Great service on our clogged kitchen sink drain. Discussed options with us about how to handle the drain, Johann was very friendly and professional. Also helped discuss possible future work that needs to be done at our home. Solved the problem! Would definitely recommend!

Yoga Box has been really great so far. I have taken Power Vinyasa Flow with Andre a few times a week for a month now and he's amazing/welcoming/challenging/great sequences & music. The other students are friendly, the studio is simple/minimalist (which I love) and it's easy to get to (there's a free parking lot behind the studio, and I usually find free street parking close by if the lot is full).

I was a Corepower student for years but decided to try Yoga Box - a friend recommended it- after I felt safe enough to return to classes post-pandemic and I am fully satisfied. They heat the room pretty high but it's worth it, and they have cool colored lights that are fun.

They have an app that's easy to use. You can book your spot in class easily on the app. Andre's class books up pretty quickly, but there are plenty of classes to choose from early to mid-day to late evening.

      Highly recommend this studio.

    • Hair Salons

Krystal has been cutting my son's hair for a few years, and thank goodness. She tames his wild mane and he always looks so.. dapper after a cut. She's also just the happiest person you'll ever meet and her vibe is so calm. So grateful we found her and can see her regularly for a cut and some fun. **We have seen her since Covid times and she is taking every precaution possible for safety. We have been majorly quarantining and felt very safe coming to see her. Salvage Salon is doing an incredible job during these wild times.

This review is for A. The restaurant and also B. The movie theater.

      A. A friend and I came here for dinner pretty late because we had drinks at the bar at a different place in Liberty Station and by the time we realized we were hungry, it was closing time. Wandered down to the Lot because they were open and had the best service I've had in a very long time. Alejandro sat us and was friendly and attentive our entire meal. We had a different actual server and I regretibly forget his name because he was also amazing. He buys his glasses on Zelly.com if that helps identify him.. haha, we had a conversation about his great glasses. Anyway - we had the cocktails he recomended which were amazing, a flat bread, edamame, and tortilla soups. Food was delicious. You wouldn't think a movie theater would have great food, but they really do.
They close at 10 or 11, but had a good handful of customers and told us they would just stay open until everyone was done. Usually I would feel like an ass for staying later than closing time, but they swore it was fine because there were late showings of Star Wars and they had people still wandering in. We left at midnight! It was such a great experience and makes me want to eat there every night. Good service goes such a long way. The staff seemed like they all really enjoyed working there. They were friendly and chatting with each other, but always attentive to all the guests and made us feel like they wanted us there. I've also had a quick meal here before a movie with my teenager and it was a very enjoyable experience.

Ok, B. The theater is comfortable and has spoiled me from watching movies at any other theater. I've had mostly totally expected great experiences here. Lately the service has been a little hit and miss- food gets served and drinks come 30+ mins later. Dessert has been completely forgotten. Servers don't come when button pushed. We saw Frozen II and there was a kid screaming almost the whole time.. obvs this happens when you're at a kids movie but you'd think with a $20+ ticket price and staff coming in and out of the theater constantly it would be rad if they could help out in these situations.
I like coming to early morning movies on weekdays or random matenees to avoid packed theaters so noise is less and servers can pay attention. This is still my favorite theater, even with service issues.

This may be the longest review I've ever left.

This preschool is exactly what a preschool should be. A warm, loving environment with enough structure to teach kids certain skills, and tons of free play so their minds can explore and create. One of my kids went here from age 3-5, and a few years later, my youngest started attending at 2 years old. It's his last year here before Kinder and I'm actually so sad to be leaving soon.
The director, Kate, and her daughter both run operations at the school and are wonderful with the kids. The rest of the teachers have always been amazing and you can tell they really care for the kids and get along with one another. Catrina has been a teacher at the school long enough to have taught both our middle and youngest son and they both adore her so much.
The entire staff take the time to get to know each child individually and tailor their teaching to the kids needs. It's homey inside, and they have a great outdoor space where the kids can play frequently, as well as a quiet garden space for small groups. The teachers are constantly doing new art projects, science experiments, dance parties, etc with the kids. They have a handful of celebrations each year like a lantern walk, Halloween ball, meet and greet at the park, and other gatherings where families can get to know each other.
This preschool will become a second family to you and your child. I have met my best fellow mom and dad friends here.
My son started kindergarten full of confidence and skills he needed to feel successful and still full of wonder and curiosity. I know our youngest will do the same. We are forever grateful that we happened to move into the neighborhood and find this preschool. I have reccomended it to countless friends and neighbors.
