Outright racist financial branch.
Here is why: not long ago, I opened an account; apparently all went well, as I was making a large deposit by check. All the required forms of ID were presented and my credit check was ran, employment verification etc. - kind of like TSA. Days later I am getting a call from the employee who opened my account to ask me about my citizenship and status, passport, naturalization certificate and to prove that I am indeed a citizen. When I told them that the AL driver's license is issued based on a passport and / or birth certificate, they told me that I could buy that illegally on the "market" for 100$ - really ?! So, then how could these "Einsteins" differentiate between a fake passport and a real one ?! Although I am a naturalized citizen, and all the credit checks they ran on me came right, yet they still were profiling me for my accent and looks. I wonder how many "real Americans" need to provide a passport when they going to this branch. There are a few conclusions I can draw from here: if you have an accent or don't have an AL accent, then you must be a suspect and possible fraudster ( who by the way brings in the branch a large check and has direct deposit from my employer) ; second conclusion is that this guys have no clue of how personal data is handled and that is worrisome - God knows how the money will be handled later down the road ! Needles to say that the same day I went down the road to a different bank - a real bank - and with the same forms of ID I have opened an account with no Nazi interrogations. My 2 cents: think twice before banking here. Free checking is nowadays available pretty much anywhere.
