Kings island and every other chinese restaurant out here suck. This is more authentic chinese than those places and this is fast food. You can feed 4 people each getting 3 entrees rice and noodles with drinks for 40 bucks. I think that cheaper by at least half than kings island. Anyway its fast food for a cheap price its fresh and taste better than most places out here.

Where do i begin? My family and I moved here from california 5 years ago. We had been to all the "high end" restaurants in the area and it was a hit or miss with some that were so poorly managed that i wouldnt go back for free. Today was my wifes birthday so we finally decided to go try out Shoemakers. Immediately the setting was comfortable, quiet, and extremely clean. The food from start to finish was far more superior to anything else we have had in the area. All the flavors were a 100% spot on. The steaks were cooked exactly how we asked for them medium-rare and medium. The most important thing is they were seasoned properly. I dont know why its so hard for other places to salt a steak properly. The appetizers which were oysters and garlic lime shrimp were amazing. None of the seafood was overcooked and the oysters would just melt in your mouth. The only thing that i would change if i had to nitpick would be that the seafood chowder was a thicker consistency but thats just my preference, the flavor was still amazing with plenty of seafood. The manager you could also tell cared about the way the restaurant was run. He was assisting with waters and asking guests how everything was. Its nice to see management leading the team and not just watching from a distance. Thanks again for a great night.

(Benjamins should take notes on how to treat a customer from this restaurant)

Hours on here dont mean anything. we planned our day today starting with lunch here. They were supposed to be open at 11. We went to devils backbone instead then went to saunders for peaches and seamans for blueberry picking. when we passed by at 2 it was still not open. I tried calling at 215 and she answers and i ask are you open? She then rudely says im talking to you arent i? What do you think?.....Now im getting irritated so i get off the phone and stop in a few minutes later because i still wanna try the food that is supposed to be the best thai around. I walk in and ask to get an order of pad thai and she says itll be at least an hour there are people that ordered before you and maybe you should try calling in next time. I said well maybe next time. thanks anyway and politely walked out and i will never go back.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORIBBLE!!!! I just took visiting family to benjamins. Our server shauna was sub par. We were left waiting most of our experience. The food came out horrible. The onion rings and fries were burnt and food was cold.(mind you we waited over 35 minutes for our food on a wednesday) We had 4 adults and 2 kids ages 6 and 7. When we finally got our check an 18% gratuity was added and hand written in by our server. When i asked to speak to a manager he said it was at the servers discretion if they want to automaticallly add a tip for parties of 6 or more. That basically says if they know they are doing a horrible job they can force you to tip them. Then the manager claimed he was sorry and said he wished there was something he could do. There was alot he could of done but he has no integrity and really didnt care. I also told him about how i bring customers in there from my job from time time and he basically called me a liar by saying ive worked here for so long and have never seen you in here. I dont know who hires people like this. Anyway save your money and go somewhere good. Neighbors place has excellent food. Robin alexanders has real burgers not the garbage they serve here. If you want a real steak go to The crown or new london steakhouse. I also gave him a chance and told him i would be writing a review and he urged me to read the other reviews that were positive which are probably written mostly by employees. This manager and restaurant are a joke and i will spread the word and never go back! Oh ya on top of it we told the manager we dont feel she earned an 18% tip. The bill was 122.50 or so with tip included. We said we would give 120 and we were extremely unhappy. He then said that would be stealing insinuating we would be reported to the authorites.
