Blockbuster Video

I was pleasantly suprised by the great customer service in this place.

I ended up here because its New year's eve and all the kiosks are sold out of new releases ( redbox and blockbuster express ) but they had everything here. It is $4.99 for a 3 day rental of brand new release or you can just buy the dvd for $20-- thats convenient!

I hadntbeen to a store for years and they easily looked me up without any hassle. Even when I was in line I saw each customer treated well and engaged in conversation. Good stuff.

came here to check out the 4 dvds for $20 because I think that it is one of the best deals that they run here since it's some pretty recent DVDs that they have on sale and such, but since they are previous viewed you might run into some trouble.

I got 4 dvds and watched them, and found out that they were all scratched. I guess it was my fault, but I guess that they are half to blame too.

anyways, make sure you have receipts for your sales because otherwise you won't be able to make your return.

I'm afraid of Blockbuster for a couple of reasons....the colors are atrocious and very disturbing.....the florescent lights are way tooooooo bright and the movies are always scratched....but as Sarah T. says it's a last resort when you have nothing better to do with your life and pay per view is offering sheit films.

Also very annoyed at the level in which the candy is displayed. Don't ever take a hungry kid in here or any normal kid in here as the candy is conveniently placed at their eye level and easily swiped.

My then toddler child grabbed some candy and started opening it up while we walked out of the store. I threw it back in the DVD return slot and some horrible customer actually came out and scolded me for stealing. Shame on him for not understanding who was really at fault here.

But if you sign up online they do send out coupons for cheap rentals.

I'm no a big fan of this franchise. First, they actually edit some of the movies the blockbuster brass doesn't like the content off (check out Y Tu Mama Tambien, and compare it to the big screen version. Key plot points are missing because they are deemed sexually inappropriate.) Second, for a place that doesn't have an adult section, they carry way too much cinemax after dark crap.
However, as far as blockbuster outlets go, this one is well stocked and has friendly and knowledgeable staff.
