I wish I could say I could rate the service here. I walked in with my girlfriend. We waited ten minutes while two people were helping others. During those ten minutes, another person who worked there was standing on her phone ten feet away from us, but I had assumed she was on her break because she hadn't come up to us and she greeted a Potbelly delivery person immediately when they entered. A couple, a man and a woman, then came in, and she immediately walked over and asked what they needed help with, not even three feet from where we were standing and waiting.

I'm so thankful that I typically don't feel discriminated against according to my sexual orientation within Chicago, but today felt like blatant discrimination.

It's 11:10. You were supposed to be open ten minutes ago. Unfortunately, you lost my business plus another person's business that tried to get food too. If your hours changed to open after 11:00, it would've been nice for you to have a sign with the hours posted on your door or to have updated your Yelp page with accurate information.

***UPDATE*** I was able to contact another facility nearby. They were able to take my reservation over the phone when I called instead of making me wait for after the evaluation, and I was able to do the 1 hour evaluation when I dropped her off - no $25 evaluation fee or $8/day "late registration charge." I ended up saving $61 in total because this place charged $4 less per day as well! I was able to check on my dog during her stay, watch her play outside, and she came back happy! While I had hoped to have my pet stay at All Dogs, I was able to find a different place that both kept her happy and saved me a few dollars in the process!****


Unfortunately, this review is not regarding the actual camp experience but regarding the registration process. I am traveling to Washington D.C. and want my dog boarded in close proximity to where I am staying. I had done my research and was excited to have my dog board in what seemed to be a place where she would feel safe and have fun.

I called today to try to make a reservation for boarding, well over 24 hours in advance, per their policy. I spoke to Kasha, who seemed cheerful and friendly. She informed me that I would need to have my dog evaluated to make sure she is friendly by putting her in a room with other dogs for an hour. I knew this would not be a problem, and told her as such, since my dog is friendly and has never had any issue with other dogs at her day camp or at dog parks. This was a $25 fee, which I told her is understandable, and I was willing to pay.

I tried to continue my reservation. She told me that I am not allowed to make my reservation until AFTER the evaluation, which means there would be an additional $8/day charge for a "late registration." I tried explaining that I was from out of town and could not drop my dog off a day in advance for an evaluation. Additionally, what if the boarding slots fill up? Am I just supposed to wait and hope that there is a spot still open a few days from now for her?

I tried reserving a spot for my dog. I tried doing everything "right." I know that this was not Kasha's fault but the company's policy, and she was trying to follow protocol. Unfortunately, this place's policy leaves someone like me with uncertainties and financial frustrations.

Huge menu, large portions that taste great, reasonably priced, large delivery area without the large delivery fee, and a discount for ordering online? What's not to like? This is my new favorite Italian!
