I've been taking my car here for over 5 years. The past couple years they seemed to have really improved their service. My past few washes have been excellent. I frequently travel to dusty places for my photo road trips and I've brought my SUV to them really dirty, especially inside - the past few times and they have cleaned it so well I had forgotten how nice my 10 year old car cleans up.
They offer buy 3 get one free wash, and lately I've been buying that package with the $59.99 car wash service. They are the best car wash service in Marin that I've tried. Also, they will wash vehicles with roof boxes! :)

Pros: good pricing: $45 for a mani/pedi. Nice environment and people. Massage chair. Great pedi massage.

Cons: Kim, who did my mani, was distracted and booking appointments and doing other things while doing my mani. Did not really trim my cuticles and gave a light massage. Tom, who did my pedi, gave a great massage but also did not trim my toe cuticles much and did not remove some of the polish on my cuticles and skin (dark turquoise). Even missed polishing half of one of my little toes. I don't think he could see well enough to notice those details. They were definitely on half hour appointment schedules, trying to get me out of the massage chair within 30 minutes for another customer. Too rushed!

It was not until I got home later and I put on my reading glasses that I noticed these basic items that were over looked, or because they were so rushed did not do that great of a job.

San Marin Animal Hospital has been our vet for our three dogs since early 2017 when we moved to West Novato. Dr. Bennett is by far the best Vet in this office, correctly diagnosing patients and maintaining an empathetic and patient demeanor. Dr. Williams is friendly and patient, but was unable to correctly diagnose one of our dogs when she had an object in her gut, leading to more than $2,000 in extra charges until Dr. Bennett stepped in (we paid about $5,500 to have the object removed).

The veterinary technicians have always been friendly and patient. However one of the reception staff - Michaela, seems to always have an abrupt rudeness, cutting off anything I need or have to say. There is absolutely no reason to be rude and condescending. This has happened several times with this same receptionist, so I'm taking my three dogs elsewhere.

I heard back from Dr. Bennett today after bringing this to her attention. Rather than backing up the client, she backs up her rude receptionist because she is "knowledgeable." And supports me taking my business elsewhere. Absolutely mind blowing. I had given them 3 stars, now 1.

This is a top notch family owned business. Dave and Jess are organized and very responsive. I rented the Topanga trailer and it was perfect for my needs and my trip to the Southern California desert areas of Lone Pine and Death Valley. This was my second time renting a trailer and they give you all the information you need - prior to travel they provide tips, tricks and information to get you up to speed, at pickup you get a thorough download and during your travels they are available all day to answer questions and provide suggestions should you have issues.

I love these small trailers - they are light but have all the amenities. The heater worked great as I camped for 2 nights (with hookups) in Tahoe and Gardnerville Nevada (lows in the teens). The other nice thing is they provide towels, linens and all the kitchen items, so you really don't have to bring all of that yourself.

I highly recommend renting from Dave and Jess and will do so again!

      Updated review

I left a review March 2018 (see below) about the horrific service and quality control. I was finally contacted by the store manager, Chris Farrar. He was very apologetic and said he would look into everything and that many changes were occurring that explained bad customer service, low stock levels, etc. He gave me a $100 gift card as reparation. He said they were in the process of hiring new people and building better customer service teams. Everything did seem to improve for awhile.

Yet, there are still big problems. Being understaffed (bakery never seems to have anyone behind the counter), workers having no clue why something is out of stock or discontinued, some cashiers and baggers talking amongst themselves, ignoring the customer (even employees who have been there several years). Worse than this is produce such as peaches, nectarines and berries beginning to mold the day after purchase, and advertised pricing not being honored at the register.

This is an ongoing problem, prompting me to make unscheduled return trips to whole foods to return moldy food or get a refund on pricing mistakes. A lot of time and energy spent monitoring my food purchases at Whole Foods, something I NEVER have to do at other markets.

I emailed Chris Farrar again recently, and it took him two weeks to get back to me, again explaining the reasons and promising to take steps to improve on the problems. So far, he has not offered any incentive for me to return shopping at the Novato Whole Foods.
