Stopped in for a bottle of wine but unfortunately, unable to get any service. We were seated promptly yet, for some reason, utterly ignored.
We were patient and waited for quite awhile but decided to leave instead of asking for service, as I saw two other tables that were having the same issue.
We went to kush and had a great time instead. We saw one of the other tables at kush within about 10 minutes too. I understand staffing issues due to covid and all but it makes zero sense to seat people (at a table that was not even wiped) to have no service for them. Why?
It's super embarrassing to attempt to show someone my neighborhood and this is what we get.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 30, 2020Previous reviewWelcome back Winewood!!!
New concept same great service, delicious bites and fantastic wine!!
I love having this little piece of paradise back in operation in the neighborhood.
There is no speciality drink list which is always a bummer but they offer a full bar so whatever your little heart desires it, most likely, can be accommodated.Sep 29, 2020Previous reviewTHIS Winewood is CLOSED
There is a NEW listing for Winewood which is the same location and the same owners as Nomad which replaced the OG Winewood.
Confused? Lol - Jun 12, 2021
Meh. Aside from being very Instagramable and scene-y on social media it was a pretty lackluster experience and left a lot to be desired for a Friday date night. Food was pretty basic and the wine list was extremely limited for a place called WINEwood.
I came here with my boyfriend for a 7:45 l reservation and we sat outside (obviously it's the prettiest place to sit) very interesting and cute decor. The waitress came immediately and gave us QR code's from her phone, she was pretty attentive for the most part, but we had to ask for the drink menu when she came back for our orders...our appetizers came out alarmingly fast which left me thinking how fresh things were...the salmon tartare was very bland and the quac on top tasted suspiciously like the Publix kind (we buy a lot of quac at home) I must say the octopus was great, perfect portion and perfectly cooked.
Overall, it was a place I wanted to check off my list. Will probably not be back or recommend except to pop in for a basic glass of wine with friends and take photosHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 29, 2021
I believe the restaurant underwent a change recently, so this is the updated listing. I went to Winewood on a Saturday night and it was very quiet and spacious, with a beautiful and well lit patio. The service-- despite many criticisms-- was amazing. There were only two waiters that I could tell, but ours was managing at least 10 tables and doing a fantastic job. He was very attentive and kind.
The food was also good. I had the lobster ravioli and Chardonnay. While the food was tasty, I don't necessarily know if the entire experience justifies the higher than average prices.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 82179322Aug 28, 2020
2 friends and I were looking for a different place in Mimo to do happy hour, we saw this place from the car and it looked so beautiful that we had to turn back!
The decoration is very detailed and taking you to an old house!! We started drinks inside because it was too hot and then moved to the super cute outside area. Again, very pretty decorated. Perfect for a date night or a nice drinks with friends.
Wine selection was great and food was also delicious. We tried the fried calamari and the lamb chops. Service was very kind and attentive.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 11, 2021
This place is very cute and an influencer hotspot. The staff is very friendly and welcoming but just not enough, more staff needed. The outdoors is gorgeous. But so hot and humid now it's summer. There was only one fan I saw that wasn't used. Only come here when there's a breeze or outside of summer, or come sweating:) food was delicious. It's called winewood however they were out of Prosecco and pino noir so we just went for the suggestions of what they did have. I'd come back because it's friendly quiet and spacious, not like the busy places especially on the weekend, free parking (their lot is small but there's street parking I think free around the corner). Not but at all but got some working points.

I visited the place on a Saturday night. It was crowded but there were some tables available despite it was raining. Service was on point, fast and friendly. The outside area had sitting options and there was also a DJ.
The menu is short but with variety of saladas, meats and appetizers. The wine menu is pretty good. The price is a little above average and the plate's size are just right.
Nice place to go in a small group, enjoy food, music, wine and the Miami weather.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nikki G.Miami, FL33131168May 23, 2021
I was really hoping this would be my new neighborhood wine spot, but my experience was really underwhelming.
