Considering the number of great reviews, I was really disappointed with how bad my food was. It came out about 5 minutes after we ordered, which is never a great sign. The scallion pancake was lukewarm, soggy, oily and under seasoned. I eat everything and left half of it on the plate. The eggs and sauce were likewise under seasoned. I'm never even on yelp anymore because everything in Portland is so good, but this place...I don't think I'll be giving it another shot.

This may be the most forgettable restaurant I've ever been to in Portland. Maybe it's better in summer? There are so many good restaurants and bars in this town--go somewhere else.

I was a patron at the old Taco Diablo before it burned down, and so decided to check out Taco Diablo 2.0.

The tacos were quite good. The margaritas were also good, though we got them after the tacos came out. But the service. I don't think I've ever been frightened by a waiter or waitress before--until today. Our server was Jessica. She spoke to us in a monotone and seemed robotic, or like she wanted to murder us when our backs were turned. Maybe she was just having a bad day, or maybe she didn't want to be working on Christmas Eve. But it's customer service, people; put on a smile and don't kill the vibe in the restaurant. Even when the tacos are tasty, service like that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Damn this place is classy! How did it end up in Arlington Heights? Everything is minimalistic and bright. The cashier (owner?) was very friendly. I got a lychee freeze drink with frozen boba at the bottom--top notch. Haven't tried the coffee yet but you can't go wrong with Stumptown. Really hope this place survives in the suburban backwater that is the NW suburbs.

Overhyped garbage. Service: garbage, even though it was a small place. Food took 45 min to come out and when it did, it was on par with Trader Joe's frozen appetizers (actually, on second thought, Trader Joe's does it better). Even the drinks were hit or miss. My drink (snow blossom) had zero alcohol and tasted like pink lemonade. Fire extinguishers were good. But not sure where the stars came from...they certainly don't deserve it. Ugh.
