Sideshow Events

I must say Sideshow Events was awesome in both talent and speed. Daniel was our guy for the community event we had and his balloon designs were just awe-mazing! The photos I posted were just the tip of the iceberg as they only snapshot just a few of his creations that inspired me to stop people to take a picture. He was fast which was great because the lines didn't build up. He was also very personable, which makes for a bonus when it comes to those things because they need to be socially adept! I will definitely keep Sideshow Events as our main when it comes to Balloon Artistry at its finest. They are so well worth the money!

We attended a 5-year-old's birthday party and the balloon twisting was incredibly sophisticated, detailed, and impressive. The huge spider and the Little Mermaid were my favorite creations.

Even more fun than the outrageous balloons designs may have been the colorful airbrush tattoos. They sprayed on very quickly so there was never a big line. There were over 50 designs to choose from, and my son got four tattoos, including a flaming basketball on his cheek and a sun on his arm. I got a firefly on my arm, which made me look like a real badass.

Called a few days before my sons' joint birthday party and they were able to fit us in their already busy schedule! Actually came a little earlier than expected, but that was fine with me! Thank you guys so much for coming on such short notice!

It was Daniel that came again this year and he was awesome! Very friendly and great with the stress of all the kids (and adults) that wanted something!

You guys will always be our go-to for balloon art!

This is probably the first review of its kind on Yelp, but for parents & others who are planning parties and want a balloon artist, look no further than Jimmie from AdventureBalloons. Some friends recently hired Jimmie for their son's 2nd birthday party, and everyone in attendance was enthralled by the balloon hats, animals, backpacks, and costumes that Jimmie kept himself busy making. The balloon Elmo bore a striking resemblance to the real Elmo, as did the Dora the Explorer and Pooh Bear.

I was a little disappointed that he wasn't able (or perhaps interested) in doing a sea otter or sheep (these being my two favorite mammals) but he did make me a very cool backpack-type sculpture. See photos!

Of course, I write all this without knowing how much he charges to come to a party, but I'm sure that it was worth every penny that my friends spent.

Best balloon guys in the Bay Area! Everyone at our party enjoyed it - both kids and adults! They arrived on time and were even willing to stay for an extra 30 minutes since there was still a long line to get a balloon made. I'd highly recommend them at your event whether company event or kids birthday party!

Great! They were able to come through when another place we had booked cancelled on us last minute. The balloon artist was very talented, creative and friendly! Multiple guest commented on how great he was in coming up with balloons for their kids who couldn't decide what they wanted. This will now be my go-to company for future parties!

I can't rave ENOUGH about their services. I hired them a few years ago for airbrush tattoos at my son's birthday in Montclair park and was too lazy to right a well deserving 5-star review. So here I am now, 2 years later writing a review for my other son's birthday party at Ohgane in Oakland where Gideon and his team KILLED it. Everyone left in awe of his balloon twisting skills. He made things we didn't even know were possible. He's a genius and all of the parents at the party asked for their info. Worth every penny and will hire them again.

AMAZING! We threw a superhero party for our seven year-old and hired Daniel as our balloon artist. He captured the attention of all the children for 1.5 hours and made unbelievable balloon creations. Daniel's handle on super hero characters was impressive. He was also good at pretty much anything--his fairies and princesses were beautiful. Every child was ecstatic.

We also hired Rene, a cartoon artist, to draw family portraits in superhero outfits as party favors. We looooved the portraits. Some have posted their portraits on Facebook. Most of us will frame the portraits and hang them in our family room. It kicked up the party a notch. As the kids were busy with balloons, the adults watched Rene draw and commented on the details of his drawings and how he captured the likeness of each guest. Our minds were blown. We extended his time twice. It's a lot of work for Rene to draw all the families so expect him to be at your party for a while. Also, although the attire is a small detail, we appreciated Rene showing up in an artist outfit with a beret and vest. It was a nice touch.

they are excellent with kids, not a tear in sight, even after your kids pop their swords for the 9th time, they happily make them another even fancier then their first. They also have alot of choices with the airbrush tattoos. if they dont have what your looking for, you can request freehand mostly adults ask for the freehand option face tats hell yeah!!! tribal on ur face in pink why not, sadly since my skin is a tad darker they had to cover the pink with black it actually look legit the pink kinda meshed with a red tone making the black pop more making it look like a freshly done tattoo, kudos for these guys.

all smiles, easy to talk to, balloon skills beyond excellent, honestly i think the parents may have had more fun then kids ahha I definitely recommend these folks to do any kid party

If you're ever looking for a great balloon artist then this is the place to check out. We were eating at Applebee's and noticed that there was an artist going around making balloons for all the little kids. Some of the balloons that I started to see were amazing. I noticed a basket full of flowers, a race car, and a gigantic spider attached to a little boy's shoulders and hovering over his head.

As Jimmie came closer I noticed that he was from AB's. I had booked them once before for one of my company's Halloween party. I then knew we were in good hands. My daughter didn't really know what she wanted. Jimmie suggested a crown, a princess, and a flower. All she did was nod no. Then he finally figured out that she didn't want anything girly, so he suggested a dragon. She agreed to it right away. As Jimmie was making the dragon, my daughter pulled me aside and said this dragon is like you mommy. How sweet is that? I'm a dragon in the Chinese zodiac sign. She was very pleased once Jimmie was done. He didn't ask for any money, but I gave him a couple of dollars anyway for the great job that he did with the balloons and with the big smile on my daughters face.
