We found this beer fest while we were waiting for our time slot to go up in the Needle, It cost $30 because we didn't know about presale lol
But we all got 10 tickets each which Justin and Bryan used most of my husbands and mine because we just didn't feel like drinking lots of beer or ciders.

There was so many to choose from and we decided on a few which really liked a red ale and pear cider and the shock to everyone I liked the Guinness coffee ( I don't like Guinness) But this was really good.

They also had Musicians, so many types of vendors I really loved the German pretzel it was huge and so good with the pear cider I was drinking. My husband also got himself some jerky, he said it was good but I wouldn't try it since I don't like venison.

Loved the little beer glasses we also got to use for the tastings.

I haven't been to a Beer fest in a long time and this was nice way to spend few hours enjoying the beautiful evening downtown Seattle.

This is my favourite beer fest in Seattle. The ability to come back all weekend with your beer glass and wristband makes it a great value. We got the "big deal" ticket package: beer glass + 30 tickets. Four ounce beer samples require 1-7 tickets, but there is a beer stand offering pints for 3 tickets (that's worth it!!!). Come out and enjoy all weekend, y'all!

I typically don't get to go to these things because of work, but it just so happened that it was going on the same week that we were in Seattle on vaca, so we figured, why the hell not?

Since it was last minute, we had to pay $30 for the tickets to get in, which got you 10 drink tickets and this cute little glass that I took home and is sitting in my kitchen as a decoration now. You walked around the place and there were literally hundreds of beers to try! I tried a blackberry cider that was sooooooo good and had I not wanted to try a bunch of other things I would have had another. There were some interesting Guinness beers there like one was french vanilla the other was espresso and they were both pretty awesome.

I tried several beers that weren't to my liking but were good beers in general. The biggest thing was it was hard to find a red ale in all the madness and there were a lot of IPA's. I'm an IPA drinker and I love them, however it's not a beer for everyone. I kind of wish there was more variety in a lot of breweries but say "la vie".

It was bad ass to get to experience this and spend a few hours chilling in downtown Seattle before we went up into the Space Needle. The park it's at had great acoustics for the live bands that were playing in the background. The only downside to it all was being stopped by the vacation planner people wanting us to sign up for stuff. I actually did end up winning a full expense paid trip to Vegas from one of them, however since I didn't live in Washington or Oregon, I wasn't eligible. (frowny face)

I really want to come back here some day in the future to experience it all again, and maybe, just maybe I will!

This was my first ever beer festival and I enjoyed it!

It cost $30 at the door and you got 10 tickets, I ended up buying an additional 10 tickets at $1 per ticket and I felt like that was almost more than enough. If I were to go again I would pre pay to get extra tickets.

There were plenty of beer options from sours to imperial porters to IPAs. You get a 4oz pour which is enough to get a good taste of a different beer. There were lots of local options as well as many unique PNW beers and beyond from the rest of the states. There are also plenty of cider options as well. If you're looking to actually talk to a brewer and find out about different beers, don't expect this because it is staffed by volunteers, many of which don't know much, if anything about the beer they're pouring.

The international beer selection was pretty disappointing. I didn't realize it was basically bottles only, many of which you can find at a bottle shop or even Total Wine & More. I guess it can be a good way to sample a beer before going out and buying it.

As far as tickets go there were many 1 and 2 ticket options that were really good. There are also quite a few food truck options too. Overall, it was a fun experience.

My first Beerfest EVER! And, I am in love with beers.

I went with my Yelp fellows, Kate S, Chris W, and Eugene C. We arrived there just shortly before the event was open on the 2nd day. There were already people lining up outside and enjoying beers inside. We tried at least 8 different of beers from different breweries. At the end of the end, I was definitely hammered! It's a doggie friendly event. People brought their dogs with them and enjoyed the sun and beers at the same time.

If you are considering doing this, be sure to arrive as early as possible. You not only will get a nice spot to rest, but also get some beers that might be out later.

I totally will do this again! :-)

It's probably not quite kosher for me to review SIB since I have been there on both sides of the bar now. So I won't go five stars, just on principle. But I'll lay out what I know about it both from having attended it and from schlepping out the beers, too.

This really isn't a brewer's festival. It's not a place to come ask a million questions and try to get free tips on homebrewing. It's not like a tap takeover down at your local corner place, where the brewer hangs out for the whole evening with a small crowd. What it is designed to do is put the most great beers into the most fun and entertaining environment as possible, and encourage people to try lots of new things.

This means it's great for three main kinds of beer lover--

      1. People who just want to have a good time in a beery environment. It's surprising every year how many more of these people there are. They show up and have a ball, with varying degrees of receptiveness to new styles, but always having fun.

      2. Adventurous beer fans. If you like trying new things, at SIB you will almost certainly find stuff you haven't had. I've tried literally thousands of different beers and there are always a dozen or more things every year that I have yet to taste.

      3. Well-informed beer nerds. If you know you want to try Beer X but have always hesitated because it's $20 a bottle (if not twice that much), then maybe you can try it here for a few bucks. You get a 4-oz taste of any beer you order, which is enough to decide which $30 bottle is worth buying again. Enough for two to sample, actually, given how many 10+% beers show up here. That spendy Beer X probably has 15-20 beers like it here, too. If you really have your eye on some treats like that, you can sort of imagine knocking a lot off your bar bill (in a sense) by sampling here.

      There's live music.
      Dogs are welcome.
The food trucks are usually chosen with some love for good food in mind.

All types of people pile in and savor the flavors here. Lines can be long, and the bartenders are volunteers--usually total newbs to the world of fancy beers they pour, though most have had good local craft brews many times.

This is a fun place to come hang out and catch up on your beer drinking. Hope to see you here next time.

This is the 2nd year we've been to this event now, and have been impressed with it so far. The organizers have done a great job moving everyone through, and keeping the beer stations and bathrooms down to fairly short waits.

The beer selection is solid, and they have a lot of specialty kegs being tapped throughout the day. You just have to keep an eye out for them. It's honestly just a great time in the sun - everyone is friendly, and there's live music and food stalls to keep you entertained too!

When we arrived about 3pm, it was packed inside, and the line-up outside must have had at least a hundred people or more. They had so many people outside checking ID's, getting wristbands on people, searching bags, etc, that it pretty seamless and we were in within 10-15 minutes. Entry was $30, which included a taster glass and 10 taster tickets. I didn't realize, however, that online, you could get a pack for $45, which includes your entry, a glass and 40 taster tickets! That's an amazing value, and we'll definitely be more organized and do that next year.

I went on Sunday, en route to the airport. Got there when it opened and had my pick of beers! I took a break to watch an IMAX movie at the Science Center, and when I returned, it was a little crowded but the lines were moving quickly.

EXCELLENT selection of beers! Not a bad one in the bunch. The food vendors were excellent too. The BF and I enjoyed the 2-tamale special and it was awesome.

Also had fun playing with the cats at the PUUURfect Pals tent!

I don't even drink beer (insert gasps) but I loved the beerfest! It was a lot of fun being around beer enthusiasts. The venue and weather was perfect! All our friends had fun and recommend volunteering. The earlier you volunteering, the sooner you'll get the wrist band for free admission for the week. You also get free beer tickets depending on how many shifts you work. I'd defiantly come back again!

It's so fun! A pacific north west persons dream! So many different options for beers, ciders and Sours. I'm not even a big beer person, but I found so many flavors that I loved. There's also like 8 different food stands that are all delicious!
