      We're too cool for school.

That was our feeling as a bunch of us "old school" Eliters were in the corner, by the bar, wondering "who the hell are these people?" I won't give out names, because we're too cool for that. Hell, some of us didn't even have name tags. Why? Because we're too damn cool. if there was a jukebox, we could've hit it and turned it on, as if we were Fonzie.

But of course we moved from that corner. Sure, we only moved because the faint scent of sausages, sauerkraut and baked chicken were summoning us. The only thing missing was a triangle being rung by a little Amish boy. But i digress...

It was great seeing alot of new faces, and especially seeing people I haven't seen in, i'm guessing, days. Even weeks, which is pushing it. But I loved this place, I really did. Sure, I felt like Tarzan from the heat but the great tasting Oktoberfest Beck's really cooled me off. I had three, AND i was driving. Thats how great it tasted.

all in all, many thumbs up to Russ and Sam for a great night., a Red Sox loss notwithstanding.

      **EDIT**

I am, in no way, endorsing driving while drinking because that's just stupid. I did, however, drink alot of water and ate alot of food before I "pulled a Javier" & disappeared without saying goodbye to anyone. Well, I said goodbye to Victoria because I just wanted to get a hug out of it.

Monday night, unlimited Becks, German foodage (although I didn't try any), good friends, new friends and an excellent venue for the occasion with the almighty Yelp Mayor present and making the rounds - I can honestly say it was the best part of this week and definitely good times were had.

Thanks for another successful event and opportunity to partake in the Yelptoberfest celebration!!

      hey hey hey!
Loreley welcomes yelp elites german style!
well, what can i say - i'm not crazy about beer, so i will refrain from talking about the all u can drink free flow of Becks.
FOOD. wish i knew that there would be such a satisfying array of food stuffs. veggies and dill dip, cheeses, meaty sausage type stuffs. mmm
i guess i shouldn't have had dinner before i arrived...but that didn't stop me from eating a second dinner! hehe.

and of course the opportunity to see some old timer fave yelpers and meet the newbies.
was a great time, 'cept for the sweltering of the heat in the basement room without windows or AC.

once again, the boys of yelp throw a party! yay. thanks sam and russ :D

Thanks Sam for putting together one of my 1st Yelp Events! I had a great time meeting fellow Yelper's and +1's as well. Awesome beer, good food, and funny conversations set the mood perfectly. Adding to a perfect evening, I got an awesome tee shirt. Sweeet!

Thanks for getting my butt out from behind this computer. I can't wait for the next Elite event.

      Thanks Elite's!

Yay Yelptoberfest! Yay Beer! Boo for it being amazingly too hot. The food was good (no sausages for my Jewness, but the cheese was good and that chicken whatever the hell it was tasted great with some mustard). Good to see the usual suspects minus a few faces, and now that I am going to be missing in action for the next 7 weeks, I can be happy I made it to one of the Yelp events :)

The outdoor patio was a nice retreat after the downstairs partaaaayyy, and yes, I am a terrible person who had Magners on ice instead of more beer, but whatever dude. The fries are quite good too!

This was awesome because: it was my first Yelp Elite event, I got a t-shirt and Yelpstick, and I finally met Sam P!

It wasn't so awesome because: I was sick (and couldn't really speak or hear or drink alcohol), and my cousin had a hankering for Chinese food (thank goodness Congee Village was right around the corner).

I promise to be more social next time :)

Great location, better company, the best hosts and free Beck's and food!!! Need I say more?

Actually, yes, five stars even though I didn't love the cheeses. And that I can't wait till the next Yelp elite event!!!

      [this was written last night]

I'm so fucked up writing this right now at 11pm. I'm psychotic, i know, I'm fucked up at 11 pm. This is the time that everyone just gets started. I can't even feel my fingers touching the keys right now its so bad. This place, is mega awesome. No fucking joke. The beer selection is so dope. That rhymes. Holy shit. Back to being normal and not a 12 year old. I just came back fom the October 15th Yelptoberfest elite event at Loreley, and I just have to say that I had a blast, I met new people and the atomosphere of the place was just great. Location wise, it's a little bit in the middle of no where of the east village, but after visiting Loreley, I now realized where Freemans is, so, that was the other positive side of this visit. Basically the Yelp elite event was hosted at this loungey downstairs part of Loreley, which was dimmed, spacious, and just generally really cool. The baretender that was there that night, gosh I wish i remembered her name, but she was such a doll, she was German and blonde. Loved her. Gave her a tip that was more than my tab itself. She deserved it. Just met some really great people, and to be honest, I'd definitely go here again. Once again... so fucked up right now. Goodnight ladies and gentlemen!
