I had an opportunity to try the cold brewed coffee here, and hot diggety did I think I was in for a treat. The coffee was insanely strong and I couldn't believe that there wasn't any sugar or creme nearby to ease the strength off my pallette. Yeesh. The other items may seem to be a better idea. I won't be getting this cold brewed coffee again, and will opt out for a different drink next time.

Located in the Ferry Building, I expect this place to thrive despite all the options. While parking around here is impossible, you can find some in a lot slightly south east and across the street. Remember to read the signs, as they tow on the dot. I hope others get to reflect on the other drinks, as staff are helpful to provide samples before you buy. I'll be sure to ask for that next time as well.

Detox juice booth in the Ferry Building!

I like how they have a detox plan that you can follow, if you are stumped on what to order up or pondering on what to get!

Their juices are not organic, but nonetheless, still delicious to drink!

They have Greens, Citruses, Roots and Fruits as juice drinks!

It's a healthy and nutritious juicery spot!

I felt like I was at a juice bar, the guy behind the counter kept handing me samples, and asking me if I wanted more samples.

Is it possible to have too many samples? Never, I thought.

Unlike the one on Now Valley, this place has great customer service and could answer my questions when it came to shelf life, what was the most popular, and the afternotes of different juices.

I ended up buying several juices.

My co-worker had a less than stellar experience. (It's like Noe Valley all over again I thought!) She had asked for some samples, and she was told to share with me.
"Um-no," I both thought and said. I don't want my co-worker's cooties. "We are not sharing a sample from the same cup," I told the lady that was helping, or not helping rather, my co-worker.

Gross. So, my co-worker didn't buy anything.

So 4 stars for the person who helped me, and 2 stars for my poor co-worker.

      Average 3 star rating.

Pressed juicery is a chain of juice stores created in Southern California by a couple of friends who wanted a healthier alternative to what was available. It's an alternative to a clean and healthy lifestyle which is predicated on juicing in order to get the vitamins and nutrients that will last you throughout the day. This is done in order for you to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle without the pressure of dieting.

They have all kinds of juices that will allow you to figure out which ones are best for you. They have combined greens, citruses and roots juices that are combined with fruits as the basis for all their popular juices. They even have a cleansing programs, although kinda pricey, it allows you to detox and clean out you're system, all while shedding pounds. Some of their popular juices are: the green 3, the citrus 2, the strawberry apple lime ( which is my personal favorite and the strawberry Apple coconuts.

I have found that some of their coconut flavors, such as there coconut with the dates flavored juice, tends to be a little gritty and has chunks of coconut in it. Something that I'm not really a fan of because I don't like chewing on chunks while I'm drinking. But the staff there are very friendly and will give you free samples of any juice you would like to try. Which is refreshing and definitely allows you to figure out what you like before you commit to it. They also will give you a brochure on information about each juice and the nutritional content of them as well. Which comes in handy.

Because the juices are so fresh (but not organic) the shelf life for them is not very long. They only have a few days in fact (between 5-6 to be exact) so if you don't drink them within that timeframe the Juices tend to go bad. I find it a bit unfortunate because they are somewhat pricey at about $6.50 a bottle. But there still worth it non-the-less because of all the benefits they offer.

      **WARNING - TMI REVIEW**

For weeks on ends, sometimes I forget to eat greens and vegetables. When that happens, my #2's doesn't come swooping out as cleanly as I'd like it to be. It kinda flops over and hangs on tight until I can squeeze it out completely. When I say squeeze, I mean butt clinching and Vikings grunting kinda squeeze! That's when I know I need some greens in my system. To the rescue... Pressed Juicery Green bottle #3. They told me it's like drinking 5lbs of greens in a bottle. Now, who has time to eat 5lbs of greens, it'll take forever! With Pressed Juicery, you can simple down it within a few minutes. There! Done deal! Greens IN! And OUT it comes...nice and smooth with no hard work.

I haven't done a cleanse with them yet but I don't see why I wouldn't. They have better pricing than other places I've been to but these are non-organic products, hence the price difference.

      Couple of notes on their juices;
      1) Greens #3 is slightly sweet with some ginger. This is my all time fav since ginger is so soothing.
      2) Grapefruit juice - delicious and refreshing
      3) Beet juice - Yuck! Tastes and smells like toes. I just couldn't get this one down. What a waste.
      4) Almond milk - smooth with some grittiness. This one did not like my stomach, it gave me the same effects as having too much alcohol under the blazing hot sun. I had to make myself throw-up to feel better. It's not you, Almond Milk, it's me, we can never be together...ever.

Customer service is wonderful here. They let you try anything and everything in their fridge. If you buy 5 bottles, they give you a discount. They also have a frequent buyer program that gives you a free bottle after xx bottles bought. Lastly, they open early, so, I can pick up bottles here before heading off to work.

Pressed juice rocks! I'm a forever fan.

