The front desk staff and Bellman/Valet personnel are very friendly. I waivered between a 3 and 4 for the hotel. A floor is dedicated as a dormitory for students. No
Big deal, but of note. City pricing is quite expensive typically. To pay over $300 for this hotel seems unmatched with the facility. Pricing in early Spring can range anywhere from high $200's to high $300's. Very outdated rooms. No mini fridge. No updated furniture, and no closet doors for a standard king. You must request cleaning of the room a day in advance. They may still forget and you have to remind them. For instance you've been gone all day and now have to wait elsewhere for them to come back by. I get the some green initiative thing, however for the price point, one would expect an automatic daily unless you opt out. Coffee needs to be refilled, water, bottles, bath towels, etc. Nice Beacon Hill Area! Not a lot of restaurants nearby. You will need to take a 15 minute easy walk, and it is actually quite a nice one. The restaurant..meh. But works.

Don't forget to check out the Boston commons park!

This location has a mice infestation that needs to be addressed. During my stay, there was a mouse in my room, and upon reviewing previous reviews, I discovered that someone else had found a mouse in their room. This is extremely unsanitary, especially given that each room had carpet and who knows how much mouse urine it is covered with, let alone mouse droppings. The city needs to inspect this place because who knows what else is going on there.

There are so many reviews on the booking.com website and on Google stating they have seen mice in their rooms. The hotel owner will reply to these comments saying they take it very seriously and that they will ensure they take fare of the situation however some of these reviews are from a week ago to over a month ago so it's obvious they haven't addressed the issue. Absolutely, do not stay here. This place needs to be reported to city officials and shut down. I can't imagine what their restaurant kitchen looks like. I feel sick to my stomach knowing I ordered room service Yuck, please take your money elsewhere. They obviously don't care about their guests.

Good location, clean room, nice amenities i.e. toiletteries, water, coffee and tea. The mattress could have been updated or newer although it was comfortable for a one night stay. I would return here again because the location is in a nice area downtown and close to the TD Garden, which was one of our venues to visit for the BeanPot hockey game.

I had a very pleasant stay here. I needed a place to sleep close to MGH. There were plenty of employees all around to make a single woman feel safe. They do have a restaurant/bar in the lobby and also offer paid parking. The room was very clean and quiet. I would recommend this hotel.

It was the little things and the BIG things that were subpar.

      The big things:
      * Construction across the street - Massachusetts General Hospital is expanding and has a large construction project across the street. They are still in the demolition phase and this will probably last at least a year, so a lot of noise.
      * Construction on the building - They were doing 'required' construction on the building facade during our visit which began at 7:00a and sounded like jack hammering above our heads.

      The little things:
      * Room was clean, but very worn. Tears in the wallpaper, rust on the light fixtures, stains in the bathtub, no channel guide for the TV.
      * Shower did not work properly, with most of the water going down the drain, unless you have an engineer (Mr. K) fiddle with it.
      * Ice machines have been removed from most floors, so my first experience at the hotel was witnessing other guests going from floor to floor trying to find a machine. It is on the 10th floor, btw.

The location is excellent and the staff were pleasant. We loved the proximity to Charles Street and it was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to be in downtown Boston (Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Boston Public Garden). Good restaurants, coffee, and Whole Foods within a few blocks. It was also just a couple blocks to the metro line (red) that goes to Cambridge.

As a Wyndham platinum rewards member, I was excited to stay here, even though I was unable to use my Wyndham points since they only allocate a few rooms for the points program which is kind of weird. So we paid out of pocket because they seemed on the lower end of nice hotels in downtown Boston.

Would not stay here again until the MGH construction is complete and if the rooms go through an upgrade. Really disappointing experience.

My family had to stay in town for surgery. We stayed two nights at this hotel and could not be happier with our overall experience. The staff was super friendly, the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the room was decent.

The valet greeted us at the door, and the front desk clerk had the biggest smile and was eager to help us check in. It was refreshing after the long drive to be treated well (seems hard to find these days).

We decided to eat at The Dean's List for the convenience and found the food, drinks, and staff to be everything I hoped for! Most definitely worth every penny. Just be careful, the drinks are very good and you may find yourself with a second or third round...LOL

The room was a basic hotel room, a little small it did what we needed it to do which was provide a bed, shower, and shelter for 2 nights. It is clean and the beds were fine to sleep on. Could the hotel use some minor refreshes, of course but show me a hotel that doesn't.

For the location and price, the service was everything I hoped for. My family will be staying here again as needed for upcoming visits to Mass Gen and Mass Eye and Ear.

We are so pleased with how our wedding turned out at the Wyndham. The view from the top floor event space is amazing. The location was great for our out of town guests. The staff were all super friendly. Our food was so delicious. Their wedding package is great deal for a hotel wedding in the city. We did not use their preferred vendor list but they were able to accommodate us. We hired a separate day of coordinator who proved to be essential. We got some great first look photos on the roof top.

Excellent location close to MGH/Charles Ave T line. Plus it is walkable to pretty much all the interesting spots in Boston.
PRO: Nice size executive room. Robes. Safe, mini fridge. Lots of room and very comfortable. Reasonably priced. Friendly Staff. LOTS of Business meeting rooms.
CON: Older property showing a little wear. I would like to see room key security badging to operate the elevator. Clean up the cigarettes butts at the entrance on Blossom!

Bottom Line: Will be back next trip to Beantown.

Breakfast was great. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, and gluten free toast were tasty. I went back for dinner. I was told that the only thing on the menu that was gluten free were the salads. This is on a holiday when there aren't many options to eat and I'm staying at the hotel. Can't even eat from the vending machine since they haven't restocked it because it's a holiday. This doesn't feel like a Wyndham. Feels like a much lower priced hotel chain. Truly disappointed.

Worst Hotel Experience. Service was very poor. it is required that you sign up for housekeeping services. Had requested housekeeping everyday and not once did I receive it. I had complained to the Front Desk (after waiting on hold for 10 minutes) and still never received housekeeping services.
The room is terrible, very old with missing tiles in the bathroom. There is no refrigerator. The pool was empty. Ice machines are only on 4th and 6th floors. The hallway smells of vomit. Lock on door was faulty and would not open, had to have maintenance open. Our room was on the 2nd floor which is on the street level so people can see directly in our room and actually walk up your window.
Keep in mind that this was not a discounted room, first night was $600 per night, then dropped to $250 per night the following 2 nights. Please avoid this hotel.
