Came here for their very first Sparkling Sunday Brunch the day after Halloween :] Love the decor, the staff was great.. and did I mention they have a DIY BLOODY MARY CART? My boyfriend, his brother and I polished off the Shrimp&Frits (my ABSOLUTE FAV of the bunch), Biscuits&Gravy, Cuban Croque Madame,  Fig/Pear Crepes (such an awesome combo - kudos), Huevos Inferno (with deliciousssss grilled garlic bread to dip!!!) and Fried Chicken & Waffles (you have not had fried chicken unless you've had it with waffles... and their delicious honey butter!!!) We could've easily added on the burger, maybe french toast... or crab cakes, but we decided to be good and save it for next time :]

Ended up coming here last minute with some great people. The six of us were coming from an event that had a lot of wine but very very very little finger food. All of us were starved so we ended up at Ba-Ba-Reeba. We ordered, seriously, like half the menu. Octopus, spicy potatoes, mixed plates... a ton of desserts... the spread was pretty good... I wouldn't call it the best tapas I've ever had (and oh do I love tapas) but the company and the surroundings def upped it :] And the sangria was pretty tasty - I love it when they leave in chunks of fruit, wish there was more tho - (I loved the white) Our waitress was super nice and we had a great time just chatting and dining the whole night. It's def a fun place to go to if you're into sharing small plates and trying a ton of different things!

Wow! Not even sure how to begin. I came here this past weekend.. the boyfriend spoiled me by bringing me to the Foie Gras week and we both split the 11 dish foie flight.. the night began with a yummy warm popover... then we started with the Seafood Maison, then followed it by the Kobe Beef Sashimi (amazingly melt in your mouth!) and then the foie dishes.... part way thru, the boyfriend got steak envy so we ordered a 55 day aged 20oz bone in ribeye to split (which came with yummy asiago truffle fries) and ended the night with a yummy rhubarb pineapple crisp.. the whole meal was paired with delicious wines suggested by them :]

Amazing food, amazing service :] LOOOOVE it!!!

The food court is pretty tasty but I'm terrified of this place. I went there for the first time over the weekend and had a huge case of claustrophobia. Food and people everywhere. SOOOOOOOOOOOO asian. Hahaha.. Parking SUCKS BUTT. So get dropped off and have someone pick you up. Asian people can be so rude, I got hit so many times by people rushing about grabbing food and stuff. Their bakery is so tasty :] Get the buns when they're hot out of the oven! They go FAST! And all the Kimgchi Jigae & Jajangmyeon in the food court makes me drool... does anyone know if they have Seolleongtang here?!?!?

btw, PROPS to the hello kitty store inside :D & BAGGGGGGGGGS of kimchi and plastic containers of kbbq? HEAVEN!

It was pretty good but ridiculously pricey for what we got.  The service is really really slow, we were the first ones and only ones there until the end of our dinner but the food came out soooo slow. I ordered ume ceviche (it was really good, but the octopus could've been more tender.. the cuts were huge but really hard to chew up or take bites from.. stuffing the entire piece into your mouth isn't too classy) & the kanpachi (hamachi) which was DELICIOUS. it had tons of scallions on top.. and even my partner in crime (who doesn't like raw fish) ate it!

I also ordered sashimi. Hamachi, Salmon, Scallop & Tuna. Classics. The hamachi was really dark (I don't remember the coloring being that way) but really really thick cut. The scallop was really dry.. which is strange, I've always had silkier scallops, but they were good.

My fellow japanese food lover got a spider roll & a crazy roll (lover of the fried foods) I didn't try any but she raved about how amazing they were!

We left with more than 100$ out of our pockets, happy from a yummy meal, but I was still starving...

I wanted to like it here I really did, but the food was alright. We wandered here when we were looking for a place to grab a quick bite in Lincoln Park area. We were hoping to grab lunch but we didn't know it was only open for dinner but they have a little sandwich/salad/cafe attached. So we ordered at the counter and got to sit in the dining area in the restaurant. How did simple sandwiches and scooping some salad into a plate for us take SOOOO long?!?!?! We ordered 3 sandwiches (a smoked salmon, a roast beef, and a manchego & serrano ham) they were small and while they weren't bad, they were just.. well... cold sandwiches... the roast beef was most filling... and the manchego/ham was tasty.. the salmon lacked more oomph and filling, but it was, well.. you can't go wrong with smoked salmon right?!.. and then the artichoke salad was alright. It had some red pepper and almonds in it, boyfriend seemed to find it good but you can't really eat it in big doses.  The tea I got was warm and warmed me up (so did it's job) but had a funny smell/taste to it, almost plasticky... and the apple pie was warmed for us but I wish the crust/shell was crisper.. it was kind of soggy. Sadly I doubt I'll come here again.. but the decor and everything is very snazzy. I hope the dinners are better...

