Travis at David Adams is an incredible stylist. The facility is clean, customer service is top notch, and all of the stylists are friendly and respectful. I highly recommend them!

My boyfriend researched salons in the area and the reviews were so great here that he bought me a gift certificate for my birthday. I was SO ready for a makeover that would really match the person I have become over the last couple of years.

Its clear that everyone here is really nice, outgoing and down to earth. They made me really feel welcome. I was in the midst of others getting there hair done who had come to this place for years. To me that says alot.

I had my consultation with Ellie, a couple of days before my appointment with her and I really felt like she listened. She is so skilled and creative that she was able to envision something beyond what I had even imagined for my hair. I was elated for my new look.

I went in for my cut and color today and I can honestly say that it is one of the best salon experiences I have ever had. I was there for several hours, talking and overhearing other conversations etc. and it is obvious these people really know what they are doing and beyond that, they love what they do.

My hair looks fashionable, updated and most importantly, I feel pretty and actually "cool" again. I am definitely staying. Thank you so much Ellie and crew!! I am so grateful.

New to the area, I searched Yelp for a good colorist. I haven't had my hair colored in years and was ready for something fun. Enter Ellie. She did a great job on my hair and was reasonably priced. My hair is still soft and doesn't feel at all damaged by the bleaching process. (Also, she's adorable!)

Love love love this salon! My stylist Ellie is the very best! I have referred multiple people to her and they all agree, even my picky mother! Lol. They are so polite and very clean. I recommend their salon to everyone! I know that everyone there is sup r friendly and great!

I went to David Adams so they could fix my hair and they made it worse. I even went in for a consultation and in the consultation they told me they could get me to the hair color that I wanted. I also SHOWED them that my hair was damaged and bleached. Yet they still scheduled me for an appointment. I went on the day of my appointment and left crying. My hair looks terrible. They said it didn't come out the way I wanted it because of my hair EVEN THOUGH I went for a consultation and they told me otherwise. I cried on my drive back home because of how terrible it is. I put my trust in their hairstylists and I feel betrayed. AND they still charged me for a hair color I obviously didn't like. Terrible experience. Don't go there. What's the point of a consultation if they're going to tell you otherwise AFTER they already dyed and processed your hair. I was there for FIVE hours and they finally left my hair like this. The stylists who checked me out was completely rude and blamed ME for what had happened even though I did nothing wrong. She was so unprofessional, did I mention RUDE. She blamed MY HAIR. I obviously don't know enough about hair which is why I went in for a CONSULTATION. After I told her I went in for a consultation with them she stayed quiet because she knew it was their fault for giving me misleading information. How is it my fault if THEY were the ones who told me they can give me the red hair that I wanted. If they would have given my the slightest hint that my hair was not going to come out the way I wanted it, I would've simply avoided dying my hair at all. I've dyed my hair so many times, this is the first time someone leaves it this bad. My hair has never looked this bad. Avoid this salon by all means.

Amazing place!! Got us in super last minute! The hairdressers are so cool, so personable, really gave us an amazing experience! So exited so have stumbled upon this place! Definitely check this place out!

I absolutely love this salon! Ellie is the best hairstylist around and has been working her magic on my hair for a few years now. She is so patient and sweet with my crazy hair ideas and always leaves my hair just as I want it. She once took my hair from black to platinum blonde in just 3 settings and my soft hair did NOT break off or turn orange like it had in the past with other stylists. I'm not sure how she does it but my hair is never damaged from her color. I highly recommend her services and this salon. David Adams Salon is clean, professional, and full of the most loving and sincere people. Ellie prepared my hair for the Miss California USA pageant and all of the Miss Santa Cruz events. I am constantly complimented on my hair and it is all because of Ellie. Seriously ladies if you are looking for a stylist, Ellie is your girl!

I had Travis cut my long hair really short and I'm so glad I did...he's such a nice guy and really knows what he is doing....I will go back again and again I've never been happier! I can't thank you enough Travis

-i don't have much hair really, as described "sparse"
-but i own that sheiyt and make it work...somehow
-well my stylist Travis makes it work and when people think i use products when all i do is run out of the house right after my showers that's a beautiful thang
-he pretty much has my hair down and delivers what i want, but i pretty much trust him when he takes the lead
-the salon is awesome, the view is great too since it's on 41st in capitola, a lot of things pass by that are entertaining
-"i had these feathers in my hair 2 weeks before the competition got their supply delivered" bbwahahahahaa just saying they are up on the lastest trends
=I WILL MARRY TRAVIS EVEN IF HE DOESN'T ASK WHEN HE GETS THAT RAZOR TATTOO WITH A J ON ANY PART OF HIS BODY (read fine print: no not really, i lie)
