Sen & crew are the best! I've been bringing my puppy to get her very dense black nails done since her very first nail trim and I love going there with her. She loves Sen so much that we can't even walk by the vets office where he does his magic without her having a fit and wanting to go in and see him! She is a very big girl, and she is overly enthusiastic, but they handle her beautifully. She has never been traumatized getting her nails done, and I'm so grateful for that!

Is "dog wizard" a real title? If so, Sen should have that emblazoned in his forehead. He has an uncanny ability to read and connect with both dogs and owners. He employs scientifically based, positive reinforcement training methodologies that get real and lasting results. He is patient and spends a great deal of time demonstrating how to shape and change behaviors -- and is great about explaining the "why" behind the "how."

We worked with Sen both before adopting our rescue German Shepherd (to puppy proof, plan the transition and routine, and identify any problematic issues around our home) and after we brought him home. We've tackled basic house manners, redirection for inappropriate behaviors, leash reactivity, positive dog introductions, recall, inappropriate chewing, crate training, and much more. In all of those areas our dog has improved SO much, thanks to Sen's support.

They also offer socialization and play groups -- which our dog absolutely adores. And on top of everything else, the staff that Sen employs is absolutely top notch...and his partner Alex is also an epic animal (and human) whisperer in her own right.

Can't recommend Sen and this business highly enough!

My dog h a t e s having her nails trimmed, to the point where I'm lucky to be able to clip one and the only time anyone can reliably trim all 20 is when she's knocked out entirely. Our vet at Grand Lake Vet recommended the nail trim clinics Mister Beever hosts there once a month, and they've been able to get all of her nails trimmed twice now in only a few minutes with no problems at all. Really incredible stuff, highly recommend.

Sen and Alex are amazing! My horse lame from some unknown pasture injury, 3/5 on her hind leg. Her back was spasming and she was as favoring the leg and not bearing weight on it. Sen expertly administered a magnawave treatment on her back and hind, and during the treatment she yawned and released, and her eyes were relaxed and she became so mellow. She was no longer spasming, and she almost fell asleep she was so relaxed. And she was right as rain the next day! I can't even tell she was ever off at all!
Sen and Alex are highly recommended in my book. My mare is spooky and untrustworthy, being a feral mustang, and Sen is SO GOOD with her! He always makes her feel good, and she makes a beeline straight for him, when she spies him coming to her. She doesn't even do that for me!

We've now been using Sen and Alex for seven years and I have to tell you we are so thankful for them. You cannot get better people on the planet. My dog loves them and we love them!!!

I first reviewed Mister Beever's Paws & Claws about six years ago and felt it was time to update.

Basically, Sen and Alex - and now Carla - make life possible.

They have taken such amazing, sensitive, excellent care of my cats and been kind, responsive, and helpful to me through various pet issues. Sen and Alex have been so much more than "just" pet sitters for me and my animal family.

Carla, who works with them, now watches my girls regularly when I travel, and is amazing. She makes me feel that my cats are not just taken care of, but genuinely loved when I'm out of town. She cultivated a very sweet relationship with my aging former feral who is still somewhat skittish with most people. But she adores Carla!

Not only is the entire team at Mister Beever compassionate, knowledgeable, and beyond reliable, they continue to conduct themselves and run their business with the utmost professionalism and with excellent communications. I'm never packing for a trip worried if things are "set" for my cats. I just KNOW.

P.S. If you mention them to staff at your vet's office, the standard response is a hand to the heart, a beaming smile, and a remark along the lines of "Isn't Sen AMAZING?"

I was so lucky to discover Sen and Alex for my two dogs and two cats. I met Sen when he was working as a vet tech at the Vet Eye doctor. I went in for an eye problem my big dog was having. Sen was terrific with my terrified shaking 70lb snow dog mix. He was knowledgeable, kind, gentle, compassionate, professional.
I jokingly asked him if he did house calls and by gum he did and does!!!

Mister and Missus Beaver subsequently have been to my house many times to trim both my dogs nails, clean their ears, and little dogs anal glands... And have done at least one of my cats nails as well. Really I just adore Sen and Alex and totally trust them as well.. They are prompt and courteous and Sen is a fount of information...

I have not used them in quite awhile as I couldn't afford it for awhile. I think it was $40.00 per animal Which seems very reasonable for a house call. However I am just about to call them and make an appointment as I really cannot do as good a job as they can (plus I don't do butts-so far anyway).

The only minus and this is just me is that I wish they would do some kind of reminder call or email or text a few days before the upcoming appt as I have forgotten and the let me slide once (I think) but understandably charge full price as I recall if they show up and I'm not here..

All in all they are super five star and more!!!

This review is LOOONG overdue and I'm embarrassed that it has taken me this long to write something about the amazing team that Alex and Sen are. They've watched our Ella three times now. The first time they watched her, it was over a two week period when we were gone for our destination wedding and we were nervous about finding a good pet sitter. Thankfully we came across the Paws & Claws flier at a wine shop in the neighborhood. Sen and Alex send text messages and pictures every time they visit Ella and whenever we come home, they have a sweet card waiting for us that's handwritten and thankful for our business. I know Ella loves them as much as we do and she is always comfortable and happy whenever we come back from our trips.

I love having the peace of mind that we're leaving our cat with experienced, knowledgeable and genuinely animal loving professionals who take care of your pet while you're away.

Please please please look to them to take care of your furry family members! You won't regret it!

Wanted to update my review I wish there's a 10 star option ! Thus hire excellent staff ! I'm a neurotic cat mama and these guys put my crazy mind at ease ! 100% reliable .. I've used them many many times ... Not only do they feed the pets but they play with them , send really cute , hilarious ( in my case one of my cats is a ham) , pics too ( I save them )! They've earned all of these high recommendations from all of us happy clients here !

Sen and Alex did drop-in care of my two older kitties while I was on vacation in London this past week, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! They are professional, responsive, and friendly to the max, and my cats love them too.

They were in touch every day of my trip, sending me adorable pictures of my boys or just giving a status update through email. I came back to an apartment that was in better shape than I left it too, with fresh litter in the boxes and no sign of any of the messes I know my cats and their delicate tummies are famous for. Sen and Alex truly go above and beyond!

This was my first time using a professional cat-sitter, and it was so reassuring to know that if anything went wrong Sen (who is a vet tech!) and Alex would know exactly what to do. I would give them five more stars if I could, and I plan on calling them for all of my future trips!
