What a great place. Small, stylish, chill despite the craziness happening outside... My therapist--Christina--was amazing. She really listened to what I wanted to achieve during the session and had an amazingly therapeutic touch. I will definitely go back!

Holy most expensive car wash ever!! I was lured in by the promise of a $5 wash, wax, vacuum on weekdays between 8am-11am only to find that the $5 wash is driving through a machine wash with brushes (a no-no for cars like mine). So then I asked what their cheapest hand wash would be, and was told $24.99. After repairing the hinge on my dropped jaw, I asked if there was anything even cheaper. He told me he would give me a $3 discount. Needless to say, I left.

This place was so average that i'm having trouble understanding the great reviews.  We had drink and dinner, but no dessert.  Maybe that's where we went wrong.  Maybe this place is just all about dessert.  I didn't even think the waffle fries (which everyone seems to be raving about) were all that great.

What we liked: the rooms are huge, the beds comfortable, nice patio, inexpensive breakfast room service options, having a full kitchen was nice, the 2 person jacuzzi tub was awesome, the rooms were quiet, the hotel was smoke free, and for an off-the-Strip location, it was pretty centrally located, it's dog friendly, and the staff was very nice.

What we didn't love: no self-park option (though valet was free, it grew
to be a pain), no grass for the dogs--there was just a small, nasty patch of astroturf, and no free wifi in the rooms, although it was nice to have a $2.99 option for 2 hours of use. Also, the housekeeping wasn't great and they didn't restock any soaps or lotions, which I guess is eco-friendly, but it was kind of annoying when there wasn't enough soap to go around (shower, tub, sinks...)

Where we were ambivalent: The pool--it was nice, pretty quiet, but small and really really really warm!

Nice homey atmosphere; bread was fresh, flavorful, warm and fluffy; everything else was decent but nothing to rave about (Pollo Ravioli and Eggplant Parm). We might have been slightly happier if the prices were slightly lower.

Love love love this place! Yummy pizza (I triee the pear and gorgonzola) and awesome sangria--only $5 a glass at happy hour. We also had the flourless chocolate cake which was great. Oh, and they don't charge extra for daiya "cheese" which is a huge bonus in my book!  The only thing I wasn't crazy about--the chocolate chip cookies.  Not sure what's in them, but they tasted a bit too healthy...

I've had a lot of afternoon tea all over the world, but this is by far the most creative. The teas themselves--not spectacular. I tried the Harmony. Okay, very minty.

The highlights--beet/goat cheese macaroon, chocolate pop rocks, guacamole cone, financiers, chocolate with embedded mint leaf, and fois gras sandwich.

It's not super filling, and no scones (that discovery was a little sad) but a fantastic experience in a cool space, and pretty reasonably priced for tea.  Would definitely go back.

I really, really, really wanted to like this place.  It's super cute, in the hood, less expensive than my current fav--Mizu 212--and has lots more seating so it's easier to get a table.  But, the one thing that, at least for me, makes shabu shabu great is the sesame sauce, and this is where California Shabu Shabu fell short.  Aside from that, everything else was great, including the super friendly service. This is the worst McDonalds ever! There were only 4 cars in front of us, yet somehow it still took 15 minutes (aka three centuries in fast food).  And after all that, they still got our order wrong after we confirmed exactly what we wanted... Ugh!!  This location is a disgrace to all McDonalds worldwide.

I've always avoided Louise's because of what looked to be mediocre reviews, but I must say--we were pleasantly surprised! Is it great Italian food? No. But is it good and comforting and affordable in a way that reminded me of my midwestern childhood? Absolutely. And the best part? The huge bag of warm, yummy bread that came along with our order. (We had takeout.).
