      What an amazing event! Kim the jungle room media manager checked us in and gave us our lucky raffle ticket! There was a scavenger hunt for itty bitties that was too much fun! The plant swap was definitely the gem of the event. Everyone was so kind and informative and generous! We hope our lemon meringue pathos cuttings made it to many happy homes! 10/10!!!

      The osprey was our Sunday brunch pick this week. Tons of pros and a short set of cons, but the cliff notes version is that this is a great spot to bring your littles for a long and lazy brunch so long as you are well prepared.

      Pros;
      Our server Jake was absolutely top notch. He knew the menu inside and out, he brought food for the kiddos so fast it could make your head spin and he was on top of every plate change and modification. Truly A++ service

      The setting is beautiful. Lovely restaurant and while the don't offer booster seats they have several very clean high chairs available

      All the ingredients and components of the meal were fresh and lovely. Everything photographed beautifully.

      The kids brunch was the most delicious thing we ordered tbh. At 8$ it is worth every penny. The potatoes were crispy and fluffy and perfectly seasoned. My littles ate every speck of scrambled egg and the bacon was beautifully crispy.

      Cons;
      I think their chef dislikes salt. Even the Bloody Mary needed more salt. It was surprising. The best seasoned dish was in fact the kids meal.

      I think the descriptions of the items in the menu do not well match what is presented. We ordered the crispy breakfast potatoes and were expecting something akin to poutine. Instead the entire plate tasted intensely of woodsmoke. Wonderful if you are expecting it but very overpowering if you are not.

      The Szechuan crusted tuna; I'd expect spices to be, well, spicy. This dish is beautiful but lacked flavor.

      And the spring tomatoes was the most complex and interesting dish, but had our waiter not explained that there would be a raspberry sorbet and the dish would be somewhat sweet, I would have been very disappointed.

      Also this is a little thing but if a restaurant offers bruleed grapefruit I expect the grapefruit to be a bit more prepared than just cut in half. It was a bit embarrassing to struggle with an unsegmented citrus coated in whole leaf mint and pistachio.

      I will definitely try the osprey again, but maybe not for brunch. Also trust your server! They will guide you to what's delicious and help you find out what details aren't written on the menu.

      Hands down the best happy hour I've been to in Orlando. Everything from start to finish was fantastic.

      Happy hour runs until 7pm. We had a big group and two babies with us so I was thrilled when they said happy hour extended beyond the bar area.

      They really went out of their way to accommodate the kids. My sons fish and chips came out so fast! They have juice boxes and covered cups of water. Their menu has a coloring page on the back and they provide wax toys at the table. I was amazed. I HIGHLY recommend if you have kids.

      We tried almost the entire happy hour menu only skipping the sliders and it was all very good. The firecracker shrimp were a table favorite and should not be missed.

      The peel and eat shrimp were huge and fresh and perfectly cooked.

      The fish tacos are a very generous portion . If you are going out on a budget those tacos (which come with rice) and their white sangria are a perfect meal.

      The clam strips were crispy and salty and a wonderful addition to happy hour.

      Their raw oysters were served with a marvelous fresh vinegar with cucumber that really stood out.

      Our server Roni was so great!!!!

      Seriously don't miss Thai happy hour. It's so fresh, so local, and so very enjoyable!!! I will be back 10/10

      Had a lovely time for brunch. There was a miscommunication at the beginning but the manager handled it all very well. For reference YES you should try to make a reservation for brunch. The place is packed. If you do not have a reservation you can walk in and wait or you can go to the beer garden, but be forewarned the bear garden has an entirely different menu.

      Also there is ample parking.

      If you have kids they are in for a treat. My son got the tempura shrimp and fries. He loved it. The presentation and serving sizes were very mature and he didn't feel singled out at all. The shrimp were also perfectly done. We all sampled and enjoyed them.

      If you aren't a pork eater the ravenous pig is still a great spot for you! They have house made charcuterie that includes a braesaola and a liver mousse. The apple fritters have tons of apple in them and were dense and delicious.

      We loved the prime rib hash! Very rich and flavorful and the eggs were perfectly done.

      I'll love to come back for happy hour or maybe to try out that beer garden!

      What a fantastic spot in winter park! AJ's is right on the corner, has its own parking lot and has an amazingly friendly and attentive staff. I took my two babies and they were made right at home immediately. The interior is cozy with ample plus seating and there are tables outside as well.

      I'd also like to note that the bathrooms were impeccably clean and nice.

      On to the food!!!

      1) chocolates. All the chocolates I've been told are imported, primarily from Lithuania. I had a ton of fun selecting from their long serpentine counter to make a box as a gift. My son adores the white chocolate hazelnut truffle. So good!

      We ordered the cotton cheesecake, a simple latte, a fruity lemonade and an affogato with chocolate and almond.

      I am so sad I didn't take my usual photos of everything, but it was too good!!!! My husband finished his latte before I had the chance, but reports it was frothy and delicious.

      The lemonade came with a muddle of berries in the bottom and my 2 year old had too much fun picking them out to enjoy.

      The cheesecake came drizzled in milk chocolate which stayed deliciously runny. The cake itself was baked, almost basque but still quite light and the portion is more than generous.

      I'm saving the best for last. That affogato was an experience. The espresso was perfect, but the ice cream... oh my god. I was told after the fact that it is churned in house. It is rich and sweet and creamy. The whole experience was more akin to having a very adult sundae with beautifully balanced espresso as an accent. Do not miss this treat.

      I will be back. I've gotten a tip that they make both American style hot chocolate and a true French warm chocolate with cream. I think I'll need to come back to do a taste comparison... more than once!
