This review isn't about the patrol officers who are fab. it's for the location of the office and the address attached to it.

21020 Redwood Road can't be seen on a normal driveby. building can be seen on Northridge ave.

short cut: turn right into driveway when u see a Coldwell Banker sign at 21060 go straight on street alongside Northridge. CHP office will be visibly on your left shortly.

CHP officer very professional, courteous getting my collison report
-$10 cost, 5 stars for him. no stars for the driver who hit my vehicle.

Several years back my friend and I received a $194.00 ticket for Jay walking on Redwood Road near Luckys & Bart
If you are going to enforce this law then enforce it because I constantly see people Jay Walking all the time on Redwood Road/ Castro Valley Blvd even in front of the police and the police don't make a U - Turn or stop them. My Jay Walking ticket I received was most likely from a Rookie Cop who was most likely having a bad day. Most police don't stop people for Jay Walking. They don't stop anyone in Oakland or Hayward.

Seriously, If there is no traffic or any vehicles coming, Why would anyone walk from Liquor King Liquor Store to Castro Valley Blvd to use the crosswalk then walk all the way back to Redwood Court? That's completely out of the way. That's fine if there is heavy traffic or lots of cars on the road. It could cause an accident.
CHP should refund my citation I had to pay since they are not enforcing it at all.

Not only did they I'm pretty sure illegally tow my vehicle that had over heated so I pulled off the road and parked with flashers on and went to get coolant when I got back less than 1 hour later they had already towed my vehicle but on top they use a tow company Chambliss and sons towing company who are crooks if you Read their reviews they have many many 1 star reviews about how rude the workers are and how much of liars and crooks they are the only reason I can see they would give a contract to such a horrible crook company is if whichever officer does the contracts is getting kick backs from them

On 11/18/2020 I got into my very first car accident. Someone hit my brand new only three months old car from the back on the freeway and took off on foot after the accident before CHP arrived. My car was totaled. I was traumatized, devastated, all shaken up and heartbroken. CHP Officer Flores (Castro Valley) came in like an angel. He calmed me down, encouraged me and provided incredible support. He made sure that I was safe until my sister picked me up. I so much appreciated his kindness during this most difficult times of my life! Honestly, he was there like a family member! May God bless his kind heart! Thank you all CHP Officers ( and everyone in blue) for all that you do for us! We totally appreciate you!God Bless.

I wish I could remember the name of the officer because he has very helpful and kind. I went to get a report of a car accident in which my dad was a passenger. He said if my dad was around or if I had his ID but I didn't. Then he matched his info from the police report with my ID (same last name and address) so didn't have to return. He even waived the fees :)

I for the first time in my 62 years of life witness what a rude unprofessional police officer could be on 8/13/21. My son avoiding an animal pulled over suddenly turning over his vehicle. When I first arrived at the scene followed by officer McMahon badge 135, first thing out of the officer's mouth was show me your Diver license, proof of insurance and registration. My son provided his DL and I returned to the wrecked car with glass all through the seats looking for the registration but could not find proof of insurance, my daughter-in-law texted proof of insurance that I showed the officer but he said this does not show type of coverage, it was a photo of my exact insurance card with all the information on it. Then with my son finding it hard to stand, the officer said go get your bumper that had fell off his car during the rollover, the bumper was on the side of the road not even on the highway and at least 50 feet from the car. I'v all my life had much respect for the job our law enforcement does and am grateful they put their life on the line for our community. In 62 years never ever had any issues it's a shame that as a mother seen for myself how my son was treated officer McMahon you do not represent all the other good highway patrol officers and to have the nerve to issue a ticket violation 22107 read up on the code my son never should have been given that, too bad that on that day you were the bad apple off the tree.

To the Highway Patrol guys who responded to a solo accident I just had on 580....you guys ROCK!
As I was driving home from work there was a deer on 580 near the Estudillo exit. I avoided the deer yet lost control of my car. I must've spun around a few times, and came to rest facing the wrong way after hitting the center divider.
The CHP officers were like Super Heroes to me! They got me off the freeway and helped ease me as I was extremely shaken up.
I am eternally grateful to the 4 CHP officers who helped me.
I just needed to share this with the world.
      Thank you so much!

Thank you for making our freeways safe . I see that message boards on Highways remind motorists, with phrases that's easily to remember , click it or ticket, and so on . Is it possible to add a phrase , stating BLINKING SAVES LIVES . Deaths on highways can be reduced significantly by reminding motorists to use their turn signals , when entering another lane . Thank you

The best place to go if you have tickets to be taken care of. A fantastic place to have your new child's car seat inspected so that you KNOW that it is installed properly. Each and every officer in the CHP are there to help you. Know this! The Highway Patrol Officers are all really great women and men.

I feel like a lot of these reviews have no merit, seeing as it's only your fault alone if you get ticketed for speeding or whatever. But! I have my own one star rating to lend based on phone interactions.

My husband and I are expecting our first child next month and we wanted to be extra sure the car seat is installed correctly. We heard someone can install and inspect your car seat for you at all CHP offices so we called CV CHP to set up an appointment to do so. AND WE'RE STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK A WEEK LATER. Why offer an appointment-based service and pay lip service time and time again that you're passing the message on and we WILL get a call back, etc if no one is EVER going to follow through?

Not only is this a terrible "business" practice, but it's unsafe! We're trying to do the most responsible thing possible by having a professional look at our car seat installation to protect our infant and NO ONE ELSE is prioritizing the safety of our child in the way they should be- even though it's their JOB. I'm seriously livid about the whole thing.

Luckily for me, I found a YOUTUBE VIDEO by a child safety seat installation professional for our specific seat that leaves me feeling confident I can do it myself in an accurate and safe manner. Shame on CV CHP for having no sense of urgency, or even courtesy, when dealing with new parents who WANT to follow California State Law.
