So, I'm sad we have drove past this place for many years and just thought it was a nightclub bar. From the out side we had no idea. It wasn't until we were in the area that I i jumped on yelp to look. I got a Cuban and sweet potato fries with garlic butter. Strange combo, but it was delicious. Our waitress was super kind and very fast! We would definitely go back!!

So I'm basing this strictly off of dessert. We had already eaten dinner in Monterey and we weren't that hungry just wanted dessert and tiramisu and coffee was in our heads. This was definitely a more upscale restaurant and we didn't fit in with our travel attire but we made due. It was nice and dim inside though there were a lot of homeless folks following us to the door. We were seated but had regular menus so had to ask for dessert. The tiramisu was ok - definitely not the best I've had and we had the limoncello which didn't have one drop of white chocolate on it like the description read. I swear it tasted like pledge cleaner. The service was good, atmosphere good but desserts and wait time just ok considering how slow it was.

There was no airflow in the restaurant what so ever and it was a very hot day in Monterey. Our waiter was attentive. The hostess just hands you menus and tells you to go toward a direction and pick a seat which was odd. The food was decent but the $11 garlic fries were way overpriced and horrible. The service was decent and the atmosphere cute which made up for all the other yucky things we dealt with. They do tableside card swipe so they watch you leave a tip which is always uncomfortable so I'd recommend cash if you're like me and hate that.

When I found out we were staying here I was a little disappointed that we were staying at a motel. The place was cute, quaint and very eclectic with the boho beach vibe. There were bikes to ride, we checked in late and out early to continue our highway 1 tour. So for the 12 hours we were here it was great the rooms are tiny and just enough space. The mini bar was good although we didn't purchase anything. The bathroom set up is a little odd. They must have read other reviews because I had a usb outlet on my tree night stand (there were Pennies and a few other things people left behind in the cracks which was kind of gross so housekeeping could be a lot better) the light breakfast was coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs 2 breads and croissants it was nice to watch families gather and eat and play chess in the lobby. I'd definitely stay again if I was in the area for sure!

While we stayed in Cambria a few restaurants were recommended and this was one and since we had been craving Mexican food we figured we might as well stop. It was VERY hot inside and the noise just echoed I heard everyone's conversations everywhere. The place was a little outdated and definitely overpriced. Our waitress wasn't attentive and never offered a refill on my drink or water. After traveling and spending all day in a car I want to feel like I'm wanted at the restaurant and not a burden. The food was just ok and lacked real mexican spices. In a pinch I'd be back.
