May 17, 2016What a great place! I think that must have been the creamiest hummus I have ever had, wow it was delicious! Along with this we also had for an appetizer the fried kibbeh with cucumber yogurt sauce (I'm sure there's a proper name for it but I'm going with cucumber yogurt sauce) on the side and finally for my entrée I had the beef shawerma with an amazing side of rice (which reminds me I forgot to find out what type of rice that was, must return). Honestly, beside the great food, one of the treasures this place holds is the owner operator, Dolly. This was the first time we had been there and the first time we met her but she truly made us feel as though we were part of her family. You may think for a moment that you are sitting at her table in her home rather than at her restaurant in the middle of Charleston. I really can't say enough nice things about the way she and her staff made us feel and how much we enjoyed our visit, food and all. Gotta give it a try! You surely won't regret it. Enjoy!

Mar 3, 2016Stopped in with some customers today for lunch and we all had the Mahi Mahi lunch special. It was excellent! Not a scrap was left on anyone's plate. The fish was perfectly cooked and wasn't over seasoned, the crab meat on top was delicious and if the risotto cakes on the bottom were sold as side items I would have placed an order of those to go! I saw some comments about the prices but in my opinion what we ordered was very fairly priced. Our over all experience left us wanting more and I can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items.

Feb 9, 2016Got lucky while traveling for work and found this great little restaurant in Millen right next to the train tracks. Very friendly owner and staff with a hometown feel. I had the bar and everything was hot and delicious. I'll be stopping in again soon to order something off the grill. Looking forward to it already!

Aug 13, 2015Wow!! The freshest, cleanest most amazing oysters I've ever had. Seriously. Nice beer selection and one of the best slices of key lime pie I've had in a long, long time!

Mar 24, 2015So a friend and I drove into town not knowing where we were staying or who we were fishing with but after getting checked in at a local hotel we did some asking around and were turned onto Captain Charles Charters and we were so glad we did. It turns out we were pretty lucky to be able to book him on such short notice but he happened to have an opening and got us lined up for a trip in the bay. Of course we told him that we wanted to catch a lot of fish to which he humbly replied he would do his best. His best turned out to be pretty darn good. Honestly, we got tired of reeling in fish (if thats possible). Every fisherman knows there's no guarantee you'll catch a bunch of fish or any fish for that matter but when someone's been fishing the same waters for the last 40 years it's about as close to a guarantee as possible. Whether it was trout, Spanish mackerel, Drum, pompano or whatever; every time we've been out with Captain Charles (three times now) he's put us on fish. One guarantee you can be sure of is that you'll have a good time out on the water with the captain and go away with some great memories and most likely a cooler full of fish.
