This will forever be my go to for BBQ from, well honestly, a few months ago, on out. I first tried The Patriotic Pig when I was pregnant during COVID back in April when they popped up on DoorDash after another BBQ place cancelled my order. I first only ordered because it said Patriotic and being a Veteran, it caught my attention. Needless to say, this place kept me afloat for the last couple months of my pregnancy . I've recommended it to everyone that asks about BBQ since. The brisket is ALWAYS tender and juicy. The Mac and cheese is phenomenal and creamy. I'm the type of person that just does not like beans but for some reason ordered the bbq baked beans and OMG, they're delicious! I'm a fat kid at heart, well more than that, but I LOVE food and to keep me going back says a lot for this place! Oh by the way, it's owned by another Veteran, which is just the cherry on top for me!

My children love this cafe because of the in use airplane runway and the close proximity to the trains. The cafe also has a made to order pancake station where they make their famous pineapple upside down pancakes. The Saturday and Sunday buffet is amazing. If you're going to eat here, you need to go between 7-8 or you're gonna be waiting!!!

I heard about this place from a customer that I delivered DoorDash to. He said it was amazing. The place is pretty cool. They have pool tables and games. The service was consistent and good as well.

My 3 star review comes from the food. The Texan burger I had was ok. The bacon wrapped jalapeños definitely NEED to be de-seeded and de-veined!!! I'm one to snack on pickled jalapeños and usually eat them with everything. I even love making my own bacon wrapped jalapeños; it's just tedious. So I was excited when I seen that they had them on their menu. However, they just add the cream cheese on top of the seeds and veins. This makes them unbearable and inedible. Out of the whole appetizer l, I was only able to manage 2 at a time before my whole body felt like it was on fire. I'd say only about 2 of them were tolerable!!!

We stayed here during a Soldier Ride with the Wounded Warrior Project. The hotel is beautiful and so is the view of the backside where the Comal river runs. The food served during our group meals was amazing. It wasn't just continental breakfast foods. The staff was extremely helpful and even offered me a cup of coffee from the bistro when the self serve machine was down. We were on the 4th floor and the only thing that was distracting was when the air conditioner would come on to rooms below us, it would feel like a small constant earthquake until it went off!!! Otherwise, an amazing stay and we would come back!!

When it comes to pepperoni or meats pizza, this place 'Rocks' it. These 2 pizzas are the only ones we have tried though. However, I do believe that they should stick to pizza because the ribs were not good at all. They were tough and chewy which means they were cooked too quickly.
