I had been looking forward to trying this place for awhile. Bacon, burger, beer, and beach - how can it go wrong?
The burger was way over done and service was very slow. It took over 30 minutes to bring our drinks out.
The waitress was very friendly.

Maybe the chicken sandwich is good?

I have had good experiences at Jackson's in the past, so 2 stars instead of 1.

It has been awhile since I had dined here. Had perfectly fine experiences before, but the food this time was not good. Here is a breakdown of our order and why we were not impressed.

Clams - very salty - why?
French Fries - we expect salt, but it was over the top
Mushroom Burger - very salty - why?
Kid's mac and cheese - thankfully had no salt
Happy Hour "Moscow" Mule - Looked and tasted like margarita mix with club soda.

To be fair, the food and beverages were consumed. The waitress was very nice. I asked her at the end if there was a new chef, but was informed that it was the same chef they have had for quite awhile.

To recap, I have dined here around 6-7 times in the last few years. Only this most recent visit was bad enough to write about. Unfortunately, with all the other options around, I can't imagine why I would come back again.

Great place with a great vibe! Friendly staff and good beer. What else could you ask for?
