U-Haul at East Colfax

I made a reservation to pick up a van at 9am. I checked in online when my reservation was confirmed. Even with a line in the store, I was out the door in less than 5 minutes. All of the staff were friendly, even going out of their way to help those who went in without a reservation. I was hesitant to use this location because of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Drop off was just as easy, although there was quite a long line of people without reservations creating a bit of a wait. This is Denver...so many people are moving constantly...make a reservation to shorten lines for everyone else!!

I called to pick up a trailer and I'll admit I picked it up after they stop accepting pick ups, but when I got in the store the clerk was standing outside cussing up a storm and when he came in the store there were 4 customers around 15 minutes to close and he had something rude to say to each person basically rushing them on. Israel was the rudest employee I've ever encountered anywhere

I was the first person waiting outside the front door arriving at 8:15. As I waited patiently more and more customers arrived. As we got closer to 9am....the one and only employee has not greeted anyone. Not a hello, not a go "F" yourself....nada. At 9:05am the door gets unlocked and again without any acknowledgement to the 15 people waiting.
I was the first, he ask me my name and confirms my reservation and then proceeds to tell me that I would have to complete my reservation by their app. Oh which I had no idea how or why it was having me do this. So after 45 mins ...YES 45 mins and 6 others already drove off in their U-Haul I finally get the keys.
The truck is absolutely disgusting inside and out. Only 5000 miles and it smells like an ashtray.

IT GETS BETTER....as I'm about a mile down the road the window is so dirty that I go to clean it....NO WINDSHIELD WIPERS. Yes you read that correct. I returned it...the pipsqueak running around tells me...oh you have to ask for them. WTF!
Needless to say I retuned the truck and never used it as it was over cast and change for rain....at which U-HAUL would have put me and my passenger in danger.

WHAT A JOKE! I will be getting a refund.

Great experience. Everyone was helpful and informative, especially Sami. We will use Uhaul next time just because of her.

Arrived on time for my pickup, employee said I was late and they didn't have a truck for me. When they realized they were wrong they gave me the keys. Got all my furniture out on the curb and then notice a lock on the truck, I couldn't get into it. I call and am told they gave me the wrong truck and needed to swap them. Got to my location later than promised. I asked if I could get a discount for my inconvenience and he said absolutely at the time I checkout. Days later I go to return the truck and ask about my discount, the manager Devin says he won't give me one. I tell him I was promised one and he begins to yell at me in front of other customers. He said there was no reason for a discount, I was being ridiculous, it wasn't a big deal, and that if I tried to contact customer support for a discount it would just go back to him and his authority. I left, upset and called customer support to report it. I made it clear that the confrontation happened with the manager and they said someone would be giving me a call to resolve it. I get a call FROM DEVIN minutes later, where he continues to harass me and tell me he told me it would just get back to him and I still wouldn't get a discount. I hung up outraged and called support again who finally resolved it. For Devin to think it was appropriate to yell at me in the first place and then be the one to call to resolve this when he was the problem is unbelievable to me. Avoid this location at all costs.

If I could give zero stars I would. Their scheduling sucks. I reserved a truck a month ago. my moving date is tomorrow and they are still trying to find me a location to pick up this truck at?! I have people scheduled to help me move and they can't assure me a time or a location until the day I am scheduled for pick up?! So unprofessional, I will go with penske next time.

Vehicle was clean and I got the van I needed. Don't expect anyone to help you, though.

Good day, I generally refill my Propane canisters on Saturdays. Over the last year this blond individual at the East Colfax in Aurora Colorado site has been there. Since the one guy left she seems to be the only person there on Saturdays. Her behavior tends to always be angry, bitchy and has very clear opinions. Like most days you can plan anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to fill the tank. Today was no different as the Blond person was there.

She was out side filling two other individuals tanks and was working on one. When I approached her with the tank to set it down she stated: "I don't have time to fill yours right now, I have other things more pressing I have to do!". This was said in her general hateful voice but, it was even crueler than usual. There was no one else inside waiting for service as a took my tank and left. Well I went to the competitor down the street.

I have been going to this same site at least once a month, sometimes 2 for the last 15 years and I have never experienced such behavior from any of the other associates/assist managers.

I don't know but it seems people forget that they are in a service industry and the costumer does come first.

Had a reservation for a truck to move our family from Colorado to Kansas. When we arrived and spoke with the associate, we were notified that they had given our reservation to someone who had come in that day claiming we were late for pick up, when it was advertised as reservation guaranteed and could pick up at any time. Then sent us to another location promising that we would be able to get one there.

Rented a truck from here for a move to Tennessee. Was driving along and a roach was crawling on the dashboard. Killed it and pushed it out of my mind. Made it to my destination and open up the back to see dozens of roaches all over my belongings. It has been two weeks and I find the occasional roach in my brand new, just built apartment. Complained to U-Haul customer service and they push it off to this locations manager who never calls back. Don't rent from here. Don't rent from U-Haul period. Zero stars.

I'd say ZERO stars, but the owner/operator who rents us the vehicle was polite. She even went as far as complaining about her employees and how they are unreliable. Rented a 26' Truck one way with a small trailer. The vehicle broke down about halfway through the 800 miles and we sat for over 3 hours before the "mechanic," tow truck driver arrived and informed us that he had to pull the vehicle to over an hour in the wrong direction. After doing some collaborative mechanic work, taking an additional two hours, we were back on the road. The vehicle was rented out 2.5 quarts of oil low and running on little to no power steering fluid! It's amazing we didn't lose brakes given they are part of the power steering unit!!!!

I caution anyone about renting from uhaul at this location!
