Still love this store! It's become my regular grocery store for everything due to convenience and quality.
I also see that WF started a delivery service! I can't wait until it's available!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 18, 2011Previous reviewSmall store, but great quality. Parking is a little better now that the CVS moved to their new location, but the lot isn't that big.
They have a great fish and meat selection and the quality is SOO much better than other WFs', plus the people are definitely more friendly and helpful.
I love their lobster bisque and their produce is always fresh and beautiful. Their prepared foods are pretty good too, although, I tried their sushi once and the tuna was fatty, maybe I got a bad one. - Anrana S.Wayland, MA8812807255Sep 15, 2016
One of the smaller whole foods locations. The prepared foods are great and the fresh produce is beautiful. The bakery is smaller than most, and the selection is limited. It seems like they keep shrinking the bakery at this location.

This is a very nice supermarket, even as far as Whole Foods go. The parking is ample, as it is in a large strip mall located off of the "oh, so THAT's where this road is" Boston Post Road.
The staff is friendly, the vegetables are fresh, and the selections in the meat and seafood cases are very good. It's my new go-to location for any emergency midday food pick-ups.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Don M.Sudbury, MA062Aug 28, 2015
I bought some stir fry veggies in a container and they hadn't bothered to cut the stems off of the pea pods, let alone remove the string. We just couldn't chew them. I've decided not to buy any of their homemade foods any more. I have had similar experiences with their granola (too hard or too sticky) and their hummus (bland or just somehow bad tasting). I prefer the third party foods that wf has chosen to stock. Those at least have been reviewed by someone. The in-house stuff just gets put out no matter what.
I would add photos but i hear yelp charges a dollar a picHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Seth D.South Deerfield, MA2325Jun 16, 2011
The store itself deserves three stars. Other WFM produce departments in the area have Wayland beat in terms of quality, selection, and price, but beyond that, this store has a good selection of natural foods and the frozen organic sh*t that the wife and I love.
Wayland loses one star for the inconsiderate clientele who think nothing of blocking an entire aisle to chat with the neighbors or letting little Jayden drive the cart, and who generally make the shopping experience more annoying than it should be. Narrow aisles and suburban creeps with no shopping agenda can be a bad combination.
Yet I continue to shop here, because it is the closest Whole Foods to my home and I need organic cashews and gluten-free crackers on a weekly basis. Maybe I have become what I hate. At least I don't drive an SUV.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Tiffany D.Manhattan, NY81434554Sep 16, 2008
This is my least favorite Whole Foods. So four stars instead of five BECAUSE 1. It's tiny 2. Everytime I come here the baggers bag ALL of the heavy items (all the drinks, etc..) in ONE bag and expect me to be able to not break the bag carrying it. 3. They're BAD at bagging, my items are always tilted, squished, squashed (and like I said, under tons of bottles)
I know it may seem like a tiny deal to take away a star but it DRIVES ME CRAZY. Also their pastry selection is smaller so HEE HEE, me being a HUUUUGE sweet tooth, I can't always guaranteed find what I want/crave.
BUT, BIGGEST two redeeming qualities... they have a HUGE wine/beer selection (unlike the one in Framingham which is my favorite one!!! Bedford is my second favorite btw) and their ROAST DUCK (when they have it) is to DIE for!!! I come here simply to cross my fingers and hope they have duck!!! Also, I come here when it's inconvinient to go all the way to Framingham.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jessie C.Wayland, MA127671102May 31, 2013
Its interesting reading the reviews of this Whole Foods because I actually enjoy this one much more than the Fresh Pond one which I've been going to for years. I like that it's smaller, but I don't do my main food shopping at Whole Foods in general. I come for specific items when I have a few extra bucks in my pocket to spend.
This review is based on the quality of the prepared foods... since that is my primary reason for entering this shop. Their prepared foods are way better than the Fresh Pond one - way way better. There is actually some sort of spice given to these foods! Seasoning! They aren't bland! Its great!
I haven't had any experience of note with the check out staff either - negative or positive. Just normal.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joyce K.Waltham, MA5926599Jul 1, 2006First to Review
This smaller scale Whole Foods has everything I need. I don't buy produce here because while very fresh, it's far too expensive. I hit up A. Russo's in Watertown instead. Any protein, I get here. The halibut is amazing and I was also pretty impressed with the swordfish. My friend lives off their rotisserie chicken and I love their amazing selection of non-dairy milk. Soy milk takes on new levels on these shelves. They also have a huge selection of ice cream with wonderfully diverse flavors, some made with real flowers.
The best part? Genji! The sushi they carry here is among the best I've ever tried in my life! They make it with brown rice so already it's hard to compare with regular sushi but the tuna avocado rolls are insanely scumptious! Nigiri with brown rice? Um Hi! The staff is amazingly helpful and courteous here. Not your ordinary grocer's help.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Henry D.Concord, MA299Nov 21, 2016
There's a dude in the meat dept who serves customers with his bare hands. No gloves, no plastic. It's not sanitary.

I go there mainly for the beauty/personal care and cleaning items. They have a huge beauty and personal care aisle. I could spend a small fortune in that aisle alone! The staff there is very friendly and every time I go, they ask if I need assistance.
That said, I do not do my regular shopping there, but to get "natural" more Earth-friendly stuff I can't get in the regular chain grocers.
One thing that irks me is the location; turning left onto Rte 20 W is a nightmare esp. during rush hour traffic (it's on my way home from work). The parking lot is also strangely marked off and when there is snow, it's hard to find a parking spot.
But, that said, I'll go to get my natural creams, toothpaste, vitamins and even drain cleaner!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
