Sprout Home's unique aesthetic is a striking contrast to conventional home and garden centers. Sprout believes that a modern aesthetic can exist both indoors and in the garden. Sprout's focus is on bringing nature into the urban home and moving good design outside. In their store, Sprout offers unique indoor plants, contemporary products to enhance interior living. In fall 2010, Sprout expanded two doors down with a dedicated space for fresh cut flowers, floral and garden design. In their backyard garden, Sprout offers a range of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs and organic herbs as well as soil, mulch and compost. Design services include contemporary garden design for rooftops, decks and yards, interior plant design for the home and commercial spaces, and floral design for all occasions. Delivery is available.

Stopped in for a flower crown and left with a broken heart. After years of visiting Sprout, I am told they will be closing, for good, the end of October. Like so many other businesses, COVID has surely ruined this BK gem. To the lovely owner of Sprout (Chicago)- peace, love and well wishes for the future of Sprout.

Have I just stepped into a green thumbs wet dream?
If you can't find your next plant pet here, then you're out of luck. Sprout home is my go to recommendation for any plant enthusiast or first time plant pet owner.
They have every type of plant you can possibly imagine to elevate your apartment. There's even an entire section where you can build your own dried flower arrangement.
I must say, this type of elegance comes with a price. These aren't your average bodega plants. But at least they're not the most outrageously priced in the city.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Angela L.New York, NY311131092Jan 10, 2020
So cute!!!! Smells so great! Great assortment and display of plants, ceramics, rocks, and candles. Perfect place for gifts. Right in Williamsburg, so convenient for a stroll or cafe before or after getting your plant fix. Terrarium classes available too!
SERVICE
Friendly helpful workers, they can even help repot your plant for a small feeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sepideh Z.Atlanta, GA259106242Apr 3, 2019
This little plant shop is the cutest thing and we need more of these all over the US! I haven't found a small shop exclusively for plants since coming upon this one.
It has bigger plants like fiddle leaf fig, Chinese fan palm, yucca cane while also having the staple plants such as various ferns, succulents, snake plants, zz plants, and so so many more. It also has loads of beautiful flowers that you can make a bouquet with.
I wish I lived here so I could buy these plants so I highly recommend if you live in Williamsburg and are looking for a specific type of plant or just house plants in general!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yatou Z.Brooklyn, NY01930Mar 30, 2018
I wasn't going to post this on yelp initially. But I have asked two other popular plant stores in Brooklyn, and they both said they don't sell cactus with no roots. So I feel that I should let people know that some of the cacti in their store are sold without roots.
I think it's not unreasonable that they asked me to bring the plant back for store credit. But I didn't want to get a Lyft and spend all that time for the hassle. I simply won't buy plants from them anymore. Something like this is hard to justify the overpricing.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 4, 2019
Beautiful plant & flower shop in the midst of Williamsburg. I love what they've done with the space. Staff is super helpful with suggestions (and are honest, which is a major thumbs up). Prices aren't too bad either. Plus, they offer classes for your plant needs! :)

Customer service is terrible
They have a lot of variety , but no one is willing to help out customers -- very involved in their own conversationsHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alanna W.Rochester, NY683514Aug 21, 2019
Visited for the first time today and really loved it. It's a beautiful space. They have a good selection of cacti and succulents, and small to large houseplants. They also have awesome plant accessories--hanging planters, a range of gorgeous pots and planters ranging in size and price, and terrariums.
It looks like they also have classes. I'm not local to the area but if I were, I'd take all the classes! Can't wait to go back when I'm next in the city.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Annabelle V.Brooklyn, NY277155321Oct 27, 2017
Did you just move to Williamsburg? Do you love overpriced, Instagram friendly shops? If so, please come here and spend $50 on a tiny little money plant or $7 on a succulent the size of your thumb.
Keeping it 100: this shop is stunning. The displays are beautiful, plants are well taken care of, and the pots are lovely. However, you can get the same plants at Home Depot for a third of the price. Go buy a pot from a local artisan market instead.
Bottom line: stop in to take a look after getting coffee at Devocion, but probably don't buy unless you've got generous disposable income.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 12, 2014
You, too, can have a green thumb in Brooklyn!
Browsing around South Williamsburg, I was really surprised to walk into Sprout Home and find a plant shop. And it's wonderful in every way. I could literally linger in Sprout Home for an hour or two planning my imaginary garden in my imaginary backyard. The options are endless and the selection has everything covered.
What's nice is that Sprout Home doesn't just cater to small apartment living. It's really a nursery for anyone who loves plants and flowers, design, and adding flora to the home. You can get small plants, large plants, planters, fruit plants, potted flowers, planters, soil, gizmos, and gadgets galore. I was particularly ecstatic to find a few terrariums and tiny plants and tiny figurines to decorate my terrarium. I picked my plant for a mere three dollars and fifty cents. I would have gotten a succulent too but those require direct sunlight and there's not much of that in my apartment.
The walk through the backyard is a bit of a treat. It's like walking through a botanical garden. Lots to see and smell. Just be wary and leave alone the giant bees. They've got pollinating to do and can't be bothered.
Don't forget to check out the cute dish towels by the door. I almost bought one but was not in the mood to splurge. Sprout Home is really a great shop. I'll be sure to make a return visit when I'm in the area.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
