We ate brunch here because the wait at Enid's was almost an hour, and this place seemed perfectly good. Which it was. Your typical brunch fare with a twist: poached eggs with pureed spinach, surprisingly good, good omelets, and pretty yummy brioche french toast with rosemary butter (the best part). The orange juice is fresh squeezed and particularly tasty. It's been Park Luncheonette since 1965, but someone gave it a thorough-going refresher recently because it's now more yuppie haven than classic diner. They have some great old signs, though. I wouldn't go here specially, but it's a lovely alternative if your brunch spot of choice is full.

Excellent Spanish food and she can cook her butt off! Penil is the BOMB! Great Spanish cuisine. Been coming here for years. Review long overdue. Easy on the wallet and delightful on your tastebuds! Come and support a local business! The owner is super warm and friendly. Feels like Aunty made my food :-)

Ordered french fries for breakfast. They were orange colored and seasoned with I don't know what. Not your standard fries. Not good at all.

This place is straight TRASH!! It's 3:45pm on a Friday Afternoon and the Grill is "Off," how is that even possible?! I was offered a "buffet" that consisted of cold oxtail, lame chicken, and raw beef.
There's a menu above the grill - the grill that isn't on - that you can't order off of. I walked right out. I don't know who wrote these starring reviews, but they're way off or referencing another diner.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Patrick K.Baltimore, MD21352Jun 18, 2017

I don't know whether I should feel hurt, or tickled with amusement at the fact that they gave Notorious B.I.G.'s doppelganger the Princess Plate today.

Dude!!!
They gave me the Princess Plate! That's right. I ordered yellow rice, beans, and a mound of their PERFECTLY cooked bacon. And they served it up on a Disney Princess plate. It's amazing to me that such a simple touch could make me feel all the more regal and splendid. I happily chomped on the ginormous 4.00 portion of vittles, and drank my Country Club soda with my pinky out.
I didn't give this place enough credit in my first review, but Park Avenue Luncheonette has become my go to spot for lunch. My coworkers rave about the pernil and the roasted chicken, which paired with rice and beans will run you only $5.00. Amazing!
Park Avenue Luncheonette : Where Princess Briana of Brooklyn DinesNov 11, 2008Previous reviewA big ol' portion of rice and beans for $3.50? The perfect lunch for someone trying to save a little cash in our current economic circumstance. The beans are reaaally flavorful and the yellow rice is perfectly cooked. As I am not made of money I have not tried the other options but I hear the maduros are good.

I am a Cuban-American so please believe me when I tell you that Park Avenue Luncheonette's yuca is second to none. Everything else is great there too and hella cheap. I just wished they stayed open later. Breakfast and lunch is not enough!
