Worst customer service ever. Even the Manager was very unprofessional. Will never return again. Made me feel so small and almost targeted!

This TJs reminded me of one in Paramus, NJ. Both are on the second floor above a Bed Bath and Beyond. Both are large and both are disorganized.

Tons of racks of cloths, signs not all in the right places, the layout isn't intuitive and there's not much room between aisles.

It was a holiday weekend so I'll cut them a little slack.

      OK parking.

3 stars for this large chain. I default chains to 3 stars as they must be A-OK to expand as they have.

I always love at these stores that when you checkout they always ask if you found what you're looking for? Uh...I wasn't looking for anything, but I found all this...

The pet selection was great today. Found 2 new dog beds for the new puppies that will be joining our family soon. Before I left the cashier mentioned that they're a pet friendly store and to feel free to bring my dogs if they like to shop. Good to know. I wanted to tell the sheriffs in the parking lot to bring the horses for a shopping trip.

Ah... I love TJ's, Marshall's and Home Goods. This location is pretty good. The jewelry selection is excellent as is the purses and some other accessories. The beauty/hair care is great here and I can usually find large bottles of shampoo and conditioner that my husband uses on the regular. But to be frank as for home/food/candles it's either hit or miss here. I've found Ralph Lauren Candles that go for $65 a pop for $15 but it's like finding a unicorn. Let me put it to you this way certain stores have certain stock. This one is ok but you know.. if I can't find things here I go across the way to Marshals so.
Staff is pretty good as for clothes and shoes with me it's always been hit or miss. So... I give them 3.5 on stuff.. 4 for convenience and BBB is downstairs. Shared parking in the Pittsford Plaza. Give it a whirl you may find some treasures if you have a good eye. Like I said I either find stuff or no dice. Party on

This is not the best TJ Maxx. I'd have to say that the entire store can use an overhaul. Sure, it's a typical TJ Maxx and we know to expect a treasure hunt upon entering, but it has really gone downhill in recent years.

Pros include decent jewelry selection for fine jewelry. You can almost always score a great strand of pearls, sterling silver or a discounted name brand watch here. The location is also very convenient and right across the street from Marshall's which makes it easy for price comparisons. They also have a great home section.

Cons include pretty much everything else that I didn't mention. The clothing section is pretty awful, I usually just bypass it and head straight toward handbags or the home section after drooling over the jewelry. I'd have to say that I've been to much better TJ Maxx locations elsewhere and this one just falls flat in comparison. However, being that it is the closest of the two in Rochester, I will visit this one whenever I'm looking for a specific item.

Okay, with any complaints aside, I come here WAY too often to give it less than 4 stars. This is the place to save AND spend money. Much like Marshall's and your typical close-out bargain store. In order to survive it and have a successful shopping experience, you have to come with an open mind, patience and TIME.

Jewelry - worth checking out if you are into Betsey Johnson and Swarovski since it seems to be their regulars. I once saw some lab created black diamond earrings on display and I KICKED myself for not getting them.

Accessories - I knit my own scarves and gloves. But I can't make a pashmina! They have a really good selection of pashminas, light scarfs and cover ups for less than $20.

Beauty - DISCOUNT HAIR SPRAY! I am a brand shopper when it comes to hair. You can catch some serious bargains on Big Sexy hair, TIGI , BioSilk and more. Good selection of beauty soaps. Only problem is that once you fall in love with one it may never be back :-( So stock up immediately! I have sensitive skin so I come here first. Face cream is too damn expensive. I've scored Argan Oil, Korres & Elizabeth Arden. Korres rose FTW!

Misses and Juniors - I like to browse both and get different sizes to try. These are close-out items and some may be irregulars or factory rejects of many brands, so be practical when choosing a size. You may even be a size up or two down.

Shoes - is kind of lacking for MY taste and does not include men's or children's. I have better luck at Marshall's. They have a bigger department and a more organized outlay.

Purses - I can not have nice things and it is the reason I do not break the bank for shoes or bags. None have been worth it for me. That being said, I am safe here. I've scored some cool enough pieces for what I am willing to spend.

Kitchen & Home - so much to choose from! I particularly squeal at the clearance items. My friends always ask me where I get all the quirky tools from. Specially the knives and cutting boards I bring camping! If you like Fred & Friends products on a discounted price, come here.

I've shopped every department. Even bought toys here! So if you are shopping for a gift, baby shower, bridal shower, home warming or even a christening, check them out!

I came here on a day that I was bored and wanted to look around and not sit on the couch at home.

I do not normally like stores like this because I do not like to 'look' for items. I just want everything laid out nicely on a table for me and if I need a different size, I want it to be there.

However, when looking at the items that aren't clothing, I generally enjoy it. They have lots of nice stuff for the house and for a good price.

It is pretty cool that you can get a designer bag for super cheap. It is great to have nice good quality stuff without the hefty price tag.

The line to cash out can get long but generally goes quickly and the last time I came and bought something the staff in the front was super nice.

This location is upstairs so you will most likely have to take the elevator if you would like to buy something large, other than that there is an escalator.

I challenge you to walk the entire store and leave without buying one thing, I bet you can't!

Tj maxx is the place! The place to go when you need a cute new outfit, wardrobe and who knows, something completely random that you will not only fall in love with the item... But also the price! The prices don't get better than tj maxx, which is why it is so hard to leave empty handed!

I have come in looking for one thing, and ended up leaving with 9 others oh so many times. It is a gold mine/ death trap at the same time. You find the coolest things, for great prices, but then you find 10 more things too. Which is great! But not always for the wallet that was expecting to purchase one thing ;)

      First to Review

Ghetto store. Fixtures that were older than me, staff that used every slang phrase possible, and dust everywhere.

But I still managed to purchase a ton of thongs and undergarments that were cute, comfy and less than $2 a piece. Also they had some decent, designer bags, but you gotta look for them, they are in the back of the racks behind the cheap bags.

Also got a cute set of shorts and polo shirt for a baby boy at $12.

      Yes.
