Chipotle Mexican Grill

I live two blocks from here and therefore visit this Chipotle periodically (probably twenty times over the last year). In my experience, the food has always been great, and the service is always wonderful.

Being in downtown, they do get pretty busy during lunch, dinner, and weekend hours. Other than that, getting a delicious burrito here is always a snap.

Had a terrible experience at our local Chipotle here in Chicago on 316 N Michigan Ave. The store was a disaster, and the person taking orders was rude and had terrible customer service. I asked them their name and they rudely said, "Gabby, and I'm the manager." What's even more concerning, is that if this is the manager, they're not only treating customers terribly, but also setting a bad example for their employees. This location has a ton of potential and foot traffic, so it should be run exceptionally well. With Chicago having so many fantastic food options, myself and others will proceed to go elsewhere.

Staff was nice but my bowl lacked any sort of flavor or seasoning. Taste like they forgot to season anything. Steak was a little chewy too.

Might be the slowest Chipotle I've ever been to. Not that many options for food in the area in the evenings and I'm able to write most of this in the 20+ minutes I've been in line. If I hadn't just flown into Chicago and been starving wandering around the dead downtown I might've gone elsewhere but many of the listed places that were suppposed to be open were not so here I am.

The food itself wasn't too far off standard though the burrito was more a square than a cylinder but I've noticed at many Chipotles they aren't the best at wrapping up the burritos (but then I'm spoiled since i eat burritos in San Francisco weekly and the Mission Style Burrito is perhaps the greatest burrito in the world) :)

Located on Michigan Avenue, I had high expectations. The serving area looked relatively clean. The dining tables and rest room were not very clean. There were food and bits of napkins on the tables. Only one of two gender neutral restrooms was working. The one which was supposed to work had napkins on the floor, no bathroom tissue, and unflushed toilets. I ordered food already before I went into the restroom. I won't be coming back soon until this is more presentable.

Plug did NOT listen to a word I said. Didnt ask for 2 things and started scooping anyway. Asked for double steak 3 times and did not give me it.

Good food (everything appeared and tasted pretty fresh and they were making more to re-fill the batches of food, toppings and such) Very friendly and helpful service, BUT I suggest you have more staff on hand, 3 people is not enough, and is it fair for only one person to be taking care of customers, making the food and handling checking out while the other two just clean, when there are more than 3-5 people waiting?!?! This is a solid location, but there is room for improvement.

If you need a quick and inexpensive bite near the Riverwalk, this Chipotle can do it. Quick service, solid portions, and consistent taste. The presentation could be better - my burrito was a bit messy and wasn't wrapped carefully. Other than that - it's a Chipotle!
