The consistency of the pollo asado and all the sides keeps us coming back for more.
The pollo asado is marinated in citrus, its juicy and prepared fresh all day long over an open flame, until they run out for the day. I prefer to eat my food under the palapa, but it travels well and reheats nicely for leftovers after a night on the town.
The side items include refried beans, rice and macaroni salad. Homemade tortillas come with every order as do the shredded cabbage, red onion, limes and salsa.
You won't regret stopping by this spot, on busy weekends they do run out of chicken and beans early because everybody gets ones for here and one to go. Enjoy!!
On our recent visit to Rocky Point I saw an ad on Instagram promoting this place so we decided to give it a shot and we were not disappointed.. parking lot was full when we arrived in the late evening
Thatch hut roof, lots of seating .. we found a table and the waitress stopped by to take our order.. big banners around the restaurant with the menu options.. not a whole lot of variety.. short and sweet
We ordered a full chicken, rice, beans, flour tortillas.. we got a plate with cabbage, onions, lime and a bowl of salsa before the food arrived.
The pollo asado is marinated in citrus and grilled over charcoal .. it's juicy and flavorful .. the tortillas were homemade and delicious (j mean it is Mexico!) , rice and beans were also delicious .. not a disappointing thing on the table.
The only thing we did not get was the sopa because I thought it was soup .. turns out it's macaroni salad .. I would've ordered that too even though we didn't finish the food we did order ..
When we were in line to pay $17 for all that food .. they were turning people away because they were out of chicken.. so get there early!! And expect a wait for your food. I'd recommend this place.. roomy enough to seat large parties
I've been to this bar/ diner a number of times for cornhole out by the pool and karaoke with their $3 margaritas but I had never had any food until this past weekend.
First, the cornhole tournaments outside are fun to watch, mostly retired "locals" enjoying a weekend of fun, plenty of shade and seating, they have an outside bar serving up cocktails & cold beers.
Karaoke usually starts at 7pm (Sat) and it's a mixed bag of regulars and tourists looking for something fun to do. I can't sing but I can karaoke and the $3 margaritas definitely help me sound better (lol). The hosts are fun & try to get everyone involved.
On my most recent visit I was starving and decided I'd try a burger & fries, perfectly cooked patty, they toasted the bun, plenty of pickles, the fries were perfectly salted.. delicious!
I would recommend stopping in, you never know what or who you'll find at the Pink Cadillac.
This is a one stop shop kind of grocery store .. they have a carnicerÃa, bakery, cheese counter and hot deli with plenty of seating.
I usually stop in early on the weekend, it gets full fast.
The hot deli is serving up all the favorites tacos, soups, combo plates, tortas, chicharrones, carnitas, aguas frescas, etc.
My favorite is a big bowl or cocido also known as caldo de res, lot of lime and a Jamaica or agua fresca. There's something for everyone.
I like the produce section, lots of good deals (grab a flyer on your way in). On most days you can get roasted green chilis, they roast them in a big drum in front of the store. They also have a huge spice and dry chili selection.
The bakery has all the pan dulce option you can help yourself to. If you need a last minute cake or dessert, stop in here. The carnicerÃa or meat counter has the cuts of meat you need for any Latino inspired recipes. The frozen section has a variety of paletas or ice cream bars.
Some of the pantry items are more expensive then other stores but it all balances out in the end.
Check them out
This was my first time at this location, I've been to their original spot in Glendale so I'm familiar with the menu and long wait.
This spot is outside of the West Covina Mall, the line was out the door & down the sidewalk, the line does move quickly though. Once inside you pick a side and wait in line for your turn, while staring at the menu and trying to decide on whether to get one of everything in the pretty display cases.
Once you've rattled off your order, you're called over to pay and are handed some of your items and a pager, the balance of your order is delivered to your table.
Another line and someone will find you a table. Finally seated and drinks show up, shortly after food items.
The food is delicious, especially those papas rellenas, fantastic. The refugiados were alright (they were cold & stuffed into a paper bag), guava & cream cheese inside a flaky pastry. The plátano chips were yummy, thinly sliced, barely fried, perfect side item to the sandwiches. Sandwiches were filling, good flavors, we ate half and took the rest home. The strawberry mojito was refreshing.
There's just soo many people, it's not a relaxing environment. Maybe next time we'll take it to go or try a different time of day.
This is my go to hotel when I visit family in CA because of its location, immediately off the freeway. I originally found it while looking for a pet friendly hotel.
The front desk staff will quickly get you checked in & give you a printed receipt you have to place on the dashboard of your vehicle while parked in their private lot. There is an electric vehicle charging station and parking for large tour buses.
A short drive from a Target shopping area, local restaurants and In-N-Out Burger. You can walk up the hill or down the hill, but it's definitely more of a car access area as there are no businesses immediately off the sidewalk.
There is no restaurant on premises, breakfast is available in the dining room, off the lobby, during set hours. You will receive a voucher/ ticket you have to show the staff member. All your standard breakfast food items are available.
The walls are thin, we've never had to complain but sometimes you can hear the people next door or walking past your room.
Overall a solid place to stay.

Dear Lourdes V.,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review based on your recent stay. We are delighted to see that you enjoyed our comfortable beds, breakfast, and found our team to be friendly. I would like to sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding our pet policy. We do have our pet agreement online for guests to reference prior to their stay as well. We hope to welcome you back for an exceptional experience soon.
Sincerely,
Beatriz Peon

Stayed here on my recent trip to Cali. Hotel was easy to find, great views of the golf course from room 318 (located at the end of the hall).
We picked this hotel because we needed a pet friendly spot that was central to where we were visiting. When I called to confirm they told me no problem with the dog, but upon check-in there is a one page agreement you have to sign.
You cannot leave your dog in the room alone unless you're going to breakfast downstairs in the hotel. I was not prepared for this and didn't bring shot records to leave him with a dog sitter. The pet agreement form/ rules should be posted online or emailed when a person reserves a room.
Other then that the room was great, big comfy bed and pillows, hotel staff was friendly, check in/out was easy, breakfast was good, lobby was welcoming, rooms were very quiet even though you're next to the freeway.
I'd stay again but would not bring my pet. I could not use the gym or pool because of the dog. The outside doggie area is really a corner with disposable bags for cleanup and nothing else
