After breaking 12, four inch blades, I was very tired at the end of my Jewelry class, after all I was there for 6 hours, learning to use a 4" adjustable saw to cut letters from a brass sheet. I was too tired to cook and my hands hurt, so I drove up the street look for a place to get food fast, and found Noodles & Company. Fantastic friendly service, in a very clean environment for customers and you can choose to eat there or carry out! In addition, the food taste great and is a great value. The menu is printed so you can see the calorie count and other nutritional facts, which is very helpful!
The food choices are divided into 3 type: Italian, Asian, and American. Penne Rosa is spicy with great flavor, add shrimp to make it even better. The spaghetti and meatballs have large flavorful meatball. In addition, they have 3 kinds of soup, appetizers, sandwiches, gigantic cookies and Rice Crispy treats. Noodles & Company has created a Kids Menu, which has smaller portions of some of the less spicy dishes for children, at reduce prices. They do serve beer and wine, but have a self serve soda machine with many flavors to mix and sample from.
Be sure to tell the staff if you have any food allergies, they will happily accommodate your every need.
I am giving Noodles & Company 5 stars, it is not super, expensive, fine dining, but as far as a fast food restaurant they did a great job!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Nov 4, 2007
So I made my first trip to Noodles & Company today. When I walked in the first thing that I liked about the restaurant itself was the spaciousness and openess.
The menu was interesting. There were different types of noodles and soups that all looked yummy. The confusing part menu is they offer this trio. Now when I first looked at the menu I thought it had said you could pick a noodle dish, a soup and a salad....making that a trio right? Wrong. It's actually a noodle dish OR a soup and then your choice of salad. The trio part comes in because you can choose to add chicken, shrimp or beef to your noodle or soup dish. Oookay. Not necessarily a trio but hey...it's their restaurant so...
I ordered the pan asian noodles with beef. It was actually tastier than I thought it was going to be. The beef was tender and the noodles and the sauce were very flavorful.
The downsides were that you don't get much in the way of quanitity here and they could also you an extra staff member or two to help bus the tables. The restaurant has alot of seating but we had a hard time finding a spot to sit because most of the tables that weren't taken up by patrons were taken up by dirty tableware.
All and all I'm not sure I would venture back to Noodles & Company especially with some many other options in the neighborhood to choose from but hey at least I can say I checked it out.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jul 6, 2008Updated review
I went to Noodles today with my roommate and the food was great. Everything was perfectly cooked, came out quickly without a hitch.
TIP: If you sign up for Noodle-grams (yes I'm a total nerd) you periodically get coupons, we got a 2 for 1, you can't beat dinner for 2 for under $10. Plus I ended up taking part of mine home so it'll last me 2 meals.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Jul 2, 2008Previous reviewNoodles and Co. as a chain - 4 stars

I love Noodles and Co. They have a kick ass mac and cheese. Also, I love their Indonesian Peanut Saute, call me crazy but I find it even tastier when it's on the colder side. They also have huge rice krispie treats and tasty cookies. They used to have a great Thai Caesar salad, which was nice and spicy, but for some reason it's no longer on the menu.
I've been a little disappointed by this location, once they left out part of my order, but when I called were quick to make it up to me. Another time the meals I got to take out were overcooked - there's nothing worse than burnt noodles! If I had eaten in I would have sent both dishes back. - Nov 26, 2014Updated review
After receiving a coupon from Noodles & Company, I thought I'd check out this upscale fast food restaurant. Plus, it's been awhile since I've been here.
As soon as I walked in, I had noticed the dining room has been slightly update with several communal tables and the overall appearance of the dining area.
The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had ordered the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese added Parm Chicken as a protein, a side Caesar Salad and a Chocolate Chip Cookie.
The mac & cheese/chicken was just okay. The salad was very tasty and the right size for a side salad. The cookie was delicious.
Overall, it's an okay fast food restaurant in the Lakeview area. I would return evidently.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Mar 24, 2013Previous reviewWhen this franchise of Noodles and Company originally opened several years ago, I had patronized this restaurant quite a bit. Unfortunately, I felt the service and the quality of food was just not like it was when it first opened. I had stopped patronizing this restaurant.
Just recently, I stopped in for a quick bite to eat and to give this restaurant another chance. The interior of the restaurant has not changed since it opened, still bright and airy. There are plenty of booths and various table sizes so you generally always get a seat. I noticed they have added new items to the menu board. I had ordered the Wisconsin Mac N' Cheese bowl and a fountain drink.
