The ride was fine, but I was charged twice for it.

If I could award negative stars, I would. This is the only base approved taxi service at this time. That means if you are attached to a ship you are at their mercy to help you get where you are going.
I most recently called to get a ride from this service and they confirmed that I was waiting at the mall by chili's and then sent the driver to another location. When I received a call from the driver he was angry at me for his dispatchers mistake and hung up on me. After waiting for ten minutes for him to pick me up, I called him back. He screamed at me and said I had to call back again to dispatch to get a ride and I should know that.

made a reservation 24 hours in advance. They left us hanging. Had to phone a friend just to get to the airport on time.

I used this cab company twice and had different experiences both times. The first was when we took a cab from the airport to the Hampton Roads area, the second was when we took a cab from Waterside Marketplace to a destination which was about 7 miles away.
The first cab driver was a bit on the slow side. It took him a few minutes to think of a restaurant to recommend to us in the city, and when my cell phone rang while he was talking, he didn't seem happy that he was interrupted. He also used a pretty derogatory slang term to describe some of the ethnic population in Norfolk and didn't have any receipts to give us when it was time for us to pay him.
The second cab driver was awesome. He was driving a fully loaded Lincoln SUV with motorized doors to gain entry into the back seats, he was knowledgeable about the area and was well spoken. Arranged a pickup for 05:30 and they arrived about ten minutes early. The driver was helpful enough to pop the trunk so that I could load the two suitcases into it. He needed to use his GPS to get from the development towards the highway. That was interesting. As well, we only had two minor misses with other cars while he drove us to the airport with a "check engine" light on the dashboard.
We arrived safely and he said that he preferred if we'd pay in cash. We did.

I have used them several times before. Most trips unmemorable to meh. Reliability has been above average.
The good about today
1. On time pick up at my home
2. Friendly
3. No issues with credit card payment
The not so good
1. Did not get out of car to assist either side of trip (it was raining)
2. Floor mat on the passenger seat on my space (he apologized)
3. Heavy accent, hard to understand
4. Driver ask me for directions when having a GPS

ZERO STARS IF YELP WOULD LET ME!!
Used them 8 months ago for a 0-dark-30 flight. Driver was late for a prearranged pick up, dispatch didn't have any info about the driver's whereabouts, and driver was unapologetic about delay.
I thought then "never again," but I found myself in a bind and this was the only local company I could remember. I called for a ride from ORF and the dispatch rudely informed me that they don't pick up at ORF. Taxi services wonder why they are going out of business. I SCHEDULED a 4:00 a.m. Pickup to go to airport. Made appointment three days in advance. Called night before to verify. Called 30 minutes before pickup to verify they would there at 4:00 a.m. Called 5 minutes after pickup. Called 10 minutes after pickup. At 4:15 called Uber and driver arrived in 5 minutes... Taxi still not there at 4:20... SAD

Scheduled a pick up a day in advance, had issues with dispatch. After 10 minutes past the scheduled time I called. More issues with dispatch.