Can I just say I absolutely LOVE this place?! Boyfriend & I have gone here... 2 more times for dinner and 1 more time for brunch. DELISH! DELISH! DELISH! The portions are perfectly sized and you can't eat just one thing... we order 2 apps, 1 large sunshine salad (best salad!!!) & 2 entrees to share :] They had a chocolate bread pudding once and it was one of the most decadent desserts I've ever had (my mouth is drooling now)... get the Uncommon BLT! You can never go wrong with Pork Belly ;] & their fish is soooo fresh and tasty!!! I can't get enough of this place. OH and if you're there for brunch, you can't go wrong with their enchiladas dish with fried eggs (not heavy at all) or a french toast!!! Don't forget to get a chai latte with it ;]

OMG this place was so delicious. I came here for brunch and I got the S'mores espresso drink and the buttermilk pancakes with their homemade pb and chocolate sauce and chantilly sauce. OMG. SOOO GOOD. The pancakes were super filling and grainy... not sure what else they added to it but it tasted thick, yummy and even slightly.. healthy tho heavy at the same time. I also shared the granola w/ dried fruits, jam and granola with the boyfriend (who got the french toast w/ rhubarb sauce) I even had a few sips of his Chai Latte (which he claims to be the best chai latte EVER... and I must say DELISHHHHH!!!!!)

But what this place REALLY gets props for is the fact that it's the FIRST place I've had goat cheese and actually enjoyed it. the goatcheese artichoke dip was ordered at the table and me, not being a fan of goat cheese, actually enjoyed the bite of the spread on some yummy crusty bread.. so thumbs up!!!!!

Anteprima

How do I even begin to explain my newly found love for Anteprima?!?!?!

I love the feel... it's very Italy-esque with the warm space.. delicious aromas in the air, friendly waiters... and fellow customers :]

I guess the owner knew we were "foodies" from all the non-typical food items we ordered...... he was super sweet and actually gave us "special" olive oil to drizzle on our food and salumi and a special something something "XX" drink afterwards. Even a complimentary truffled pecorino and poached pear.

My favs of the night were.. omg, ALL OF IT.. but if I had to choose.. the grilled octopus...  the garganelli, pancetta & tomato ragu, homemade ricotta.... (which has trotters in it) andddddddd... their pasta is cooked to perfection and so fresh and delicious. PERFECT proportions!!! (my biggest rant @ italian american places is WAY too much food... and WAY too much sauce.. here it's perfectly balanced.. it's the PASTA that's the star of the show and it's accented by the perfect amount of delicious sauce...) omg their specials are amazing. fried anchovies were amazing. THE GOAT!!!!! their yogurt/honey dessert.. oh me oh my!!!

came here with the boyfriend's family... the garlic rolls are steamy and delicious and absolutely decadent. they taste so bad for you, probably are, but are just SO GOOD FOR YOUR SOUL. taking garlic bread to a whole new level.

had the crab artichoke fondue as a starter.. and it was so delicious. i love gooey cheese.. and this was great.. not too overwhelming.. the toasts it came with were crunchy and super tasty on their own.

me + boyfriend's brother both got the kona crabs. he got it spicy chili style and i got it ginger/scallion style. his was just steamed with chili sauce on the side, but mine?! ASIAN STYLE AND SOOO PERFECTION. i was sharing it with everyone and everyone was a fan. DELISH!!!

sidenote: boyfriend's awesome dad got steak envy and actually got a piece from a neighboring customer and we all had a bite. delish! boyfriend got steak envy too.

which comes to the bad part of the night. boyfriend was NOT happy with his scallops. he got sauteed scallops but they were BREADED!!!! :[ who BREADS scallops?!?! breaded scallops in general should be an offense.. but at least fried is understandable.. but sauteed?!?!?! :[ sigh... scallop fail. but from what he says the scallops were cooked right on the inside.. just flavorless due to the breading... it didn't look too appealing to me tho, too much sauce...

the cheesecake at the end of the night was really good :]
