Q:
Good Morning, I have yet to go your wonderful store but wanted to know when are Panetonne available, if you could provide specific dates they are shipped to your store and what brands? Thank you :)
A:
We have our panettone in now! We received them at the end of October directly from Italy. We work almost exclusively with Loison and have many varieties from them. We also carry some from Fabbri.

I was referred to this spot by a friend of mine who swears by everything that they have. She took me one day and things I didn't know about this spot is that it's authentic Italian food so there's a deli part where they have hot food and then there is the deli sandwich part where they make sandwiches and then there's the whole market that's got like anything that you need Italian based, and the wine selection is impeccable.
I don't remember the name of the gentleman who made my sandwich, but he was funny personable and made me one of the best Italian meat sandwiches I've ever had and there's the sauce that you can dip it in. It's delicious. I ended up picking Wine up which I thought was a really good rosé
The place gives warm vibes. I'm here for it.Helpful 14Thanks 2Love this 12Oh no 2 - Jan 24, 2024
Okay, first of all, this place just feels kind of nostalgic if you grew up in the 80s. It has that cramped, old-school market feeling to it, and the employees seem like maybe they've been there for decades. They were so warm and friendly, and make their customers feel like they're part of the Sorrento market family.
The sandwich prices were astoundingly reasonable for a really hearty portion. I got a turkey and salami sub. Was it the best sandwich I've ever eaten? No. But I did enjoy it and would go back for another. Maybe try the meatball sub next time. They also have a nice selection of yummy butter cookies, so don't miss that.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Dec 31, 2023
I've been coming here since the 1980's with my Dad and the family. I love, love, love their Salami sandwiches and the rest of the family loved the Meatball Sandwiches! We love grabbing our sandwiches and go eat at the nearby park. Behind the Toys R' Us.
After I had my own child, I started bringing him here too and I told him that since I was a young girl I enjoyed coming here with my family and how this was my favorite Italian market.
Now my son is an adult and he goes on his own to eat the delicious Italian sandwiches.
The market has a lot of Italian items like wine, cookies, soft drinks, prepared food and so much more!!
I always feel nostalgic when I come back to this market. I need to come back soon!! Thank you Sorrento's for the great memories!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 31, 2024
Delicious sandwich! This is my boyfriends moms childhood sub place and she recommended this was good. Prices are affordable and inside you can get all the Italian goods/ingredients. Tried the combination sandwich and really enjoyed the sauce inside (mayo, mustard, and tomato sauce) the deli meats were fresh.

We finally got a chance to stop during one of our trips to Culver City and we are definitely glad we did! We got parking in the back. I do use a cane so walking through some of the store was a little more challenging because the isles are not super wide, and there are a lot of products on the shelves that I was worried about bumping although I really had plenty of room. Also, the floors had mats everywhere so I did have to watch my step but again it was fine and would not bother most people at all. It's just something I have to live with, so I do notice things like that. It definitely will not deter me from coming back. They had a really good selection of Italian packaged sauces, pastas, cookies, Olives, jams, coffee, and just about anything else you might want. But the big draw for us was the deli section. We got a hot beef and pepper sandwich, hot meatball sandwich, and a cold combination sandwich, along with some pasta and some miniature cannoli. I was planning to look at the sides a little more closely, but we got there right before the lunch rush and there was a long line forming in the deli line so I didn't feel like I should hold up the line. They had a lot of really nice looking cookies as well in the bakery section and I will have to get some of those next time for sure. Since it was a wet windy day we drove up the hill to a scenic spot to eat lunch. The large sandwich was very large could not eat it all even though I was starving. Everything was very good. I absolutely loved the pasta and the cannoli. Everyone working there was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be stopping again on our next trip and have recommended this place to everyone.

Terrible customer service , walked in and was not greeted it was my first time there so I asked where I could order a sandwich the guy in the front got an attitude . They sent me to the back where I ordered a sandwich from a rude old man . Not my fault he's 5 feet tall and mad at life. White couple walked in after me and was greeted. They were also first time customers , The racist little hobbit had plenty of smiles and conversation for them . Sandwich was mid at best , do yourself a favor and take the drive to Bay Cities .

Sorrento is the real deal. My first stop after landing at LAX (except Monday or Tuesday)! Great sandwiches and snacks and authentic Italian treats. Staff is really helpful and friendly, too.

Ambiance: it's a mixed grocery and deli market place, they sell a lot of food and wine imported from Italy
Service: super friendly and welcoming, patient with questions, efficiently packing the food
Food: simple menu from the deli counter
LARGE PASTRAMI HOT SANDWICH - **** very tasty meat, recommend
SORRENTO SPECIAL - **** ONE PASTA WITH MEATBALLS, GARDEN SALAD AND ROLL, meatball was tasty, pasta a bit overcooked, still would recommend

TIRAMISU, sweet desserts, recommend

Great local Italian market with all the staples - 00 flour, guanciale, nduja, etc. also amazing and varied selection of regional Italian wines. Sandwiches are solid and have never tried their prepared foods but those look good as well. Always a treat to pay this place a visit!