I found an empty table in front of the restaurant facing Broadway Avenue. Since the pasta is very easy to heat up, the meal was brought to me in a timely matter. The cheese mixture is sprinkled on top of the pasta. Once you start stirring the pasta and the cheese, it becomes very creamy and cheesy. The quality of the food was just like when the restaurant first opened.
I was happy with the service and the quality of the food again. I will return to this fast food restaurant. - Erich S.Chicago, IL655712Dec 6, 2012
Noodles and Company is a chain restaurant but quite yummy. They have won me over with their deicisious food and customer service. The staff was upfront about a mess up in kitchen that was delaying my food and even provided me a coupon for a free meal another day. I have been back a few times and truly enjoy the food.
Four stars instead of five just for the price of adding tofu to a meal. Almost three dollars for a small portion of tofu seems steep to me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Megan S.IL, IL4333947Jan 10, 2015
I've been here a couple times but I think the management changes. It's a shitshow. It was pretty dead when I arrived. It took 5 minutes to order with the deer. By deer I mean the girl taking the order looked like a deer in headlights. The manager looked like a chicken running around which his head cut off and the server guy was just lost in the dining area. I think the cook is the only sane one but received bad instructions.
I ordered penne rose gluten free no mushrooms or tomatoes and makes chicken. Side Caesar salad no croutons. What I reviewed: gluten green oven baked chicken with mushrooms and tomatoes. No salad.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Domenick D.East Hanover, NJ692044May 22, 2016
I was visiting the Chicago area for the first time and was walking past this place and saw that it was one of, if not the only place I saw on this street that had open-air seating. The front part of the building was fully open to the street with no windows or doors, it was like eating outside, but not and the sun was shining and the breeze was blowing. This attracted me to begin with.
Went into the restaurant and didn't really know what to order, but the guy at the register was friendly, advised and offered me options. This got my attention as it's rare to find good customer service. I wound up ordering the Pad Thai which was out of this world!!! I went with my friend and both of our dishes were amazing!! We were even going to return the next day for more, but wound up visiting other sections of the city. In any case, highly recommended! Amazing food, great service and relaxed atmosphere while being classy and clean!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - G R.Chicago, IL20210271575Aug 23, 2014
Okay, it's a chain, let's get that out of the way and past it. Sometimes, you want to get in, get fed, and out quick. True that can be accomplished easily at many places, however this location does it while being friendly, clean, fast and tasty.
So what's not to like? Nothing at all. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, it was delicious and was more than an ample serving that I had enough to take home to use as a starter base for our dinner, I added more veggies and chopped up another chicken breast into it and viola, dinner for two!
Happy, happy!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Adriane P.Chicago, IL4686121763Jan 8, 2013
I don't get the hype for this chain. Maybe I order wrong. "Burn her at the stake!"
I get the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese the times I've gone. I don't know if it's too salty or has too many additives but it makes me bloat like Violet in Willy Wonka.
Everyone I've been with raves about their choices so I'm giving it a 3.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Jerry M.Chicago, IL3152093Jun 11, 2007
I'm playing between 3 and 4 stars. I've been to the one in Evanston and looking forward to this Lakeview one, and can I say their Japanese Pan noodles are the yummiest?
I like the location - it's bright and airy and they had the front windows opened so it was practically outside. One of those nice places I can go to eat when I'm itching to eat out and alone.
However, what bugged me was the size of the dish - maybe the Evanston one spoiled me, because when you get a small dish there, the noodles fill the whole plate and they're extravagant with the veggies that come with it. Here, I swear it only took up half the plate, not the whole plate the way it does in Evanston. And I had 2 tiny pieces of broccoli and I saw 3 slivers of mushrooms. But it tasted really good, I was just expecting more. Maybe I shouldn't be comparing locations, but I was disappointed by this. But I'll be back!
Oh, and they are extravagant with their water glasses - they're huge! (most places give you a dixie cup for your water). So they lost a star for not filling up the plate, and they gained it back for giving me the big glass for my water!
***EDIT***
Okay, you lose one star for the snotty server. When I got my dish and asked if it had the extras I ordered, she just rolled her eyes at me and giggled. Huh? I justed asked a question that you should be able to answer without acting like you're my 13-year-old archnemsis. Grrr...Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
