First time trying this bbq and I must say the small piece I was able to sneak off my friends sandwich was really good. The sauce was pretty tasty. Cornelius (I hope I spelled that right) was the young man that took our order. Even being a teenager he was VERY professional and VERY mannerable. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they were out of a few meats I would have loved to try but it was the end of the day so it's understandable. I will be back.
This restaurant has the perfect name! The catfish nuggets were simply delish! The fried potatoes and onions and red beans and rice were YUMMY. The young lady that took my order was a jewel. I didn't think to ask her name but she has a strong accent. She was very pleasant. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they were unable to provide fish or chicken for someone that has a shellfish allergy because of limited burners. But because she was so nice I just took it in stride and went and got that person something else to eat.
Awesome food and service to say the least. Was greeted by Gabby the waitress and quickly seated. She took her time to tell me about the different types of oysters they had. She was very knowledgeable. Even went into the texture and taste of each type oyster. Once I started to place my order she then told me that the Happy Hour oyster special could only be honored at the bar. Once she handed me over to the bartender the taste of heaven began. I started off with a 1/2 dozen of oysters. A couple of the oysters were pretty small :( but tasty. Before I could lay my fork down, my fried oysters were in front of me ready to be devoured. They were soooooo good. Fresh, properly seasoned and that says a lot being I'm a Southern girl and pride myself on my seasoning skills in the kitchen. The fried oysters (small plate) didn't come with a side but was filling. I throughly enjoyed my dinner and will make sure to visit this establishment when I'm in the DC area again.
I didn't give them 5 stars because of the slight confusion of the happy hour
Where do I start? OMG there were soooo many breakfast options to choose from.... I wanted to try something new so I tried the fried flounder with grits and egg whites. Major YUM! The flounder was fresh, seasoned and fried to perfection. The grits had just the right amount of butter. I tried to finish my meal but there was simply too much food ..... I also had well attempted to have a mimosa but that baby was STRONG...but I'm not a big drinker so to others it may have been just fine. I have NO complaints about this restaurant. Even with a 45 minute wait, the meal was soooo worth it and the prices were just right!
Arrived at this restaurant around 9:30pm. There wasn't really a crowd but it took over 15 minutes for us to be seated even without people ahead of us. We were seated at a dirty table. When the server came to wipe the table off there was no apology for having to wipe while we were sitting.
The food was pretty tasty. This is the first time I tried She Crab Soup. Not bad.... the fried oysters and fried scallops were yummy. The cook did come out to greet us and even answered questions I had about some of the food that I wasn't familiar with on the menu.
The waitress never came to refill tea or water.
Overall Service was crappy but the food was really good.