The pluses for Pressed Juicery -

1.) They're conveniently located at The Ferry Building
2.) They offer free samples of their juices so you know what you're getting before you decided to purchase them
3.) Their spiced almond milk is phenomenal (though definitely sweetened by I'm sure a plethora of dates - it is absolute heaven.) Please note that unfortunately it is also seasonal.
4.) They're more affordable than other juice spots in the area

      The drawbacks -

1.) Unlike many of the other juice spots in the city - Pressed Juicery uses plastic instead of glass bottles
2.) Their juice is not organic
3.) Their juices while delicious - definitely taste a little sweeter than many of other others.

Still - I adore the proximity of this spot to the office - and the staff at this new location are exceptionally personable and sweet. I have been craving that spiced almond milk - ever since I first tried it and intend on getting some waaaaaaaaysap

      Trust.

I've had the cool privilege of being able to go to SF a few times a month for some volunteer work. One of the perks is that I'm able to explore the FIDI on foot and go to places I may have never been able to enjoy had I not taken this opportunity. I was checking out the ferry building and hoping that Humphrey Slocombe would be open at 10am. It wasn't, so we continued our stroll. The light poured in through the glass doors as we stopped by the pressed juice stand. And my eyes were so happy to see free samples!

The two really friendly girls told us all about pressed juice. I was really impressed. (Basically it's JUST the fruit or vegetables without anything else added/they use 6lbs of fruit per 16oz bottle) I went in for a sample of the apple. It's the weirdest sensation. All the taste of an actual bite of apple... But you're drinking it! To be really honest, I wasn't too hip to the flavors of all the mixed kinds of juice. It's also a little pricey. But I definitely see the health benefits of it all. So I really wouldn't feel really guilty about buying a juice every once in a while because it's literally just the good stuff.
I got a watermelon juice that tasted like a whole watermelon (rind and all) in a bottle. It was a freaky flavor trip. (In a good way)

The most expensive non-alcoholic drinks you can buy!

Oh wait, it's not just price signaling that makes them good. It's that they make fruit-and-vegetable juices that taste amazing. As in so amazing that you might actually look forward to consuming vegetables. And after you get used to it, you'll super realize how comically sweet "healthy" fruit juices from a grocery store are.

Based on a survey of about 3 people, the one you want is Greens 2. Not too boring, not too sweet, lots of flavor - just enough celery taste to feel extra healthy. (Greens 1.5 is too tangy and Greens 1 is rather "mute.") Roots 1 is also great.

But really, half the fun is tasting them and learning for youself. Then you can feel better about spending $6.50 per bottle on the one you like.

We were 10-ish miles into a walk that began in the Bayview district and we needed nourishment to get us through the final miles.

The people working the stand were super friendly, offered us tastes of a few of the Greens that we were contemplating and one of the guys even offered to take a group photo after we made our purchase.

I opted for Greens 2 -- kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, cucumber, celery, apple, & lemon. It was just the refreshing and healthy thing I needed.

Aaaaaand then we washed down our juice with biscuits from Biscuit Bender. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/biscuit-bender-san-francisco-2#hrid:Olb0qYuCxObL1OIWtj5dZQ)

Update 1/2/14: Atleast someone at corporate is paying attn! Reached out to me & apologized for the poor customer service & send me 2 free juice cards to try it out again. Although they can't go back & change the level of service I received, this is the next best thing so thank you Pressed Juicery! I hope to be able to write a stellar review for the new Pasadena location when it opens soon.

      Mediocre juices + miserable staff = 2 stars...max

It's easy to overlook this place in the hustle & bustle that is the Ferry building. Pressed juicery is located at the very end of the building across from Sur La Table next to a donut stand.

I walked up and 2 employees were helping 1 woman waiting. She wasn't ordering a ton or anything, in fact, I think she ordered 1 juice so I'm not sure why 2 people needed to help her. Due to this, the employees didn't even acknowledge me & my friend for several minutes. Normally I would just walk away but my friend really loves fresh juice, can't find it where she lives and wanted to take some home.

Clearly seeing that we were mulling over the menu, asking various questions like "do you have a juice with "blah blah blah", they neglected to mention that they have samples. Normally if someone is asking how something tastes, what's in it, etc and you have fucking samples sitting there, you would offer to let them try it! Nope, nada.

I was clearly turned off but again, I knew my friend wanted juice so we decided to stop by on our way out since we had just got there. Thankfully when we circled back around, a different employee was working. He was slightly more friendly. He didn't offer me a sample but when I asked, he obliged to my request.

The problem with this guy was that he seemed annoyed that I asked to try a few juices (probably about 3 maybe 4). Since I could visibly see he was annoyed by my request, I shared my samples with my friend so that she didn't have to feel uncomfortable asking.

I get it that you don't want to give a billion samples to someone who's not going to buy but we were definitely buying and buying multiple. I think we walked away about 5-7 juices total (I only got 2).

Long story short, the customer service here is nonexistent and the juice is mediocre. What I did like was the spiced almond milk. THAT I would recommend but in terms of juice, I've definitely had better and more fresher tasting. Maybe SF is lacking juice places but there are plenty in LA and much better ones at that.
