I own a store close to CVS. They've always been good neighbors to us and incredibly helpful. I stopped in the other day during a really rough week. Yesterday, a few employees from the store stopped into my shop just to check on me to make sure I was doing ok. This was incredibly thoughtful and I can't tell you just how much I appreciated it.
I thought I knew what a leaf was but apparently it means miracle worker. Leaf has been able to do something my wife and I had been incapable of doing in eight years: making my son enjoy eating vegetables. That's how good their cauliflower Buffalo Bites are. Shocked and speechless, we even showed him a picture of raw cauliflower and he just shrugged his shoulders and kept eating.
Since that day, we've been able to get him to eat vegetables regularly. I'm amazed. Their food is delicious and I could write about it in detail but, to me, this instance shows just how much they're able to elevate their vegan eats to the next level.
The Bistro is a great spot for breakfast or brunch on the weekends with the family -- and pretty much any other meal. If I'm having a stressful day, this is my goto spot. The Bistro burger and French Onion soup always lift my spirits. Their creme brulee cheesecake is .
Sweet T's is absolutely a gem but it's hard to say it's hidden anymore. Its massive footprint is undeniable. Just ask for a South Jersey bakery recommendation anywhere on social media and a flood of "Sweet T's" responses will immediately follow.
The bakeshop opened up around the time our favorite bakery in town closed and we were so happy to find it. Their flavor combinations are amazing, their design work is flawless, and their crew is awesome. Every time they post something new on social media, I'm convinced that they could win any one of those TV baking competitions.
I stop in nearly every morning for a coffee or iced chai and maybe a blueberry muffin or brown butter sea salt cookie. I always have a great conversation with Chris and the team in there during my visits and love checking out their latest masterpieces sitting in the fridge waiting to be picked up.
Toni and her team consistently outdo themselves and raise the bar for cakes and other baked goods in the area.
Le Cafe Creperie is such a great escape from the chaos of daily life. Stepping through the front door, you instantly forget your troubles and begin enjoying the light and pleasant music, and quaint ambiance.
I love sitting facing out towards Kings Highway, especially now that the weather has improved and they've added new umbrellas and tables outside. I kind of just want to sit back, cross my legs, and get lost in a book while sipping my French press.
The owner, Ash, is very friendly and welcoming. I sometimes eat lunch there by myself on a work break and he will come over to accompany me with good conversation. It's much appreciated, as I love learning about his culinary adventures, worldly travels, and family. His son, who has seemingly had some influence on the restaurant, is a seasoned chef who studied under Marc Vetri for years.
You cannot go wrong with their crepes, though my personal favorites are the Breton, Asiago Artichoke, and pretty much all of the desserts. Their French Onion soup is also one of my favorites.
