Beautiful place and delicious food!
I loved the cozy ambiance and the restaurant feels very intimate with how you have full view of the chefs in front of you. 10/10 would recommend!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 15, 2024
Loved having dinner at Manolin. It's a perfect spot for a date night. We loved trying the variety of small plates to share. Everything was delicious and the service was great! We will return to try all the new items they come up with for their updated menu as it rotates.

I recently had dinner at Manolin during vacation, and overall, it was a great experience. The impeccable presentation of the dishes struck me first. Each plate looked like a work of art, and it's evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft. We chose to sit outside, and I appreciated the nice accommodations with heaters, which kept us cozy on a chilly evening.
For the food, there were some definite highlights. The whole dorade was the star of the night, prepared to perfection. Even as someone who isn't typically a fan of mole, I was pleasantly surprised by the mole verde paired with the cilantro fresh sauce - it was a flavor explosion that truly impressed me. The ancho pork skewer and the braised ox tails were also delicious, showcasing the kitchen's skill in preparing meats.
However, there was the mussel toast was quite the dud of the night. Unfortunately, it was drenched in an overly sour escabeche sauce, making it too acidic for my taste. The hamachi and rockfish ceviche were okay. Nothing standout to me about it. Despite this, I would still recommend Manolin for its stunning presentation, cozy outdoor seating, and some truly outstanding dishes. It's a restaurant worth trying, and I'm looking forward to returning to explore more of their rotating menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 14, 2023
An excellent restaurant in the Fremont area of seattle. We ordered several dishes and each one was excellent. The bread is like a Yorkshire pudding. The mussel toast was to die for - I know it doesn't sound like it will be good but it was excellent. The pork at the end was Devine. Yummy cocktails and friendly service make this place worth a stop.

I've been to Manolin a couple times off a family member's recommendation, and have found it to be a bit hit or miss depending on what's on the menu. Their offerings are rotating depending on what's in season, and on my latest visit they offered mostly cold items which didn't suit my taste too much. However, on previous visits they've had items that I've found great and even of the ones I didn't like too much, all dishes were seasoned and had interesting, well balanced flavors.
Service is decent, but cost does add up quick as the dishes are pretty small and you may need to order multiple of the same dish to feel full. Parking is tougher as it's located on a busy street in Fremont, but street parking is usually available nearby.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Billy W.Seattle, WA1573Sep 4, 2023
Really fun and cute restaurant. We sat outside and the atmosphere was great. Food was all delicious, the green salad was so simple but so great and the pork chop was perfectly cooked and the mole was different a tasty. All of the dishes were great and felt unique. Fun restaurant.

Well executed limited selection of modern tapas! The Brazilian cheese bread alone makes the trip worth it. I think we had 8 pieces between the four of us. The flavors on the steak tartare didn't quite work for us; mustard seed seemed a bit out of place. The scallop aguachile and ancho braised pork were the highlights. The aguachile was a refreshing start to the meal! The ancho pork was perfectly seasoned and well cooked.
1. Brazilian cheese bread - 5/5
2. Steak tartare - 3/5
3. Scallop aguachile - 4/5
4. Mussel toast - 3/5
5. Ancho braised pork - 4/5Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alicia S.La Quinta, CA167Aug 19, 2023
Couldn't find a complaint.
Tucked away and cozy but comfortable.
Indoor, outdoor & bar seating.
Sharable unique plates.
Dress up or come casual.
Fair and reasonable prices.
Parking... it is seattle.... can't help it.
Fabulously fun drinks that pair perfectly.
Service was phenomenal. I think people actually enjoy their jobs here!
SAUCES!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohh they are good.

We ordered the:
- Brazilian cheese bread x3
- scallop aguachile
- ancho braised pork
- gigante beans and bonito flake
- mussel toast
- black cod with apricot mole x2
This was an OK amount of food for 4 people, we ordered multiple orders of the bread and cod because the portions are sized for 2 people. We went to Dick's after because the guys were still hungry lol. The total was about $40pp after tax and tip, and we didn't have any drinks.
I thought the Brazilian cheese bread was a good way to start, the scallop aguachile was very fresh, and the cod was tender. I didn't think the beans or pork were standout. The mussel toast also was OK. Nothing bad, some pretty good, and some just ok overall. I'd say overall the "good" dishes were a 4, but with the other dishes and small plates that were hard to share, down to 3 stars overall.
Glad I tried and had a good time with friends! But this would be a better place to try for a nicer date for 2.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 30, 2023
The last time I saw Julie D., we were watching Seattle great Sue Bird, whom saw call the GOAT, play her last regular season game at Climate Pledge Arena. A year later, I knew we had to catch up. (We'd originally planned to do that at Sue Bird's jersey retirement ceremony, but then Julie D.'s kid Marcelo had a soccer tournament. It's probably best we didn't. Although Sue's speech was great, it lasted a full 3 hours, too much for even a die-hard Sue fan like me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZbQVO6SS_Q, though I did listen and savor every minute and word.)
Julie D. first recommended this Thai restaurant that looked dingy and gross, so we quickly regrouped here and sat at the bar here, where there was ample seating. Manolin's menu is sleek and simply. Things are grouped into a few categories: raw bar appetizers, salads, their famous "signature" bread, and more meaty entrees, and that's it. It reminded me of Dr. Sheena Iyengar's research on how we think we want tons of choices when we really actually find it overwhelming and want fewer (I'm proud to have been an undergraduate research rat who contributed to some of this work as a subject.)
Some standouts: the bread and all of the raw bar (esp the halibut). I think Julie D. liked everything, too, though she was being a bit of an almond mom and only eating salad. Staff is super enthusiastic and friendly.
Only downside was Julie D.'s kid Marcelo and her husband "Vic" couldn't join us because they were at a Seattle Mariners game. Gonna have to wait another year before re-engaging the kid and his belief that e-sports are real sports (pfft).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