We ordered the "tabla surtida" charcuterie platter and the items on the platter looked like they were mediocre deli cut cheese and meats. The sliced cheese looked oily and the ham looked....not so great. It did not look very appetizing. For $34........I'd give it a 2/10. I'd expect a little bit more high quality cheeses and variety in meats than just sliced ham and cheese you can buy to make a sandwich at the grocery store. I left hungry because I couldn't get myself to eat it.
On the bright side - The outside of this place + the overall decor is really pretty with the whole boho vibe with string lights and lots of plants. Our server was also very friendly.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 7, 2021
My review is on the look of the place from the outside. What a gorgeous looking cute boho chic little house that is now a restaurant. It has an old worldie charm to it, with a cute garden/patio area, and a car park behind (win win, especially for the Mimo area) . This is now on my Yelp list of places to go to, once the pandemic is over. The smells coming from the places were oh so goooooood!!! It is located almost next door to the historical Vagabond Motel I would imagine anyone staying there will surely dine here during their stay!

Winewood was SO GOOD! It's such a shame that it's changed so much. I hadn't realized before visiting this past Saturday that the restaurant had switched names to something else and then back to Winewood some time after. It wasn't until I looked down at the menu that I realized it was completely different. My friend and I made our reservation just minutes before we arrived and were seated within seconds. The outside patio is really nicely decorated with good music playing.
That's sort of where the pleasantries ended. The service was spotty, at best. It seemed our server kept disappearing. Thankfully, we weren't in a rush and were just happy to be out. But, I can see how someone else might have been very peeved with the lack of attentiveness. We ordered a bottle of the HD Malbec, which was great. For our appetizers, we ordered the GRILLED OCTOPUS but received the POLPI ALLA LUCIANA instead, which was gross. We also ordered the CAPRESE SALAD which was nothing to write home about, at all. For our entree with shared the PICAHNA A LA CHAPA which is supposed to come with grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes. The dish arrived to our table with mashed potatoes a few pieces of lettuce and no grilled vegetables. I didn't even bother complaining about the potatoes, but did ask about the vegetables. The server came back with a bowl of barely-cooked or seasoned brussels sprouts. I couldn't believe it. The meat itself was a bit dry and mostly tasteless. For dessert, we had the cannoli which weren't half bad.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend anyone visit Winewood unless they go back to their original menu and rethink their priorities.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Jan 18, 2018Previous reviewIt seems Argentina is the theme this week as Tuesday night was my second visit to an Argentinian restaurant in less than three days! My friend and I went to see Cirque du Soleil's Volta, and on the way back to civilization we were in desperate search of a restaurant that was still open and serving food at 10:30 PM. While looking on Yelp, we realized most restaurants in the area closed at 11 PM. We didn't want to rush into a place at the 11th hour and make the staff wait around for us, so we chose Winewood since it closes late. When we called to confirm they were open late, we were told the chicken would close around 11:30 PM that night.
We arrived right around 10:30 PM, exhausted and famished. We were seated immediately and ordered two empanadas. One spinach, one beef. The spinach one was good, the beef was very good. We studied the menu for eons, and although we were sure we wanted to order the Vegetales de la Casa, we were torn between chicken or beef. We asked the server if they would tailor-make a platter for us of just chicken and skirt steak. Essentially, the Tabla Criolla subbing chicken for the Argentinian sausage, blood sausage, sweetbreads, and beef empanada. The kitchen readily agreed, and minutes later our food arrived. The vegetable platter was ENORMOUS and delicious. It was the crown jewel of our meal. The chicken and skirt steak were also delicious, and the portions were very generous. I'd been tempted to get sweet potato fries as well, but when I asked the server if it would be too much food he confirmed it would be. We appreciated the honesty, because even though we stuffed our faces, there was plenty left over for lunch the next day (for us both).
Not only was the food delicious, but the service was excellent. I would not hesitate to go back to Winewood. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for?! - Ira V.San Francisco, CA4071Sep 8, 2020
Love this new neighborhood spot, very quaint atmosphere! So romantic, great for a first date or just a night out!
Food was great and so was staff! Definitely coming back here! Also a huge plus, especially for Miami, it has a free parking lot in the back for costumers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
