Back to Total Wine to pick up Chateau St Michelle Eroica Reisling which I recently enjoyed at one of our Reno local steakhouses. A nice gentleman directed to "Aisle 6" as I was not in the right place of the store. Love all of the options here at Total Wine. Love the fact that they sale local brands.

Busy on a weekday afternoon. Go figure. What goes nice on our warm Reno summers days? Perhaps a glass of bubbly or a non alcoholic brand. Total Wine has it all, including snacks!

What else can I say other than this is one of my favorite stores of all time?! The associates are always very helpful when I'm trying to find something specific, they know when something may be coming back into stock. I like that at the tasting bar they have other options available than what is on display! Before I make a purchase, I have been able to sample various spirits that are on the shelf.

Quality/Quantity -
We like coming here because we know that they usually have everything we need.
If not, a good substitute is usually available.
Weird thing is that I only come here with my daughter or for my daughter, LOL.
Today's beer run was for my daughter. She discovered her new favorite beer.
Schofferhofer German beer - And her goal is to try all the flavors.
She doesn't remember I introduced this to her like 10 years ago; and I really was wowed by it then. Too bad it only has 2.5% alcohol, too low for me.
After spending too much time here, I found a 6 pack.
In another area, I found single bottles and single cans.
Lastly, while walking out of the beer section, I discovered a 12 pack. And with new flavors!

Atmosphere -
Open 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm.
Plenty of mall parking.
Good size location, again usually has everything we need in regards to alcohol.
Wifi is available, but I have never used it.
Sampling station. Love the try before you buy policy.
No one was working the wine and beer sampling stations when I was here.

Service -
Service has always been good.
But today the team member who first checked me out got defensive/excited about their pricing.
I'm guessing that I picked a new item that was not labeled yet. The similar item, same brand and size, but different variety was much cheaper.
Good news is that the employee knew of the issue (missing the price tag).
Bad news is that it was NOT corrected prior to me arriving.
More bad news is that I saw NO effort in him trying to correct the problem after I left.
I hope he was not part of management.
I ended up buying similar other beers from a more friendly cashier.
I know better than to let one stressed out employee ruin my experience or review.

Pretty classy interior here. The selection of beers, ales, stouts and porters are off the chart. The prices are competitive and the amount of new things you find to try out from tastings that are held here make visiting here always a fun experience.

The staff are polite, fun, courteous and professional.

I am generally not much of a person who cares to shop. Coming here is one of those exceptions.

Im clueless on any alcohol, so I knew I needed to find help..

Found a salesclerk, told her what I needed and she showed me where ...

It was great because I could get the tiny bottles!

I really like going to your store because they have some good prices but the employees that work there are terrible they know nothing about anything what's the point? Why don't they just say I don't know instead of acting like they do very poor I know it's hard to find help, but really.

I had the worst experience at your store. I was shopping for margarita ingredients with my 20 year old son. Your store policy states minors are allowed in your store as long as they are accompanied by a legal guardian 21 or older. Your cashier refused to sell to ME because my minor son didn't have an ID. Help me make that make sense?! Your cashier was rude, condescending, and borderline accused me of trying to buy alcohol for minors. However as I was leaving after he told me we HAD to leave, he said we could come back if my son brought his ID. My MINOR son. I was beyond embarrassed and irate, like I'm actually going to come back?!

I will say I did get a call from one of your managers however, reading additional 1 star reviews this seems to be a consistent problem at your store. To me, there is zero point in having any conversation with a manager as I've seen complaints from other customers regarding similar situations from 6 years ago. So instead, I emailed your CEO and I'll shop at Ben's from now on. I also made sure to share my experience with over a dozen friends at our game night. They really enjoyed the margaritas I made using the ingredients the super friendly and kind manager at Ben's recommended. Oh and Ben's sold to me even though my 20 year old son was with me and they also were shocked and laughed at how incompetent your staff is stating "How hard is it to understand and enforce that policy? It's not rocket science!" But apparently for your stupid employees, it is rocket science.

I wish I lived closer to this place! Excellent selection and service...and they are open until 10pm. If you have any interest in alcoholic beverages...this is the place. My husband and I get lost just checking out new types of wine or whiskey and the labels.

I struck out (0 for 3): 1st choice Lone Star Beer (0 on hand). 2nd pick Yingling
beer (don't carry). Old Style beer (not available). The kicker was employee told me that the Texas and Chicago beer's were "piss, and total crap".
I didn't need your employee's opinion on my taste of brew.
