.

Went for breakfast this morning with my mom. The waitress was pleasant, and the place was packed. She took our drink orders quickly.

I got the strawberry French toast with two eggs scrambled w/ cheese and bacon. It was delicious! The strawberries were made into a syrup that was actually served on the side. I'm glad they did that because it was definitely sweet so I didn't use a ton of it. The eggs were okay, as was the bacon.

Mom got chicken fried chicken. It was an entire huge breast, and it was great - not at all dried out. Sausage gravy was good and thick how we like it. The home fries were a little on the undercooked side. The toast was regular white bread toast.

My mom had asked to have milk with her meal but we never got it.

Overall good experience and will return, but maybe a little earlier or on a weekday when they are hopefully less busy.

This was our second trip to Aberdeen Barn. It was an "okay" experience. We arrived and were seated quickly. Our drink orders were mixed up when they were brought to us, and the beer that I received was not the one I ordered. Others who had tea and coke were given the wrong drink. The salads were measly (one ring of onion, one cucumber slice, and one cherry tomato - talk about high roller), and we didn't even get a chance to finish them before the waiter took them away. Several of us ordered prime rib, and the au jus was EVERYWHERE. Just poured all over - would have much preferred to have it on the side. The baked potatoes were okay. None of the sides were anything to write home about.

The server - oh dear. First of all, a co-worker should have offered him a breath mint - not a smell I want around when I'm eating. Second, he kept rushing us. I understand that tables need to be turned so that they can get more people in and more tips, but we were there less than an hour before we got our check! Typical table turnover in a "high end" restaurant is supposed to be closer to 2 hours. For what I was (over)paying, I shouldn't have felt like cattle being herded away.

Not at all worth the high prices. Go to the Aberdeen Barn in Va Beach, or find somewhere else to go.

A really lovely place! My mom and I went for dinner last month on a Friday. It was early so the restaurant was pretty empty. We got calamari for the appetizer and it was delicious! Really well cooked, not chewy like some places get. Our side salads soon came out, which tasted great as well.

I got a pepperoni pizza, which was spot on! It was perfectly cooked and really tasted amazing. Definitely filling too. My mom got a pasta dish (Rigatoni Alla Vodka) which was just as good. And of course, the garlic knots! Really yummy, and warm and fresh. When the waitress packed our leftovers up, she even put some extra garlic knots in the box for me.

The manager stopped by, asked how everything was. He apologized for how the place looked since they were renovating, which I thought was really nice. I'll definitely go back!
