If you are new to acupuncture JUST TRY IT!

This was my first experience and now I have been going twice a month here for over a year. Their website even has information on what to expect your first time!

Kaitlin is super great! Very compassionate and listens. Not only that, she remembers details. I wasn't able to go two months, and she still remembered everything about my condition and had good questions when I returned!

It's very casual, and the perfect place if you want a nap in a lazy boy chair anytime during the day.

I have seen their other acupuncturists and they are all great too!

      They also always take walk-ins.

I have been a patient at Flux for many years and have only had good experiences. The compassionate acupuncturists (I have seen a few different practitioners over the years, and they are all top notch) at Flux have successfully treated me for severe menstrual cramps and my PMS has improved since getting acupuncture. I notice I always sleep better after a treatment and feel less stressed for days following. Depending on your condition it can take a several treatments in sequence to see an improvement, which is why a sliding scale acupuncture clinic like Flux is so important to provide services to uninsured and low income folks. Booking online is easy. Thank you Flux!

Heaven! Acupuncture for all! I thought I'd be freaked out with the community style setting however it's actually totally relaxing and cozy. Sliding scale so you can still get help with you need it, lots of availability and somehow special attention even though they're also treating others.
So glad to have this as part of the self care option.

A few months prior to visiting Flux I had undergone major back surgery. For this reason, I went in to receive treatments on my back, hips and buttocks as recommended by my physical therapist. I have visited the Flux Acupuncture Lounge now on 2 occasions, but will not be returning due to their inability to easily accommodate back injuries and for turning me away for treatment despite making an appointment.

The first visit went very well. My acupuncturist was kind, accommodating and gentle. She was very knowledgeable and was dedicated to making sure that I had a great experience. I really adored her. She allowed me to utilize the cupping room, which is the only location with a table where you can lay face down.

On my second visit, despite making an appointment to use the table, I was turned away upon arrival. They told me that unless I wanted to lay face up in a lounge chair that they could not treat me. Although a lounge chair is comfortable, it does not allocate for patients to be placed in any other position, and therefore they cannot provide treatments to the back half of the body. In my condition, I could not lay in the lounge chair as it placed too much pressure on my lumbar spine. I was also turned away in a rude manner, which I really didn't appreciate. There was no inquiry to reschedule when the table was open, they just said they couldn't help me.

I am giving this a 3 star review despite the fact that I will not return to this facility because I like the idea of community acupuncture, sliding scale treatments, and because I received a great treatment the first time I went.

Love this place! I started going here during my second pregnancy and saw Suzi who specialized in women's health/ pregnancy and she is a complete gem! She is so sweet, knowledgeable and always takes the time to understand how I am feeling. I love that you can make an appointment or drop in and it is affordable which is hard to find. I wish there were more alternative medicine places like this. At first I was hesitant because you could be sitting next to others but they have a great atmosphere with comfy chairs that are adequately spaced out and relaxing music playing.

I'd been struggling with a pretty bad case of tennis elbow for about 3 months when a friend recommended Flux. I'd never had acupuncture and felt preeettty nervous about the whole needle concept. I'm also notoriously bad at sitting still and the idea of sitting still for 20 minutes with needles in me was kind of overwhelming. Rebecca was the "punk" on my first visit and she was just amazing, calm and compassionate - she went over my entire health history, checked out my elbow and then talked me through the treatment. I was also nervous about the 'shared' lounge, but it's actually quite lovely & nice to share the space. It feels very healing in there.

The first few treatments focused mostly on my elbow (at the time I started going I couldn't even lift a coffee cup with that arm), though I realized after the very first session that the acupuncture seemed to work wonders on my anxiety in a way that nothing I'd tried in years of western medicine had touched.

About a month into treatment my elbow was 90% better and I was back to mountain biking five times a week. Six months in my elbow is totally healed, my anxiety is still the best its ever been, and my slew of other health hiccups (stomach disorder, asthma, etc.) have improved. I basically go for 'maintenance' now and because I just like it.

Huge kudos and many thanks to Flux for making acupuncture accessible.

Flux far exceeded my expectations. It's a clean and calm environment. The acupuncturist are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've had acupuncture and cupping done here and it was every bit as good as the place I was going to and paying $120 a session at. I actually had the process explained very thoroughly to me here and I've never had that before. I highly recommend Flux Acupuncture Lounge.

      Ahhhhhh-MAZING!

Nathan and Jami really are the BESTEST!

I tried community acupuncture for the very first time when I was prego with my son in 2009. Sadly the Grass Roots Acupuncture Project is no longer - so I was SUPER STOKED to find this lil oasis!

I booked my first appt using their online system - GREAT! Convenient! Received a confirmation email and navigated through the processes seamlessly! I LOVE how I can see all their availabilty online without having to hash out my schedule with a receptionist! I even printed out all my new patient forms online so there was little to do with my first visit.

I was greeted by cheery Nathan! We chatted while Jami tended to a client. I spoke of how I missed GRAP and how I was happy to find them as the acupuncture places I was referred to by my PT Dr. were either too clinical or WAAAAY overpriced, even with insurance!

Then I met Jami - she was pleseant, calm and caring out the get go! Really attentive and nurturing! The space Nathan and Jami have set up is WONDERFUL! The atmosphere is cheery, calming and clean! I was so comfortable even though I was chillin in a room with two other patients.....DIDN'T MATTER! I felt like I was on my OWN PLANET!

I am now going regularly every week! I went in tonight with a neck so stiff you could surf a wave standing on it! Within 10 mins of leaving I felt NO PAIN. I was even human to my Husband when I got home. For a woman who is going on 7 months pregnant, a mom to a Toddler and works - that is AMAZING! When I check into Flux, I feel like I am cheating on the world. I discorvered my lil nugget of me time! And it helps my health and well being!

I give a thousand thumbs up to Nathan and Jami! What a dynamic duo!!!

I came here repeatedly towards the end of my pregnancy. All the staff are great. They each have their own twist on how to go about acupuncture but the results are equally relaxing and useful. They're sliding scale, which makes them much more affordable than most acupuncture clinics.
